★ 4300 stones (3/5) slaves ✗ [Introduction];× × × × × × × × × × × × × × × ×
Tihrak has just been kicked out of his parents' home and he is now trying to live on his own. He has many hobbies but no serious occupation (much to his family's displeasure) which was probably the cause of his sudden departure. He lives in Babylon but he often goes back to Giza to visit his parents and paint.

✗ [Personality];× × × × × × × × × × × × × × × × Tihrak is a friendly and polite Hound. Not overly open unless he is amongst good friends or family, he has a soft spot for the fairer sex and will not hesitate to play the gentleman role should the occasion present itself. He is firm with his slaves but never cruel. Even though he is not against strict disciplining of a misbehaving slave (much like his mother), he is certainly softer on them and can sometimes even be reasoned with when the slave is polite and has a reasonable request – his father always did have a soft spot for the little felines that he always tried to keep hidden but, naturally, was quite clear to all that lived the old family house. Tihrak is rather possessive of his slaves and does not take kindly to Hounds who try to use or “play” with them… unless you’re a (very) pretty lady, it would be wise to avoid addressing them really.
Tihrak is not above using other Hounds’ weaknesses to his advantage (including his own family’s) but he’s usually a reliable and honest fellow… usually. He can be tricked into paying more for a service/object than its true worth. Tihrak doesn't understand the value of money, often delegating most stone matters to his slaves and wasting spending stones on a lavish lifestyle that he can't possibly afford for too long.

✗ [History];× × × × × × × × × × × × × × × × Tihrak has never really faced any extraordinary adversities. He is the only child of an average upper middle class couple and has always led a very comfortable lifestyle. He has gone through the unavoidable death of elderly relatives and has known pain and loss in the past. However, he hasn’t gone through any traumatic emotional predicament or done anything worth mentioning ever since his return from school. He had been leeching off his parents for quite some time without showing any desire to change his ways and so his parents (more accurately, his mother) decided to kick him out of the nest so he could finally learn how to stand on his own paws. Honestly, he’s not too bothered (it’s not as if his parents have deserted him). He knows he can count on them should any serious trouble arise and he has enough funds to live on his for a good while. And, of course, should he hit a little snag, Tihrak knows he can always get a sweet-looking slave to soften his father before he goes asking for a few stones. ✗ [Acquaintances];× × × × × × × × × × × × × × × ×None yet.✗ [Badges];× × × × × × × × × × × × × × × ×

[BUSINESS PERMIT GOES HERE] ✗ [The Business];× × × × × × × × × × × × × × × ×Tihrak offers 3 services to his customers. You can try (and should) haggle because you'll probably manage to get a discount - especially if you're a girl. *cough* ✗Service 1: Landscape Painting× × × × × × × × × × × × × Price: 150 stones Tihrak has a few random landcape paintings around for customers to choose from. If you don't like the available stock, he will take requests (a particular Giza landmark, a family house, etc). ✗Service 1: Portrait× × × × × × × × × × × × × Price: 250 stones Tihrak sits down and paints a customer's portrait so customers must stay still and wait for him to finish. If a customer loves a slave dearly, Tihrak might add the feline to the portrait or make a painting of the cat alone. ✗Service 3: Mural× × × × × × × × × × × × × Price: 500 stones Tihrak will go to the Hound's house and paint the desired mural.
All services share the same requirements and benefits: Requirements: For all services, guests must complete a small roleplay (minimum 5 posts in this thread) describing why they came to Tihrak's house, who they came with, where they came from and what type of service they are looking for. They should also use at least one post to show the outcome of the visit. Benefits: Guests may generate a number from 1-10 to add to their Charisma
Guests: Please record your stay here in this house as well as in your journal!

Slaves' post
(Temporary - for future slaves' owners)
IC - The slaves sleep inside in a small separate room that has food and water as well as some blankets and a small table. - Punishments are rarely physical unless the offense is considered very serious. Not eating for a day, sleeping in the cold outside or being chained in a confined space for a long time would be more common but Tihrak is a bit reluctant to deal out punishment. - Tihrak is proud of his slaves and will often parade them around town. - Tihrak might want to breed his kitties for some profit (he probably wouldn’t be able to actually sell them though… much less put them on the market)
OC - You can rp your slave inside and outside the house. Feel free to have him running errands for Tihrak if you want to rp with people in the same city. - Depending on your task your cat might also be allowed to run errands in other cities. Eg, Personal servants will be with Tihrak most of the time as will house servants. - Tihrak visits his parents in Giza quite often so you can rp a bit there as well as long as your cat doesn’t stray too far from the house (don’t push it though)
Things I want in particular – let me know if you’re interested!
- One cat to be very ill right after purchase so that Tihrak has to pay a visit to a clinic - One cat to push his buttons (not in front of strangers, Tihrak would not keep a cat that would make him look bad) - One cat to be his unspoken favorite: most likely a mellow female that he will use to soften up dear old dad before asking for money (“I don’t even have enough stones to buy treats for them…”; Slave: *sad kitty eyes*) - One super clumsy cat that he likes more than he would admit (probably reminds him of himself as a pup) - One clever little kitty that makes him reconsider the notion that slaves have very inferior intelligences >>> Ife?
The slaves come without badges and with low stats so I don’t expect them any of them to excel at their task but Tihrak will need some different classes. These are the ones that one might find in his home (I’ll take input from the owners but ultimately I’ll choose who gets what based on looks, gender and personality):
House Servant: Cleaning, cooking, etc… Takes care of the house. Not meant to be seen while working. *may be taught how to read and write* Market Slave: Finding the best items at the market. Must coordinate well with the House Servant and Ground Keeper. If smart, this slave will be taught how to read and will be asked to go around buying items for re-selling in another city/market area (to make a profit). If there isn’t one, these duties will pass on to the House Servant. Personal Servant: Spends more time with the master and coordinates the other slaves when Tihrak can’t be bothered to do it himself. *will be taught how to read and write* Warrior: protector of the home and bodyguard when Tihrak is carrying a heavier pouch. His duties are simple: train to become stronger and be loyal to a fault. *male only* Artist: Tihrak would love to entertain his guests properly with a singing slave or something of the sort. *preferably female* Ground Keeper: Tihrak is vain and not against spending a few stones to keep his home looking impeccable inside and out. The ground keeper will make sure the ground and walls are clean as well as maintain (probably not too well as he won’t have a badge) a flower patch or something like that.
