My profile has him. If you can't see my profile lemme know, I'll try to figure out how to make it public(even though I don't remember how to) and if this is in the wrong spot, put it where it should be.
I have:
First Suite in E Flat(i played alto sax on this)
Second Suite in F(tuba)
The Planets Suite(havn't played this yet)

Mmm. The Planets is muy muy sexyy. Lol. <3

We did Mars last year, and plan to do the entire suite this year.
Superrr duper excited.
Plus the flute solo bits are amazing.
Holst had a thing for flutes -- so, of course, he's one of my fave composers.
Besides that all his stuff is unbelievably epic.

I love Holst! My favorite is second suite in F, which i played secodn clarient on last year.

The planets is also amazing. I've played Mars and Jupiter, but mars was watered down for a middle school symphonic band.

Holst was one of the first composers I ever got really obsessed with. Jupiter and First Suite in E flat are my two personal favorites! biggrin

We've been playing mars and I gotta say, the trombone part sure is awesome.

We played First Suite in Eb for wind ensemble and three movements from The Planets Suite in concert band last year.

My favourite was Jupiter from The Planets Suite. heart

Holst is pretty awesome. :3

I've played Moorside Suite, First Suite in Eb, Second Suite in F, and crappy arrangements of Mars.

I freaking love Jupiter. heart

We played First Suite In Eb last night at our holiday concert, movements 1 and 3. I play tenor, so it was disappointing to cut out movement 2 (the one with a solo, and my favorite). I love the run in movement 1. But in 3, it was difficult to master at such a tempo.

What's better is that on the way over, that very composition played on the local classical station.

We play parts of Jupiter from The Planets during graduation band in the late spring.

I am suddenly very excited. We just happen to be playing Mars for the spring concert! The original Holst version, which is the one we are playing, is definately better na dmore challenging then the watered down version i played in middle school. And theres a clarient solo part ^-^
