Jericho padded along, his bow looking distinctly worse for wear. It looked more like a scarf now, still tied around his neck but hanging limp in front of him and trailing lightly on the ground. Jericho didn’t mind; it felt too big, anyways. The gray haired bob jumped up on a bench, scouting the area around him. This area of the park seemed fairly empty at the moment. Jericho was currently questing for a patch of tall grass or flowers to romp in, and he hadn’t yet found one to his liking.

Hopping back down off the bench, the young tom trotted off to see what was on the other side of a line of trees, the tatters of his ribbon whispering quietly on the ground. “Loch Taber is draining, such a sight to see.~” He sang, making up for any solid tune with great heaps of enthusiasm. “Loch Taber is draining, and all the fish set free. They’ve pulled the plug, it’s under a rug, yae cannae give it a hug, cuz it’s twice as big as a tree!” He giggled, darting forward around a tree trunk with a big grin plastered on his face. Abandoning his quest for a suitable field, he raced in circles around the tree trunk, giggling and playing at chasing his miniscule tail. “Where yae run, I cannae go; I see your footprints in the snow.~ Yae tail’s a bob and yae nose a switch, and on yae rump a great big itch!” Jericho whooped, spinning in circles before rolling on to his back and pawing for his tail, laughing delightedly.

Train resembled a half-trodden rug, sprawled out along the grass. His back lay against the ground, four limbs rose up into the air. Lying limp was something he was fairly good at, and he was determined not to lose that given talent anytime soon. Still unused to being outside, despite it being many months now, he was double nervous since the one cat he happened to know seemed to have wandered off somewhere, leaving him limp and alone. Her non-stop chatter was not there to calm, or I suppose confuse, the poor thing.

A single ear flicked as he heard noise. It was unique to him, and rather pleasant. "Pleasant, but.. rather odd." Thought Train, and he twitched a tail.

As he stopped to consider what it might be, the instinct to flee was far greater, and took over the boys mind. He twitched up, fleeing to a nearby tree. With all the might he could muster, leaping at that tree, he fell short.. instead face-planting into the bark. He latched there, motionless, barely a foot off the ground. As great shame overtook him, he stared at the bark, sighing. Whatever it was, it could very well eat him. But as he cautiously turned to the side, all he saw was another boy, around his size.

"He could.. could.. still eat me.. I suppose.. " He frowned, pondering.

Jericho's tail was proving elusive. The short nub wiggled as he squirmed, always a few centimeters out of his grasp. Writhing this way and that, he tried to lay hands on the little bob tail on his rump. Reaching forward with a momentous effort, he grabbed hold of it, letting out a triumphant whoop. Bob finally between his front paws, Jericho giggled happily. He was in a rather awkward position; curled almost double in on himself with his legs splayed out on either side and lying on his back on top of all that. Peering about between his legs, bob still in paw; he noticed a white protrusion on a tree nearby that wasn’t there a moment ago. Observing it for a few more seconds, Jericho realized that is was another cat, white with a brown tail, which was clinging to the bark of the tree and looking rather nervously at him.

’Ello!” He grinned, pulling himself up into a splayed sit. “Dinnae see yae there! My name’s Jericho.” He beamed, cocking his head to the side and looking quizzically up at the mostly white tom. “What’s your name?” Jericho always liked meeting new people, and it was a delight to run into someone his own age, and a tom at that. He hoped that the other might want to play; it was always fun to play with more people. He shuffled himself slightly, wiggling his hind end a little, perpertually brimming over with good spirits.

Watching the other play, he stayed glued to his tree. He wanted to cry, feeling rather ridiculous at this point. This wasn't the first time he attempted to flee from another stray around his age. It also was not the first time a tree defeated him. Staring at the bark still, as if trying to make sure it didn't up and run away, he sighed again. He slowly uncoiled from around it's width, trying to calm himself down.

"I .. really.. have g.. got to get a spine... "

He fidgeted, turning slowly back to the other cat. It seemed to be done playing, and looking his way. He stared long and hard, taken aback by the rather cheerful look on his face... the chatter from him to someone else in the area... Someone.. else.

It took him a while.

His face was likely red under all that fur, as he tried to fluff said fur back down as he panicked once again.

"I.. I'm sorry.. I.. I didn't mean to ignore you like that. I.. I just .. I don't do well with ... I would say new people, bu.. "

Sighing, he untucked a leaf from his fur.

"..but I would say I don't do well with life in general. I.. I'm Train. It's nice to meet you. "
