Jacob bit into his bottom lip as he walked into the clinic. This place had been Kisa's idea. Why they couldn't do it his way was beyond him. Her answer had been some crap about not trusting him not to make their child into some mutated experiment. He huffed and shot her an annoyed look. He had only been joking about it. Well.....mostly at least. But if he wanted to keep some sanity around the house, he'd have to let her have her way. His only other option was putting up with her annoying little sister. Play hell that would happen. Thus....here he was...walking into this godforsaken sterile clinic.

Kisa sent a frown in Jacob's direction. No way was she going to allow him to harm her children. No matter how strong his desire to play doctor was. Sure, he said he knew what he was doing, but she felt safer in the hands of actual doctors.
"Very clean, isn't it?" Kisa teased him, taking his hand. "I love you, Jacob. I just--" she sighed. "I don't want anything going wrong." She was so used to fae healers that she wasn't quite sure she even trusted the doctors here.

Ronchas strode out into the hallway with a clipboard in his hands. He looked grumpy... but then Ronchas always seemed to be grumpy. He listened to the receptionist without looking at her and then handed her the clipboard. "Just take this and file it under the patient's mother. That's where it belongs." He glanced up at couple who had just entered, and then returned his attention to the receptionist. "Just send in the next couple when you're ready."
And he turned and dissappeared back into his checkup room.

The receptionist filed the clipboard away and waved Kisa and Jacob to go on back.
Jacob watched Ronchas come and go. With a disgusted shake of his head he looked back to his mate. "Are you really sure about this?" After seeing him, Jacob was certain he could find better care for his mate and children at the bottom of a cracker jack box.
[Bleh...short post is super short. Sorry....T.T]

Kisa also looked uncertain. She took Jacob's hand and gave it a squeeze. "I'm not sure," she confessed. She had never trusted doctors; and this doctor certainly seemed worthy of her distrust. "I'm nervous," she added, for Jacob's ears only. "If something goes wrong, I want you to be my doctor. As long as... you know. No experiments."
After all, if she couldn't trust the man who both loved and hated her with a fierce passion, who could she trust?

The receptionist took their information, and after hearing them talk in the waiting room, she felt the need to reassure them. "He may not be a nice person, but he's a damn fine doctor... besides, he's not the only one in the place, Nell's the other main practitioner here and she's nice as the day is long." She pointed them to the door that Ronchas had disappeared through.
"He'll be waiting. Don't be scared, he's not really as angry or grumpy as he looks, it's just his face." She laughed.

Jacob suppressed a grin. "I would gladly be your doctor, my love." He wisely kept his mouth shut. There was no need to mention that it wouldn't be experiments per se. Simply a study on the effects of a large parasitic organism growing inside a thin and almost comically tiny unseelie body. He was certain that it would be a cause of great pain and discomfort, which would be an wonderful educational tool on the pain threshold of the woman.
With a curt nod to the receptionist he lead Kisa through the door. Looking around he scowled in an annoyed and unimpressed way. "We're here for an appointment."

"I know you would, love," Kisa frowned at her husband. She knew exactly what he meant--or at least she thought so. She wasn't about to let the elf mess with her insides. No. She didn't trust him enough for that. In fact, she didn't trust anyone when it came to that.
She followed him through the door and gave his hand a squeeze. Enough to let him know that she was nervous--but not nervous enough to leave just yet.

Dr. Julianna was out talking to the nurse when Dr. Ronchas appeared still as grumpy, when he walked away towards the room, Julianna followed behind him. "Dr. you know, if you want me to do the appointment, I don't mind doing it." She gave him a smile, and he handed the file over. Feeling successful, she headed towards the room she'd seen the couple enter and knocked on the door before entering. "Hello, I'm Dr. Julianna, Dr. Ronchas is a little busy today so I'll be your doctor today." She extended her hand towards both of them then went to take a seat by the desk, crossing a leg over the other and opening their file to read over a few things. When she looked back up to them, she put her glasses on and quietly waited.

Jacob turned to regard the woman with nothing less than sheer contempt. "What the hell ever. Just get this over with quickly." Scrunching up his nose as if she were a pile of disgusting ooze he moved to the side of the room, his eyes following both women carefully. He let out a hiss and looked away. Another damn whore to deal with. At least this one would be in and out of his life with minimal interaction. He hoped. Still, it bothered him that a filthy woman would be touching his wife and child.

Kisa was amused--and unamused. Jacob's reaction was priceless. It proved one thing, anyway; the elf was already feeling protective of the children within her, even if he wouldn't admit it. "Pleasure to meet you, Dr. Julianna," Kisa said with a smile that did little more than reveal her fangs. It was a subtle warning as well; if the doctor screwed up, well, she wasn't going to live to make another mistake.
After all, what were most humaniods for, if not for eating?

Dr. Julianna narrowed her eyes at the man, she closed their file abruptly with a little more sharpness then intended. It wasn't her place to judge parents on how they raised their children, everyone deserved a chance at having children, but she had her worries. She turned to the woman and offered her a smile. "Pleasure to meet you too. Now our clinic offers parents who are unable to conceive the chance to have children. Some come in because of incompatibility of species or gender, and I can help them. Some parents have genetic or other health problems that make it difficult to conceive or carry a child. Now I can see you've come in because of the difference in species, unless your husband has hidden fangs under his tongue." She paused, Julianna had wanted to say more, but she wouldn't play his game. "We take DNA from both parents and make them compatible, this process usually takes a week before you are called back in for the artificial insemination. Any questions?" Short and sweet, just like she liked her appointments.

His eyes narrowed as they settled on the woman once more. Wisely he chose to keep his mouth shut. The faster she did her damn job, the faster they could get the hell out and be done with it. There was positively nothing wrong with his child. Like always it was yet another woman preening and trying to act like she mattered. To be honest, the only reason he was here was because it mattered to Kisa. And, no matter how much he hated to admit it, he loved her. My fangs -or lack of- is none of her business. "Kisa. Can we make this fast? We have important things to do still, and I'm sick of waiting around in this dump."

((Sorry, I was just a bit confused. We were playing Kisa as if she was already pregnant. We didn't know it was a doctor appointment to make he pregnant.))
"I don't know if I can't have children," Kisa mused. She was a fae made to steal the hearts (and souls, quite literally) of young men. True she had never concieved, but she had never wanted to. She had never tried. "And elves and fae aren't usually incompatible." What? She couldn't help it if the doctor was a bit dim. Besides, the less upset Jacob got, the better the appointment would go. She put an arm around Jacob and forced a smile for his benefit.
"Let's make this fast," she agreed. "My husband's not the most patient--and he can do damage, fangs or not."
