Mys'ketay sat underneath a large tree that only provided a small amount of shade in hopes of cooling down. A small sigh escaped her mouth as she looked out at the open plains. There was not a single soul wandering around, which made her feeling of being completely alone worse. She had recently left her father in hopes of finding a home that would provide safety and stability, something she had never experianced before. She closed her eyes for a moment to take in the slightly cool breeze that washed over the plains for a moment. After it had passed she opened her eyes to see a small male cub not to far away from her. "Hello there!"

The little pastel leopard cub had been watching and stalking the lioness for quite some time. Even though his mother and family were always on the move, he had never really seen a lion up close. His two colored eyes were wide with both curiosity and shock at how large she was. "Woooaaahhh....." he breathed out in a sort of whisper. When she called out to him, he smirked and padded closer without any fear, not that he was afraid in the first place. Bajingan's downfall was that he was never afraid, even when he really should be.
"Yer laik SOOOO HUGE!" he exclaimed in his normal way of mispronouncing things on purpose just because it made his mother upset. He had escaped her to irritate her more, though he knew the cruel blue leopardess didn't care one bit about him and his family. Even Caitan, though at times... he had his doubts about that too. But just IMAGINE the stories he could walk back with and tell to them! Wouldn't they be so jealous of his skills at subduing a lioness and getting her to do what he wanted. His stories were always exaggerated, this scenario wouldn't be any different, no matter how it turned out.
Stepping closer, he sniffed her boldly, touching his nose to one of her paws. "Whats yer name?" he said with a tilt of his head and a flick of his tail.

Mys'ketay laughed and smiled at the young male cub. He seemed to be different different from other cubs she had seen traveling with their mothers. To begin with he had spots, something she had never encountered before. What was he? "Yes I am rather large compared to you." She said with a smile. "But one day when you grow up you shall be as big if not bigger than me." She replied in a friendly tone. "My name is Mys'ketay. What is your's young cub?" She asked, curious to see what the cub might say. Maybe he would know exactly what he was and inform her. "May I ask what you are exactly? I have never seen a cub or any other with spots before." She said honestly. Mys'ketay had never been allowed to leave her father's den until she finally ran away. He wanted to keep her as his prisoner forever. His only joy in life came from making other's miserable.

Baji tilted his head at both her name and her questions. But he did smirk at her words. Of course he was going to be big, he was just that awesome! "I'm Bajingan. But you can call me Most awesomest Baji!" he grinned a toothy grin. "And I am a leopard!" he said with pride as he puffed up his chest. "When I get bigger, I'm going to be DIS BIG FER SEREUS!" he shouted as he stood up on his hind toes and stretched out his front limbs as wide as he could get them to go. That seemed to be his favorite line, as he was always saying it.
Once he was done trying to impress her, he flopped back on his haunches, his front limps still held up at his chest like a little meerkat. He blinked his two colored eyes at her again. "Yer names funny. Where'd ya come from? Do you have any family?" he asked, looking about. "I've got three other brothers." he said in a boastful tone. "But I'm the coolest." he smirked. He liked to think he was the coolest. His mom sure didn't think so. "You got any kids? I bet yera better mom than mine. She's lame. Totally lame. And limps. HOW LAME IS THAT?!" he ran on and on and on. He never seemed to shut up.

Mys'ketay did not mind the young leopard cub babbling on about his family or anything that came to his young mind. "I'm sure you will be even bigger then that!" She said, encouraging his young mind to imagine whatever he wanted to imagine. "I come from a land that is VERY far away from here." She said with a smile. "I did. I had a father. However, he was a terrible person and as soon as I reached adulthood I ran away." Mys'ketay replied kindly. "I'm very sorry about your relationship with your mother." She said with a frown. She knew all to well what it felt like to feel unwanted and unloved by your own parent. Mys'ketay laughed when Baji began asking if she had a cubs. "I don't have any children. I have just recently come of age to have cubs." She said with a laugh as she lightly rubbed the young cubs head. "But thank you for that compliment." She said with a nod. "Well maybe she recieved her limp from another leopard?" She said in a questioning statement.

Baji shrugged off her questions, and grinned as she ruffled his head. With a grin and a flash of his sparkling teeth, he grabbed her paw with his own, his bi-colored eyes wide at how hers almost engulfed both his. "Wooooaaaah. So cool. And yer dad sounds as lame as my mom. Dunno why she limps. Dun really care." he said, still inspecting her paw.
And then it hit him. A brilliant idea that he couldn't help but wonder why he hadn't already thought about it. "You ran away?!?! Really??!" he beamed, suddenly leaping closer to her face and playfully batting at her nose. "I'ma do that. Yup. I'ma run away." he said as he puffed out his chest to look all big and tough. "Fact, maybe I'll run away right now. Oh man, wont Poi be jealous!" he grinned.....and then it faded.
He had forgot about his brothers. If he ran away he'd never see them again. Caitan, he could live with not seeing him....ever. But Poi....and even little quite shy Ume? He would miss them so much..... Maybe running away wasn't such a good idea after all.... or maybe. "NO! I gots a BETTAR idea! I'll take them with me! Me and Poi and Ume and Me and... well Caitan can stay with mum, those two get along like two stink beetles in a puddle of stagnent water." he grinned cheekily at his own comment, realizing how much of a genius he was.

Mys'ketay smiled down at the cub. "He was very 'lame'." She repeated. As soon as she said it she regreted it. "You can't run away! You are just a young cub!" She said frowning and looking at him intently. "I mean.... You can when you are old enough. But right now you need to take advantage of the home you have." She said nuzzling him softly. "No matter how bad things are right now they will get better. And it's not as bad as living on you're own." Mys'ketay said with a small smile. "You will have to try and hunt for yourself, and nine out of ten times you will be unsuccessful." She said with a slight nod.

Baji giggled at her nuzzling. It was the first real physical affection he had received in a long time....well that wasn't from his brothers that is. But when she took back her idea, he frowned and placed his paws on her nose. "NUUUH. I'm super awesome. I once hunted this...this... beefalowed that was like DISBIGSOHUGE!" he boasted, his excitement causing his words to run together. "And I was like super master hunter and killed it in one swift blow to the neck, all like Prrow prrow prrow!" he said as he rolled around with added sound affects, gently pawing at her chin and chest.
Once he was done telling his story, he rolled over to his belly, his look changing. A slight frown tugged at the corner of his lips. "Sides... I doubt muh family is gunna get any better. Mom stinks big time. She doesn't love us." he said as he stared hard at his paws. He had always tried to make himself believe he didn't care, but sometimes.....those few rare moments....he really did.

Mys'ketay laughed as Baji began to tell his story about bringing down a buffalo and playfully pawed at his belly when he rolled around. "Oh really now. Well I should have you show me how to hunt with that much skill." She said with a smile. When the young cub told her that his mother didn't love them she laid down and pulled him close. "I'm sorry." She said simply as she nuzzled him once more to show him that she was truely sorry, but that she also knew how it felt. Mys'ketay gently nipped at him in a playful manner in an attempt to make him happy once more. Slowly she stood up and let the cub go. "You should go home and talk to your mother. Maybe try to explain to her how you feel. Surely she loves you, just needs a little help showing it." Mys'ketay said with a smile as she walked off.

Baji felt proud of himself, his chest swelled up in pride as the lioness requested he show her how to hunt. "Well, iffin you wanna, I can show ya how ta hunt.... but you mightn not be as good as me!" he grinned and wiggle his tail. Suddenly he was pulled into a puzzle and he giggled, his pink cheeks becoming even more pink. While he loved the attention, he had an appearance to keep up! "'Ey, not so close!" he squeaked and pawed playfully at her face. His nose wrinkled and his brows furrowed at what she suggested. Talk to his mom? That was a lost cause indeed. She wouldn't listen, and no one knew that better than Baji and his siblings. He could talk to Poi though.... Poi would listen, that was for sure. With a shrug, he watched as the lioness trotted off, licked down a few stray chest furs, and strutted on back to his family. He had a story to tell them about how he tamed a huge lioness, made her do what he wanted, and even taught her how to hunt.
