I checked to see if this thread was already made so if I am repeating one of two things. Its either not within the first three pages, or I did a half-assed job at checkling.

You're well aware by being in this guild you are enforcing a double standard right? get this. To the world it is sociably acceptable to be proud of your race if you are a minority only. It is politicly correct for you all to have Black Pride guilds, Asian Pride Guilds, Latino Pride Guilds, Indian pride guilds and what not.
However, no one knows my race unless I tell them. Within this guild I have stated that I'm Latino/White.
Now, If I were to start a guild, and name it 'White Pride Guild' That s**t would be deemed racist, I would be labeled a biggot, and that guild would be shut down faster than Micheal Jackson could undress a five year-old. Just like this guild isn't a racist guild, the other one wouldn;t be. However the words "White" and "Pride" would make it, in the eyes of society racist. never mind the fact that it could be open to all races like this one.
Now, Discuss:
-Am I wrong in what I said?
-Does having a guild named [Insert Race here] help fuel or prevent the ignorance in which the world lives in when it comes to race?
-Are you proud to be the race you are, and why?
-Are you a ninja, and would you like a cookie?

[Hm...this is interesting. If only I had time for one of my long-winded responses. Right now I'll just have to say a few things; I'll return later to post my "real" opinion.
(BTW, let it be known I've been a little bothered by the guild title since I joined. See journal for my complaint from back then. talk2hand )
The reason I didn't like the title "Black Pride Guild" is because I didn't like what that insinuates: that in order to be a member you have to be black and proud of it. That excludes a lot of users who might have otherwise joined for the conversation and games, etc.
Damn.
This thought will have to be cut off for now. I have to go. xp ]

[I guess I've kind of lost my enthusiasm...I don't have a really long drawn-out opinion now. xp But anyway, on the subject of a "white pride guild," it's a topic that's been complained about and argued over by white and non-white users alike on Gaia for a long time. Then the "And how come white people aren't 'allowed' to say '*****'?" rant usually is contained somewhere in the pages of the topic. rolleyes
A white pride guild wouldn't bother me. And I think if most black and non-white Gaian's would take a second and open up their minds, it wouldn't bother them either. Just like Nazi guilds and "nazi" groups (grammar-nazis, etc) tend not to bother too many seasoned Gaians. wink ]

I used to be a member of the Gaia Nazi Guild. 3nodding Then they changed captains and the guild went down hill. Now I'm in the Adolf Hitler Guild, but thats another story.
I see a lot of voting but like no one post thier opinion. I think they may be scared. It also looks like I'm killing tow adorable little puppies.

Its thier word. 3nodding it's a word with definite racist origins and meanings it really shouldn't be used by anyone, even though I'll admit it pops up now and again in my vocab when I'm angry.

[I'm sure he'll have a reason of his own, but: If you really think about it, Hitler wasn't just infamous for over-seeing the killing Jews and hating minorities (or whatever the case was). He was also seen by many historians as a great leader. Afterall, not just any John Doe could influence a country like he did. wink ]

I get so tired of hearing people trying to argue about what people are and aren't "allowed" to say. Mommy and Daddy and your third grade teacher may tell you you can't, but America's Constitution says you can. It doesn't have much to do with "who invented it" or "who started it." neutral ]

I think Minoritys have a right and reason to have gatherings to be proud of our race. blacks, mexicans, philipeno, whatever. as long as your proud, and your the minorit why not make a gathering for it. whites on the other hand, I don't see why they should have a place to meet and discuss. hell just about everywhere you go its about the white persons opinion. but does it give the right to a double standard, no. They should still be able to meet up and have non rasist meetings just as the minoritys do. i think your right for what you speek of
Double standards are funny. My personal favorite is the one where a guy can have sex with about 20 different girls and be cool. while if a girl does even 1/3 of that number shes a slut, i mean... im not promoting sexual promisquity. why even it be acceptable for guys to have sex with anyone? sorry...just got off topic.

It was twisted and turned and eventually became racist.

I'm trying not to be offended by ignorance of that post... From that comment right there I'm just going to assume you're an American (Feel free to correct me on that if I am wrong.) Contrary to what public school pound into your head from day one The National Socalist aren't racist and Hitler didn't attempt to exterminate the Jews. National Socalism (lets not use the phrase Nazi anymore because I get angered.) is based upon two things. Can you guess them? The first is Nationalism which is pride in ones country and extreme support in one country. If you were a Nationalist (and American.) You would belive that your government should focus on helping better your own country (Which would be America) before they even look or think about helping any other countries. The second is Socalism. Which I'm sure you know all about because its taught in just about every high school. The only think that could be considered racist about it is the Nationalism. Some extremist go so far as to not want to allow foreigners into our country. (In our case that would be Cubans, Canadians and Mexicans. You get it? I can try to explain better if need be. Also I am only half mexican thank you very much. I am proud of my mothers family and my mexican heritage. However I am also proud of my fathers family and of my white heritage. (Ironicly both of them are in fact racist. It was a one night thing. I love the effects tweak can have on people.) Finally, Hitler was prejudice against the Jews no doubt. However he did not order thier extermination nor did he over see it. he meerly condemed it. The extermination of the Jews was ordered by Hitlers second in command General Heinrich Himmler, and his Soubourdanate and Sicherheitsdienst (SD) and Gestapo leader Reinhard Heydrich. At the time they ordered it Hitler turned a blind eye to it and instead focused his attention on the war. Leaving Himmler to run Germany. Its hard to find, but it is out there. Look around and you can see official documents from germany in the 1940s proving this. Hitler was not a good leader, but a great one. He promised to restore the land germany lost after thefirst world war, he promised to give jobs back to the German people, and he promised to restore the economy and the pride the people once had in thier country. he accomplised all of the above. I feel like I'm now trying to justify my beliefs to you, which is something my pride prevents me from doing as I do not have to justify s**t to you. So I am ending this entry in 3...2...1... NOW!
