Anni sat not too far from where her family usually slept, admiring the work Tsiya had done on her. They were rather pretty from what she could see, but he had also done some things that would require her looking into a pool of water to really see. He said he would do a little bit more, but not too much. She was really enjoying this pridelife. It was much more interesting than traveling with just her family.

She smiled when she thought of tattoos. Tsiya had one that reminded her of something, she just couldn't put her paw on it.

Chrodechild:
Chrodechild had yet to merge fully with the pride. Their ways were so quiet, so peaceful, and so uneventful that it was a difficult adjustment for her. The months of traveling, the scuffles with her siblings and the training she got from her parents lingered in her mind. One of their brothers had opted not to join them in the new lands, and while at the time she hadn't commented on his decision, it had troubled Chrode. They were old enough to live their own lives, but she'd not desert her family.

The tatoos were supposed to be meaningful... but just what she wanted to paint on her golden pelt was beyond her. Other than travel, they'd not yet done anything of note. She'd been given the role of huntress- that, at least, was something.

The golden lioness laid out in the sun, her head resting on the back of her paws as she enjoyed the warmth across her back, eyes half-lidded.

Añuli:
Anni looked around to see if any of her family was near, she was eager to show someone. Her eyes caught the golden pelt of her sister, though she wasn't sure. Maybe Chrode was sleeping... She didn't want to wake her sister, but she stood anyways and walked over.
She stopped some steps away and leaned down a bit, her ears back.

"Are you sleeping Chrode?" she whispered as softly as she could, loud enough for her to hear, but soft enough that she hoped not to wake her if she was. She knew it was a stupid question, but she was in something of a stupid mood.

Chrodechild:
The lioness groaned and rolled over onto her side. One eye cracked open and slowly lifted to regard her fellow pride member. It was Anni- sporting pride paint and a few new items to complement them. She couldn't help but smile at the sight. They were strangely fitting. The whole pride was just perfect for Anni's gentle spirit.

"Well well, you're official."

Añuli:
Anni smiled when her sister did, though she had to wonder if she woke her sister.
"Yeah, more or less. Tsiya said he'd do more, but yeah. He's getting pretty good, don't you think?" she asked, smiling a bit more as she finally realized just where that marking Tsiya had tattooed on his face. She wondered why he'd had that done or done it himself, she wasn't sure if he was able to make those kind of tattoos himself. Maybe his sister had done them at his request.

Chrodechild:
"I think he is very talented, yes." She yawned and slowly pushed herself up to a sit. For all the world, Chrodechild acted like the lady of any given domain she passed through. Her fur was always well-groomed, her movements were smooth and calculated, and she spoke softly and eloquently as possible. A strange contrast to her bubbly mother and her choppy father.

"I think you've found yourself a nice nest here. Are you happy?"

Añuli:
Anni was a pretty sweet, respectful female, but she wasn't as formal as her sister. And her younger sister, no less! But that was just Chrode. And Anni loved her no matter how stuffy she could get sometimes.
"Maybe Tsiya could do tattoos for you, too. What do you think of that?" she asked, settling carefully down facing her sister, slowly so that she didn't mess up the tattoos.

"I'm rather happy, actually... I made a friend, from another clan. He's really nice and funny." She blushed a bit.

Chrodechild:
"I think I need to find meaning for some." She answered with a shrug. "From what I understand, the markings tell a story about you or represent specific aspects of your life and things of meaning to the individual who wears them. I've not found much to say about any of that. Not enough to mark my pelt."

She tipped her head to one side and lifted a thin brow. "Oh? A friend you say? Your whiskers are flaring."

Añuli:
Anni's eyes widened a fraction at Chrode's comment about her whiskers.
"If they are, it's because it's hot!" she snapped back. She shouldn't have snapped like that, and she dipped her head in apology.

"I'm sorry. I guess I'm just on edge. I did make a friend, but he can't come visit. One of Tsiya's brothers doesn't like him, at all." She made a face at that. Kohana needed to lighten up a bit. Well, a lot would certainly be good for him, but if just a little to allow Koda to come visit her, then that would be fine by Anni.

Chrodechild:
Chrod's eyes narrowed knowingly as her sister snapped defensively. If she didn't know before, she certainly knew now. It was far too obvious.

"Ooh....that....brown one." She glanced to the side, eyes narrowing as she picked her mind for the male's name. She'd only heard it once or twice in passing, and she'd never been great with names.

"Well then, I suppose we'll need to help you see him more. Won't we?"

Añuli:
"No, not really. I mean, it isn't hard to meet up with him on the borders." Anni answered before she could really stop herself. She pulled a wry face as she realized and slowly shook her head with a small sigh.

"I'm bad, aren't I?" she asked, turning that smile on her sister and setting her head on her folded paws. She guessed Rimi was right, at least a little bit. She did like Koda, and would admit that the first thing she wanted to do when anyone questioned her or how he acted was to defend him. Sure, he was odd, but not in a way that hurt anyone.

Chrodechild:
Chrodechild brought a paw up to her mouth and laughed lightly. Poor Anni.... she thought she was being some sort of rebel by slipping out to see this young male. It was only natural, she was a young adult. It was about time she started a family on her own.

"No you aren't bad. I think you may have a crush though." She straightened up and tipped her head.

Añuli:
Anni scrunched up her nose at her sister's laugh.

"I donno. I like him and he's a nice guy, a really good friend to have. It makes me mad that he has to worry about visiting his friends because he bothers just one clan member," she replied with a bit of a huff, looking up at her sister. She had to think about it, then. Did she have a crush? She did like Koda, but in that way? Tsiya was nice too, and so was Howi. But then, neither of them made her want to get up early so she could go visit with them or made her perk up with excitement when she saw them approaching.

But Koda was different in general. It was more than a little confusing.

Chrodechild:
"He sounds interesting." She admitted with a chuckle. The males of the ela were a little soft-pawed for her. Kohana was an exception but his name, sadly, slipped her mind. He also seemed....too up-tight. His life was devoted to his sister and his clan. In a way, she respected that. She loved her family, she'd do anything to keep them safe and cared for. At the same time, it was difficult to understand how one's entire being could go into one cause.

"Perhaps there's bad blood here that we are unaware of."

Añuli:
Anni's face turned uncertain.
"I donno. I talked to Tsiya, he didn't think there was anything wrong, other than that Kohana didn't like him, or how close his brother was to Eeva. Kohana's just stuffy, I think," she replied with a small shrug. Speaking of Tsiya...

"Speaking of Tsiya, I think he might like you," she added with a small, curious tilt of her head. Perfect ploy, get the topic off of her.

Chrodechild:
Chrode shrugged her shoulders. "There may be more to the story than what we're seeing. If Kohana's the oldest son here, he may have the role of a protector on his shoulders. It's hard to say..."

Her ears instantly flattened and her nose wrinkled up a bit. "...whatever put that into your head? I'm... I've not spoken to him."

Añuli:
Anni shrugged a bit too. Chrode was right, she was still something of an outsider and might not know everything that was going on. But she couldn't think of a thing Koda could have don't that would make him virtually banned from the Shadow Clan's lands in Kohana's mind. She'd have to look into it a bit more.

She frowned at her sister's reaction to her last statement. Not so much what she said, more the face she made.
"I don't know, it was just something of a hunch. What? Don't like the idea?" she asked, her look shifted into a questioning one.

Chrodechild:
Chrodichild had never had anyone like her. Not like that. She wasn't certain how to react to it. Love at first sight wasn't a concept she entertained in the least. How did someone ....like someone else at a glance?

"I...just don't...understand. He... likes me? We've not spoken. I've only seen him from a distance."

Añuli:
"Perhaps he finds you beautiful and has observed you about? Though, I really can't imagine how, you're so stuffy most of the time," Anni replied, ending with a grin. She didn't really mean it. She was mostly just teasing. Chrode was pretty stuffy, but maybe Tsiya liked that. He seemed a very calm, peaceful individual, for a young male. Maybe he found her exotic, she was, after all, rather different from his family and clan members, both in personality and appearance.

Plus, she knew how he cared about his clan and the special position he held within it. And the only way he could remain, if he wanted to have a family as well, was to take a mate from within the Shadow Clan. But then, he wasn't selfish enough to do that to a female. No, that would just be an added perk, if anything.

Chrodechild:
She tipped her head then gave a short shrug of her shoulders. She wasn't a bad looking individual, not in her opinion anyway...but not enough to send a male into admiration.

"Stuffy indeed." She chuckled. "I suppose I'm guilty as charged. I just don't believe one can fall into attraction simply upon sight."

Añuli:
"Didn't Mother always say she knew the first time she saw Father that it was going to be more than just a few adventures for them?" Anni asked, trying her best to mimic their mother's cheerful, low-and-yet-still-feminine voice. Anni had a much higher, almost airy voice in comparison to their mother's, but she still managed to pull off the impression well enough to convey the idea.

"You do want to have a family, too, someday, right?" Oh, that was probably prying a little too far, but the words were said. Even if she tried to take them back, the thought was still out there.

Chrodechild:
"That's likely because father is...." She made a face and rolled her head upwards. "....he's...different. Adventurous and he's not the type to just let a lady wander around by herself. I don't think they knew that they would end up together, starting a family and all that."

The second question earned a wince from her. She cleared her throat and pretended to pull something out of her paw. "...well one day yes. Perhaps. I can't imagine being a mother right now."

Añuli:
Anni actually considered her own words on the matter. Had she felt something like that when she'd first met Koda? Well, all she could recall was being amused. What with his story of dragons and whatnot. Oh, she believed him, but... Well, she really wanted to see one with her own eyes, to know that they really did exist and that he wasn't just telling fantastic stories to entertain. He'd certainly make a great father, putting cubs to sleep with his wondrous tales...

She mentally shook herself before her own imagination started conjuring up images to go along with that thought.
"Mother can certainly take care of herself. I think if she had wanted to leave Father, she could have ditched him..." Her ears flicked back and she frowned a bit.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that. I... don't think I'm really ready to be a mother just yet either..."
