Intaba'umbikezeli ------------The Mountain Seers -----Ikhansela ------------------------ Council Lady ~ A powerful 'seer' who sits on the Intaba'umbikezeli Council ~Name: Wayra Meaning: Native American Quechua name meaning "wind." Mate: deceased Pride: Intaba'umbikezeli (The Mountain Seers) Rank: Ikhansela (council) Pride 'Seer' ability: Strong (8/10)
.:Over View:. Wayra is an older lioness, her iron grey coat a good match for her steely will and iron discipline. That's not to say she is hard hearted, she has raised her fair share of orphans and strays. She is however, very experienced, not only in the way of the pride, but also in handling individuals. She is a steady, hard working lioness who has a measured and practical outlook on life. As a young lioness she had been a fighter, a warrior, a scout, a healer. Her drive and fire to prove her worth led her down many paths, and with her youth and spirited temper she proved she was as good as any male on the battle field, as skilled and as driven a hunter as any other pride member. But as the years passed the rough, prickly lioness slowly settled, making mistakes and unwillingly learning from them. Life smoothed her edges, taught her humility and grace, patience and courage. Gone was the wild fire of youth, and in its place burned the slow, steady flames of experience. Now, in her later years, her actions were respected and her words considered wise. A corner stone for the younger generation to learn from, to go to for advise and guidance. She has also developed one of the most powerful seer abilities in the pride. She has long ago given up the idea of being a mother, her mate having died several years before after failing to gifted her with cubs. Unknown to her, it was he who had been infertile after a hunting accident, but in her life now as a council member, she doesn't expect to take a new mate.
.:IC:. The older female was in fact one of the six Ikhansela members, one who watched over the pride, protected and guided them, offered advise and reassurance, and sometimes when it was warranted.. a harsh tongue. Wayra was in fact the most powerful Seer the pride possessed, even more so than their exalted Kabaila'umbikezeli, the High Priestesses. Yet the strength of her powers were well matched by the strength of her character, and it had been her patrolling the land's boarders several seasons ago, she who guarded them from ill-tempered rogues. Yet age forgave no one and she had reluctantly left the stress and rigour of the Icala'phaths rank to advance to the position of Council, taking on a more advisory role within the pride she so loved.
Yet still, the lioness frequently left the safety of the mountain valley in order to walk the pride's outer boundary, surrendering herself to the wild call of life that still sounded in her veins and within her soul. After a life spent first as a Warrior, and then as the Offence Commander before finally being selected to advance to the Council, the new, quieter life was alien and strange to her, though her duties kept her more than busy, she missed the wilderness of the land, the thrill of battle, the sense of accomplishment when she completed her duty successfully. Yet the years of hard learned skill and knowledge wee now put to use in a new and equally demanding way, but sometimes she missed the simplicity of her previous life.

The missing Piece ~ Pausing she tilted her head, looking outwards towards the pride's boundary, yet her focus was something a little closer... Sighing softly she walked forwards, ducking under the low branch of a windswept Acadia tree and settled down beside the bubbling stream. For along moment she simply sat, silently watching the cubs scamper and play in the warm sunlight. It wasn't often that the accomplished and well tempered lioness thought of her lost mate and the family she had never possessed... but the rare moment when she stopped and looked around, watched the families go about their daily life... sometimes she wondered... Oh, she loved the cubs she had taken in, cared and raised them with a strict paw and a loving heart, but they were not hers... ~
The Pride: (~ Seer ability, coat colours and protégée) The mountain seers are a secluded, but old pride that resides nestled in the valley between two snow peaked mountains. The Mountain Seers are a highly religious and female-dominant (but not exclusive) pride who worship the gods daily and were blessed with the gift of sight because of it. Obviously, their 'sight' is not a real seer ability (They would all have to be half-gods or very lucky in their seer rolls) but is in fact an old disease that is rampant amongst the women of the pride that causes them massive hallucinations.
Within the pride, light coat colours are highly favoured with pure white being the most desired, indicating the lion/ess has been chosen by the Gods. Consequently, those with lighter, or pure white coats are heavily encouraged to produce as many cubs as they can within their lifetime and are tended to be ridiculed if they consciously decide not to reproduce. For this reason, flings between pale coated lions are very much encouraged, for the most desirable colors it's even encouraged. It's a way for the Intaba'umbikezeli to bring in new blood to the pride. Even if you are a mated pair but one is the right coloring they'll encourage it, even if the lion/ess is not comfortable with it. There's a lot of pressure in this pride.
Pride IT Thread
Backstory: Wayra is the Intaba'umbikezeli's most powerful Seer (Rolls), born of one of the pride's oldest bloodlines she can trace her lineage all the way back to the almost mythical mountain valley lion pride. Her mother was a mid-level Seer, a lioness of a pure white colouring who held the honored position of iNkosi'enyula, one of the God Chosen. Her sire was a low ranked lion, a Ibutho (warrior) by the name of Maza'blask, his dark iron grey coat was not as favoured within the pride, for it was patterned as if he were covered in armour, yet the pair were deeply in love and no one could bring themselves to try and part them. Aiyanna did her duty, raising two litters of cubs fathered by another pure white male in the pride, but there after she and her lifemate were completely faithful to each other. Wayra was the eldest born of the pair's last litter before her mother's untimely death in a freak rock slide. Wayra grew up with memories of her sweet natured seer mother, while training under the loving but firm paw of her father.
As soon as she was of age, Wayra entered the Ibutho (warrior) caste and trained long and hard to be the best that she could be. Within a year after her acceptance her elderly father passed away, leaving Wayra and her two siblings as the last of the blood line. The youngest of the three, a gentle, shy lioness with the desired pure white coat, died in childbirth with her very first litter. The brother, paler of coat than Wayra herself even before he began to whiten with age, was ambushed during one of his last scouting missions and died back home in his den with only Wayra and his mate at his side.
After the loss of her father, Wayra threw herself into her work, training morning and night. Within another year she had over taken her brother in skill and advanced to being the Offensive Commander's second, when the elder lion retired, Wayra stepped into his paw prints, taking on the mantle of Icala'phatha with dedication, skill and determination. It was also during this time that she met, recruited, and finally fell in love with her mate, a kind hearted, bear of a lion named Ohitekah. The brown-coloured lion was her confident and companion for many years, though he eventually died in an especially vicious attack by a local band of bachelor rogues. Wayra was heart broken, left alone without even young ones to carry on her beloved 'Tekah's memory, she threw herself body and soul into her work.
The stone-coloured and iron-willed lioness held and retained the position of Icala'phatha throughout her adulthood, surviving not only rogue and pride attacks from outside, but also the great Floods that decimated the pride from within, and the last biggest blow.. the death of her mate. Yet time and tide wait for no man and when a bad injury laid her up in her den for a season, the Kabaila'umbikezeli came to her and asked that she consider taking her place on the pride's Council. That very night, Wayra received the strongest vision of her lifetime and the very next day, shaken and sleep-deprived, she went to the sisters and accepted.
The problem: Now, with the pure white sister long dead, and her brother leaving behind a heart broken mate and three litters of grey and black coated offspring, and she herself cubless with only the memory of her lost mate to warm her nights, Wayra is the last of her bloodline still surviving, and the last hope for a iNkosi'enyula (God choosen) descendent.
But.. Wayra considers herself barren. Never having been able to conceive with her mate Ohitekah she has long since given up the hope of having her own cubs, even though doing so would have been bitter sweet without her beloved beside her. The actual truth of the matter is that it was never Wayra who was unable to reproduce, but Ohitekah himself. After an accident in his youth, the lion had been left infertile. But with both Wayra and Ohitekah being faithful to each other, they never realised it was he and not her who was handicapped.
Wayra is an older lioness now, a full Council member she is nearing the end of her days, though she is as stubbon and as wilful as she has ever been, there is one last part of her life that has remained unresolved... kids. Mother to many in the pride, either as advisor, teacher, mentor, aunt, or adoptive parent, she loves her extended family with all her heart, yet possesses one last wish for her own children. This is not just the longing of a mother, but of one who loves her pride. It is not only expected that she should produce cubs for the future of the pride itself, but with her position as Ikhansela and the fact that she is the strongest seer in the pride today, it is one last duty that she feels entirely compelled to fulfil before she can pass on without regret.
The Solution: Divine intervention. Wayra is a true believer in the Gods, while she has never felt the priestesses calling, she has devoted her life to her pride and their beliefs, protecting them with her strength and will. As such, she holds all Gods in the highest respect and believes them capable of true miracles. Even so far as being able to overcome infertility. To her, the god is a powerful and mighty male, mortal concerns such as fertility and breed are of no concern to him. Her body would simply be a vessel for his power, her own health has no bearing on the matter. While not a cure, it is her last hope for cubs.
Since she is not actually barren (it was her mate) she will have no problem baring cubs, but will always believe that it was the god's power that allowed her to reproduce.
OOC: While the above is a plot that has appeared and grown as I've played her and spent time thinking about her life. Her status as the pride's most powerful seer (a chance roll of the RNG) and her position as a Council member means the pride will be pressuring her to produce pure Seer cubs.

Dreams of The Future ~ 0 ~OOC needs: ○ The male needs to be a god, or a god in mortal form. (Anything so long as he will produce seer cubs) ○ Pale colours are preferred, since the pride aim for pure white offspring. But OOCly, I am no picky as I can custom a pure white cub if needs be. ○ Can be good or evil. How his half of the plot works is up to you (does he take advantage of her, does he help her willingly) I can work Wayra round his requirements. ○ She can leave the pride's boundary, but she can not go wandering all over the rogue lands, so he would have to come to her. ○ Uhhh... I know shes not the most striking, but Im hoping someone takes pity on her? ninja

I can ofer a fling if you like. I have the god of famine and though he isnt cry pale coated he can hide his colour so that the cubs would all come out in her colour. Jaddis is actually martyr he suffers as his domain does. He is actually a heavily caring lion though he cn be deeply angered which has happened only once in his past and produced the only set of mortal cubs that he has, at let in this generation. If she askedmhim to help her he would even thou hit would cause him great pain to help her out, (jacks casts away his pain from his body so that he can take away the pain of those suffering starvation) to feel he has to allow all of the feelings to come back and he suffers. Jaddis isn't the prettiest of guys but his appearance is only skin deep. Any way if you would like a fling with him he can hide his colours if you like, or if you like his colours they can just have a natural litter.

It might take me a bit to build the RP(Because he's almost to 10 for one breeding, and needs 5 for another), but I can offer Xavier: He'd come with Yutu, his hare, for the RP, and having no markings... He'd be able to sire some lovely pale cubs xd Or... Green... lol
