The night hadn't been going well. She'd had to compete with cops for the defeat of more than one youma. Well, for four of them, just that night; on the one hand, it was a pain in the a**. It didn't seem like they were to "Take Her Dead or Alive" status yet, for which she was pretty grateful, but they had to be on the way to it. She hadn't torched a building since that night out with Ares, at least, but people were on extra alert since now, apparently, she was evil.

Well, okay. She could take that. If she could dish it, she had to be able to take it.

Now, though, she was wandering through a rather populated street--it was so late at night it was deserted, but she could see people inside the houses bustling about. Late in the holidays, there were parties almost every night, and who knew when they let up.

She sighed, dropping from rooftop to the street level. It was entirely too quiet for all those parties... there wasn't even thudding bass.

Bingo... He'd last seen her particular outfit when they fought the ice queen and her irritating little minions, at least he hadn't seen her with a crystal, that made this a bit safer to try out. had it been another night. He slipped out onto the street where she could see him, already plotting out where he would be running to, where he could avoid any open flames, cigarettes might be a risk but he just had to make it to his goal, his little stash where he could find an unlocked door and his ultimate intent for his second meeting with Sailor Gunn.

"Well well well... if it isn't the arsonist." He said casually by way of greeting, already tense to start running should need be. After all she didn't have pockets that he KNEW of but that didn't mean she wasn't prepared.

At the voice, she turned on her heel to face the speaker. It was the short little Negaverser from the fight against that ice queen; Gunn recognized him by the face mask. At the time, she'd been pretty envious. It had felt like her nose was about to fall off her face during that fight. Now, though, the wintry chill was letting up a bit before they headed into the city's truest winter, and that momentary truce was over.

"Says the murderer," Gunn snapped, running a hand over her hair to ensure it was all out of her face. Then she leapt forward, towards the blue-haired boy, clearly intending to tackle him to the ground when she got close enough to do it.

No need--or time--to converse. The cops seemed to have a preternatural sense for where she was at this juncture, and she wanted this Negaverse scum dead before they got here. It was well within her abilities, especially with a matchbook tucked into her bolero.

He lunged to one side, a near miss but he wasted no time in adding to the distance between them. "Now now... I realize you have the psychology of a stalker, but I'm really not into hero worship my little want-to-be. Am I topping the list for your Serial Killer training? Or was the building a dry run..." It was a guess... but how many senshi could make fire as had happened, the question had already run rampant through the negaverse, no, they hadn't done it...no surprise really that the senshi were desperate enough to attempt 'slander' when they themselves were such a disorganized, hopeless lot.
He flicked a smoke pellet at her, letting it crack off the pavement and belch out its thick smoke, which smelled vaguely sulfurous and generally awful, though beyond that all it seemed to do was conceal, not that there were many places for him to go.

"Are you coming Brer Fox?" He taunted and picked up his own pace towards his intended destination. "Or would you like to add to your casualty list early?"

How the hell did he know?! Jesus ********, everyone who knew about senshi knew she couldn't actually be a Negaverser, but no one was supposed to realize it was her.

Which, in retrospect, was stupid. Had she ever met an actual fire-using senshi? Besides herself. Of course anyone who knew of her powers would know it was her. The point was, she hadn't expected to be confronted over it. Now she was. It threw her off, enough that she actually stopped moving when the smoke pellet went off. The smell spurred her on even faster, towards the voice.

She could, at the edges of her consciousness, hear someone yelling about a fight in the street. There was no time to look. She had a Negaverser to kill, or at least maim a little bit. Burns were wickedly horrible to deal with; she knew that from personal experience. She hoped to show the blue-haired midget herself.

The stutter and stop in her steps brought a mad cheshire grin to his face, his eyes blazed bright and he had to laugh. She might as well have confessed to it the way she reacted, someone who hadn't would have just shouted a rebuttal or ignored it.
He knew very well the pain of burns, he'd suffered one all too recently from a certain feline and was in no hurry to repeat that.

He was tempted while she was lost in the smoke to use his crimson crystal, but he resisted the urge leaving it safely hidden. They had already shared a secret, hers, there was no reason at all for him to share his own.

His boots skidded slightly on the cold pavement as he rounded a corner, teleportation was a temptation so long as he stayed in view but that might tip her off that he was leading her to a specific destination.

Gunn was already suspicious--she wasn't all that great, tactically, but she knew enough to know when she was being played. This was a Captain. She knew as much from seeing him interact with others at the fight against Kaguya. If he wanted to get away, he could just teleport. So there was a reason he was continuing on foot--a reason she was determined to learn.

Although... learning the reason was, as fun as it could be, actually not paramount. She'd much rather just be standing over this captain's smoldering corpse.

But oh well. Time enough for both things. And she was catching up, anyway.

He found the key fast enough, opened the door and slipped inside blessing that he'd already tested it for electronic alarms Clearly they thought locks and fire alarms were enough. He left the door ajar behind him and freed his 'goal' from where it hung in easy reach. A quick double check of the pressure gauge and age confirmed that at least they had followed through on their duties to keep it up to par 'in case of emergency.'
He now gave a casual pivot, holding it behind him and loosing the hose, ready to use and leaned almost casually against the wall.

Ha! Gunn knew this place, knew it was a dead end, and she was going to set him on fire--

The sight of the fire extinguisher brought her to an abrupt halt in the doorway. "You would not," she said, staring at it. Nothing was even on fire. What would the point of using the fire extinguisher even be? ... A smart senshi, thought Gunn, would back off at this point. Before getting blinded and maybe immobilized by a fire extinguisher--which, she thought, was a dumb thing for her not to know. Maybe she should look into fire suppression systems.

Also, her passage through the city hadn't gone unnoticed. She could hear sirens in the distance. The pressure was on, and Gunn had exactly one action she executed when she was under pressure. She pulled the pack of matches from under her bolero and struck them, quickly--threw them and incanted her attack, faster. But was it fast enough to beat the fire extinguisher?

Probably not. It was still worth a shot.

"Oh yes... yes I would..." He flashed a grin...and, like it was choreographed, as she yanked in her fuku, fast but not QUITE fast enough the foamy white deluge erupted towards her along with a yell of "HELP!!! HELP!!! ARSONIST SENSHI!!!!"
Was yelled at the top of his lungs, he doubted very much that there were many if ANY close enough to hear that but all the same... it was, oh what was the word.

Fun?

He came so close though, the hairs on the back of his neck prickled. If she hadn't stopped for that second to stare, to speak it might have been a whole different story involving teleporting and quite likely skin grafts.

The experience of being blasted by a fire extinguisher was not as uncomfortable as she would have suspected. It hurt, yes, and it tasted horrible--like having a mouthful of unleavened bread, but slimier--but it didn't burn. It was just wet. And, she observed as she lunged out of its range, away from the stupid little pipsqueak--and when she wasn't moving, it looked very...

Suggestive.

Gunn shrieked, rage in the tone--rage and frustration and ugh, look at her, she looked disgusting--and then pointed at him. So what if she looked ridiculous! "I will get you," she said. And she meant it. Not that day, but another day, she'd stomp that stupid little brat into the dust. No. It wouldn't even be dust. It'd be mud.

That said, she turned around and fled. The matches in her hand were ruined, and who knew if that fire extinguisher still had more juice.

He let out a soft chuckle. No doubt he would run afoul of her again one day, but now he knew... he'd find other ways to help defend himself, and he'd do his damnedest to make sure every Nega out there knew this little 'solution' to the problem.

Damn shame he hadn't had a camera though, foam covered senshi might have made for a beautiful illustration to her file.
