Blind Michael does what every parent fears
He steals the children for riders and hounds
And, one changed, nothing can bring them back down
To the world of mortals.
The faerie children become his riders, and an unlucky one his bride
The human children become the hounds for them to ride
And once every one hundred years, after drinking and feasting
they go on the legendary hunt of Blind Michael
And is then that their sensation is wonderful
And they have become truly immortal.
Blind Michael has claimed you. You live in his palace--whether as his treasured Rider, or a Hound in the stables. You will change. Faerie children chosen to be his Riders will become less human-looking and more ethereal. Human children, chosen to be his Hounds, will become horses.
Only one person can save you, and that is yourself. You can band together and attempt to save yourselves, or you can resign yourself to a hellish immortal life.
Oh, you enjoy it, after all. Blind Michael is magical. He makes you love him and worship the ground he walks. He makes the females long to be his chosen bride. But he will only choose until just before the hunt, so you have a hundred years before his wife is chosen.
There are those who will help you--other faerie children. The mortal children have almost no hope. They can only pray to not remember their human lives. They can only pray to have no memories when they change.
You are already changing. It is time to decide who you are, and who far you are willing to go to escape his labyrinth of immortality.
You must ask yourself: how many miles to Babylon? How many miles to freedom?
