The black wild dog had wandered around all morning and was now taking a refreshing drink from the river. As always, he bowed his head in thanks to the Earth Mother before and after he had his fill of the crystal clear cooling waters. His very hippie and drawl like voice rang loud and clear over the currents. "Praise to the Earth Mother for keeping our thirst quenched!" he grinned up at the sky as a few birds flew out from the racket he was making. "FAIR WELL BROTHERS AND SISTERS! Fly truuuuue!" he grinned and wagged his tail, his tongue lolling out to one side. His features were forever plastered with a lazy grin and half shut eyes. (think 8D)
As he let out a yawn, he stretched his front limbs out and arched his back before shaking himself out, making his fur stand on end. He looked like one giant fuzz ball as the wind began to blow, not helping his poofy situation any. As he licked his chops, he slowly turned around to set off to find something else to occupy his time. Perhaps he would meet a new brother or sister today? Only time would tell. The Earth Mother had already blessed today with fine weather!

Mys'ketay walked slowly towards a small river that had been a few miles away from where she had rested the night before. She was constantly on the move, afraid that her father might have gone looking for her and find her. Meaning she would have to return to her life as a slave. A small sigh escaped her lips. Why had she been born so unlucky? As she continued to walk she noticed a large black poofy ball coming in her direction. "What is that?!" She said with shock. Were her eyes tricking her? Was it because she had not eaten or drank anything in the last twenty-two hours? As she got closer she realized it was something she had never seen before. What is it? Unsure she decided she would ask it. "What are you?" Mys'ketay asked with a smile.

Flicking his ears, the wild dog turned to view a lioness coming his way. Normally, one of his species miiiight be a little wary of such a powerful cat, but Faeris wasn't the one to think that way. In fact, one could argue he really didn't think at all. With the same lazy grin, the wild dog beamed a smile. "Ai am but a child of the Earth Mother, same as you! Same are we all maan!" he said in a very drawn out hippie style voice. "But if you mean specifics dude, I am but a dog of wild nature, born to roam the very land that I luuuuuuv." he grinned cheekily.
His tail wagged and thumped against the ground as he blinked his two colored eyes. One blue, one gold. His tongue lolled out the corner of his mouth. "HAIL SISTER. Feel the sweet wind as she blows...aaah, PRAISE THE EARTH MOTHER!" he shouted, simply high on life and happy to be living. "What fortune smiles upon you todaaay?" he beamed, glad to have someone to talk too.

Mys'ketay was slightly confused when the dog began to talk about a earth mother and in a strange voice. But then again it just furthered her infatuation with him. "You are mighty strange... But very interesting all at the same time." She said with a large smile. "Who is the earth mother?" She asked in confusion. "And I'm doing good? How about you?" Mys'ketay asked in a questioning voice.

Faeris let out a soft gasp as his usually slit for eyes opened wide. "You don't know of the Earth Mother maaan? Why she's everything! She's the grass...." he said and ran his paws through the grass softly. "She's the wind and the water!" he said, his tongue lolling to the side as he stuck his muzzle up into the air. "She's the very earth we live on! Through her, we are able to live! And her sister, the Mother Moon protects us while she sleeps maan." he said in a deep almost philosophical voice. He was very serious about all this, as its been his way of life since he could remember.
His tail wagged happily, thumping out a tun on the ground as he panted a bit. "Every meal, I thank her, and before I sleep I ask her sister to keep us all safe while we slumber." he nodded, his stomach letting out a rumbling growl. He chuckled, shaking his head causing his scruffy mane to bounce too and fro. "All this talk it makes me hungry!" he grinned. "So where do you hail from friend?"
