Aries cursed under his breath, wondering why his sister chose to go on vacation on one of the biggest nights of the year and also the busiest. The chef needed to find a babysitter or he would have to call off work and the latter option was not something he thought Maria would react well to it.
Keya on the other hand was playing with her toys in the living room, humming to herself while her father was trying to figure out who to call and beg to watch his daughter.
"Daddy, Louie's card," Keya's words surprised him. He picked up said card, having the crest of the ravena clan as the background with Louie's name and address. He frowned and called.
Hours later and after some convincing from Eve and Ivy, Aries now waited for the babysitter that Eve said would come to watch Keya. It was a boy, much to the young father's disdain, but Keya seemed to look forward to meeting him.

Howl certainly felt out of place when he was called for a babysitting job. He was a wizard; and wizards didn't babysit. At least when it wasn't their own children. He knocked on the door; having followed the address he'd been given. He hoped this wasn't some kind of prank.
Who in their right mind would have him babysit? He couldn't handle his own son, muchless the children of others. Oh well, babysitting provided him with money, and money gave him the ability to purchase new clothes. He swept the black hair out of his eyes and knocked again.
All he had to do now was wait. Wait and hope the kid he was babysitting was well behaved, and enjoyed magic.

Keya peeked her orange haired head out of the living room as her father went to answer the door. She smiled when she saw the annoyed look on her father's face. Aries was being a tad too overprotective of her. This Howl seemed like a good babysitter though she didn't understand why her father didn't like him.
After some chat with Ivy, Aries really didn't want Howl to babysit Keya. He refused to let anyone teach his little girl magic. It could have been a trait of the ravena clan since most of the clan seemed wary of magic. Aries answered the door with a frown.
"Would you be Howl?" He asked dryly while Keya skipped over and hugged one of his legs, her eyes wide as she looked up at Howl.
"Hi!"

"That's right," Howl said with a smile, pushing his hair back out of his eyes. "I'm Howl. The great royal wizard, the greatest wizard in all Ingary." Ivy had told Howl of Aries' attitude when it came to magic, and quite frankly, he was going to tease him. "I'm also known as horrible heartless Howl," he added with a smirk.
"Would you be Aries?" he asked, tilting his head and giving the adult his best innocent expression. He bent down to hug Keya with a smile.
"And you must be Keya," he said. "You're even more beautiful than they described you to be, dear. It's wonderful to meet you."

Aries frowned harder, trying to keep his face composed while Keya was around. He hadn't yelled around her yet and he didn't plan on scaring his little girl like that. He forced his face composed at Howl's words, regarding the part about him being a wizard.
The man glanced down at his daughter, sighing as Keya seemed to like Howl at the moment. He had already promised her that Howl would be her babysitter.
"I've got some food in the fridge that you can heat up for dinner for yourself and Keya. Her bedtime is eight and she is to have only one hour of tv watching."
Keya didn't pay attention to her father as he explained. She was smiling up at Howl though a blush came to her face when he said she was beautiful. Daddy said she was cute and adorable while Maria, her father's boss said she would make someone a good wife someday.
Keya nodded, "I Keya! Daddy's Aries. Don't pay any mind to his mood. He grumpy."
She hugged Howl's leg in greeting, thinking he was very cute especially with the black hair.

Howl could only smirk. Couldn't Aries see that Keya was magical, even if she did not have lessons? "No need," he said. "I brought food for her, some finger foods. Peanut butter and jelly, sliced fruits, a cookie if she's good--" The wizard started to name the foods his younger brother liked when he was babysitting.
"One hour of television, got it. I've got a surprise for Keya later," he added, smiling down at the toddler. "Do you like story books?" he asked. "I have a special one for you, if you're a good girl." He was sure she would be. Children could easily be bribed, and this one seemed especially well behaved.
What a pity Howl would have to corrupt her. "I'm Howl. Nice to meet you, Keya. I think we're going to be good friends."

"Keya's a little bit of a picky eater, but she'll tell you if she doesn't like a kind of food. Also I have talked to Ivy and Eve. No magic lessons or fairytales. "
Keya giggled at the mention of sweets. She adored sweets. Cakes and cookies were her favorite though her father only gave her them after he made sure she had eaten everything on her plate.
Keya nodded as she loved being read to, "No fairytales, Daddy doesn't want me to hear them for some reason." Part of her tone was cheeky and made her father glance at her. Keya was usually very well behaved, she didn't know why, but she had a sense that she should obey her father and anyone in charge.
Aries frowned at Howl and picked up his daughter, hugging her close before kissing her forehead, "Keya, behave for Howl please and no sweets till after dinner."
Keya smiled and nodded, being sat on her feet again. Aries then grabbed his coat and departed from the house for the evening.
