The Mind Reader  The Lanid family curse had been passed down quietly from their grandmother for generations and suddenly appeared in their daughter, Ali Lanid, over one hundred years later. Back then it was a sing something was coming, something dangerous. Something only she could stop.
The new girl on the block may only be 14, but she can tell you who you are, what you're destined to be, and what you're thinking. No one dares to get near her, but only because she's different. Anything different in the country of Malise is danger to them. Only one person knows why and he lives right next door to her, but doesn't know he's the one to know yet.
One day, a boy living right next door to the new girl wanted to go say hello, since no one would talk to her. Everyone said she's different. Brown hair and eyes. Considering everybody was blond with blue eyes, even her parents, this was good for him. He's always wanted different than anything he's seen before. Hopefully he'll get to know her. Maybe he could be a friend to this girl. Maybe he could help whatever seemed so wrong. Maybe.

A n d t h e s k i e s n e v e r s o b l u e Ali woke up sad and already knowing how bad of a day it would be. Slowly stepping out of bed, she closes her curtains and gets dressed in whatever clothes she got out from her closet. Nothing could change who she was. Brow hair, brown eyes. Different already, but that wasn't enough, no. She also had to read others minds. Opening her curtains again, she smiled. It was raining outside. A perfect day to be perfectly her. Dashing away, she grabbed her notebook, pen, and shoes. As she passed her mom when she went out the front door, she said, "I'll be outside in the lawn under the tree, mum. I'll see you lata" she said in her crisp English accent. She still had no idea where it came from.

A Boy who Changes Fate.
Working on his car, a 1967 Ford Fairline GT . Turning bolts and a changing out the headers, out side the garage of his parents home. With the hood open, like any young gear head with his face black and his hands dark like the night. With the radio blasting a song from the anime Macross 7 from his Ipod Docked radio. He was too "Busy" to sometimes notice changes in his neighborhood. While Hiro's aunt Izuna from toyko was visiting , with her coming out from the bottom of the car. With the sun shining on her dyed pink hair and just as greased up , coming up to the hood to where he was working. Giving him instruction on what on how of changing parts out on the classic car.

A n d t h e s k i e s n e v e r s o b l u e Ali sat down under the old oak tree in their front yard and opened her journal she had hope would someday be published. Even though she knew it would never happen. The reason she was doing this was to mostly tell her children and grandchildren about the adventured she had and the troubles. Being different is never easy. Sadly, she kept writing and she somehow got lost in somebody's head. It was a small little girl from across the street. She's scared. Scared of her parents fighting so much. Scared of them divorcing. A vase crashed to the ground and the little girl knew what it was. Emily, her name was Emily and she knew what was happening. Running out of the house, the girl hid in a bush, crying and crying. Nothing could stop their fighting. It was almost impossible.
Ali came back and took in a deep breath. "I've gotta to stop doin' that" she thought of the little girl again and frowned. That wasn't her business, though. She looked down at the paper and gasped. It wasn't her handwriting, but she knew who had wrote it. Danger was coming. She had three days to save the world. Great.

His aunt got a Headache when she saw the little girl running out of the house, she could hear the parents from when she was. With her eyebrow raised, she went to take care of it Her way. Stomping her way over there, butting in with her rowdy and demanding self . Driving the parents down to their knees....
Hiro just watched his aunt, he was much the same. It runs throughout the family , it was a mostly dominant trait. But, his eyes spotted a girl on the tree. Taking a rag, cleaning himself of some of dang grease. He went over to make his moves, it was probably his fate to meet her. Hiro didn't know, nor cared. All he knew she was cute , and he liked cute girls... " HEY!, What ya' Doing up there Girl!?"

She seriously thought no one in this world would ever speak to her other than her parents. Maybe not. She closed her notebook slowly and made small little movements backing up on the tree trunk. Maybe she was in trouble. Thinking for a moment, she shook her head. She never did anything outside her house other than read and write. Looking up, she studied the boy. Blond hair, blue eyes. Just like everybody else. He was...different though. Not afraid, tough, and he thought she was cute. Dammit, she thought, I didn't mean to get into his mind. Shaking her head, she stayed where she was and looked down on him. "Why do you want to know?"

Why, maybe she would go on a date with me. But, thats what I fail at. Well, best to try. Its not like the story of my Uncle Kaito and Auntie Izuna.... "Well, Sorry if I was bothering you. Miss, if were writing a story I would love to read it. Or if its your journal, never mind. Anyway, I haven't seen your face around here. Ya' New? " As he climbed the tree like a mountain climber. To greet her, not to scare her. He looked like a boy who just into a mud fight from working on his car. No, she wasn't in trouble all he wanted to do was to make friends with her. " Welcome to the neighborhood. Im pretty sure you'll love it here! Name is Hiro , Hiro Ikumara! ". Holding his hand toward her.

A n d t h e s k i e s n e v e r s o b l u e "Ali Lanid" Ali said softly as she cautiously reached out her hand towards his. "I am...sort of new" she whispered, moving her journal slowly behind her. This boy wasn't like the other one's around. They would have left her alone or looked at her as if they feared her. This one, though, this one wasn't afraid. But he still scared her just as much as she scared herself. "Why are you being so nice to me?" this confused her a lot, too. Why would someone like him even look at her, speak to her, think she was...cute? She pulled back her hand and just sat in the tree, confused and scared.
