RP between Kireiryuu and Summer Rain 07

(Summer) The pink lion snuck along in the sand, inching closer and closer to the small red crab that scuttled along the waves. His purple eyes were fixed on the small shell fish. When he was finally close enough, he jumped and up, and pounced on the crab, sending water flying in every directions when his paws hit. "Hehe, gotcha." He opened up his paws to nothing. He looked over to see the crab quickly scuttling into the waves. Kota growled and he hit the water in frustration

(Kire) It had been many, many days since the last attempt of her sister to trick her. And that made Aphrodite very weary when she was anywhere remotely close to the shoreline, like she was now. Her eyes darted here and there, on the look-out for her evil older sister who loved to pick on her!
While she seemed to be out of the clear, she couldn't let her guard down so easily...especially with the water so close, or at least, way too close for her taste. She was so scared of the water, way more than she should be.

(Summer) Kota turned around and started to huff off. when he noticed Aphrodite. To help lighten his mood he walked over to her and smiled, "Hey Aphrodite" he said as he bounded up to her. It had been a while since he had seen her, and he quickly forgot about the crab. "What are you doing?"

(Kire) Ears perked up as she looked up at the call of her name. Relief washed over her as she saw it wasn't her sister. Oh thank the heavens for that! She didn't want to deal with her sister at the moment.

Her tail flicked slightly as she greeted her new friend, "Hi Kota!" She paused to look around before she replied to his question, "I'm hiding from my sister."

(Summer) He blinked, "Hiding from her?" He asked as he shook some of the water off of his coat, "How come?" He sat down infront of her. He wasn't very close with his sister, he didn't know why she would want to hide from her.

(Kire) As he came over and shook the water from him, she flinched slightly away from the water that came from him. She didn't want to be near the water at all. Her lip quivered slightly as her ears drooped, "It's because she picks on me! Just last week she tricked me into the water, knowing I'm scared of it, and then laughed afterwards as if it's some nice joke." It wasn't, she could of had a huge panic attack, and that's no laughing matter.

Her eyes gazed to the ground as her paw shifted slightly in the sand, "She likes to make fun of me because I don't swim."

(Summer) He tilted his head, he remembered her saying that she was afraid of the water before. But he still couldn't believe it. How could she be afraid of the water? It was like being afraid of air. The concept didn't register in his brain. "That's mean." He said, furrowing his brow, "Taking advantage of someone else's fears." He smiled, "You should get her back!"

(Kire) Her eyes widen as she shook her head, "No, I wouldn't want to do that...she'll probably try to throw me into the ocean or something. And...I don't think I could do anything mean to her." She really didn't, while her sister might be more "playful", she wasn't of the same spirit and rather enjoyed peaceful encounters.

"She doesn't listen to me, so I'm hiding from her." Her eyes darted back and forth before settling back to Kota, "You can't miss her, she's all red with black fur."

(Summer) "Maybe I'll try to get her for you?" He laughed as he lie down and started to roll in the sand. "Howcome your afraid of the water anyway?" He looked from her to the beach, "What's wrong with it?

(Kire) Maybe that'd work, if Kota could help her out that'd be great, "That'd be cool, Kota!" She nodded her head shyly.

And then her eyes widen in fear as she tried to think of a reason why she was afraid of the water. The biggest one she used was that it'd steal her pretty pink fur, and she loved her pink fur a whole lot. But that was just an excuse. "I....I don't know. I've never liked the water since I was a cub. It's always been really scary to me."

(Summer) He smiled widely, as he rolled in the sand. He got up and looked over to her, shaking the sand out of his fur. He couldn't help but laugh. "You don't like water, and you live in a pride on the beach?" He rubbed his nose lighly, "Seems like you were born in the wrong family." He laughed lightly at the irony of her problem

(Kire) She sighed loudly, "I know! Tell me about it! I hear it all the time from my parents...why could we be in my mom's pride in the desert where there's no water and I don't have to worry about it."

She looked at him, "You like the water though, and it doesn't scare you. Why do you like the water?"

(Summer) He looked from her to the water. He never really thought of it. He tilted his head to the side. "I don't know." He closed his eyes and let a soft breeze run through his fur. "I guess cause it's calming." He opened his eyes and looked back to her. "Whenever I feel mad, or sad, I just come out here, and my problems seem to wash away with the waves." He smiled lightly, "That and I like how it feels on my fur." He laughed lightly, "When I swim underwater, it sometimes feels like I can fly."

(Kire) Her eyes widen, "You go under the water?! Aren't you scared you won't be able to come back to the shore?" The idea was so far-fetched she had never even fathomed doing such a thing.

Flying....now that was a new one, she couldn't say she knew what he was saying. But regardless, she listened curiously. "I've never heard anyone talk about water like that before. That is different, Kota. I guess it's like your special spot."

(Summer) He shook his head, "No, I used to when I was little, but I wouldn't go too far from the shore until I felt comfortable going farther out.
He laughed lightly, "You could say that." He said as he looked back out to the water, "My mother thinks I'm a little obsessed with it. Dad jokes that my mom is the goddess of the water."

(Kire) "Well, that'd be neat!" She nodded her head.

"Ah ok, I guess that makes sense. But still! It's just so scary!" She paused at a thought, "Did your dad teach you how to swim?"

(Summer) He nodded, "Yeah, we kinda taught each other." He said as he looked over to her, "He told me he grew up in the swamps, and the water would only come up to his elbows, so he taught me as he was teaching himself." He smiled, "What about you? Have your parents tried to teach you?"

(Kire) She nodded, "Yea my parents have tried teaching me, but I've only been over to the water twice....minus the time with my sister."

She looked at the water, "I haven't tried it since then though, it's just so scary!"

(Summer) He smiled, "Its not scary, see?" He said as he walked over to the water and lie down in the surf, letting the small waves roll over his fur, "See? He said, wagging his tail lightly.

(Kire) She watched him carefully, keeping her eyes on him. As he went to the water and laid down in the surf, she couldn't help but feel her breath hitch a notch slightly. Oh no, she couldn't watch if something bad happened to her new friend!

And then his voice caught her attention as she watched how happy he was. It made her so fearful, but at the same time, a seed of curiosity bloomed in her as she took a step towards where he was. Ears perked forward, uncertainty written all over her face, "You're so brave, Kota!"

(Summer) He laughed, "Brave? This? You should see how far my dad can go." He said as he sat up, water dripping off his pink fur, "He can go waay out there!" He said as he pointed out into the ocean.

"Hey! I have an idea!" He said as he stood up and ran towards her, "Come on, I know the perfect thing to help you with your fear!" He said as he ran off to an outcropping of rocks. He'd teach her the same way his dad taught him! You gotta walk before you can swim, right?

(Kire) She followed the motion of his paw as she gasped slightly, just like her parents. Her dad especially, was a powerfully strong swimmer.

And then at his voice, she looked back to him in a flash. An idea? Oh no, she didn't kno whether to be thrilled or terrified. On the bright side, she could be away from her teasing older sister and more time with her new friend! As he ran off, she went to follow him after her curiosity got the better of her. She wondered what he was up to as she trailed after him.
