Quote: A dangerously rocky path that stretches between the outer desserts of the Wind Country to the rocky mountains that is the Earth Country. The path has almost no flat grounds and is a constant up and down battle over the coarse land. There are several small towns located in the few pockets of space that the land provides, making the trip a difficult yet otherwise bearable journey. Like many of the great nations there exist lesser villages between their paths, in this case the Hidden Stone Village. A hard working people of this lesser village, specializing in sculpting and crafting. Although there is currently no official documentation of a Shinobi force, like many lesser villages they still make appearances at the exams from time to time, hinting that they still have some sort of Shinobi force.

Kyo began the journey for the Earth Country. With an ever slow slow pace Kyos feet treaded across the sandy earth that covered the country. A sandstorm was brewing and Kyo knew better than to try to run through a sandstorm. A person could easily get turned around and find themselves lost by doing such a thing. That was not something the masked ninja could not afford. Time was of the utmost importance and despite the slow pace it was worth not getting turned around. Using what little visibility was left Kyo made sure to take note of the suns position just in case the sandstorm somehow gained the advantage. As Kyo progressed forward the wind howled against the ninja in attempt to hinder that progression. Pausing for a moment a black colored sand emerged from the mouth opening in the steel mask that shielded the ninjas face. The black sand formed a wall in front of Kyo protecting the traveler from the force of the wind.
After a long while of walking the howling sandstorm finally died down. The black sand that had been shield Kyo retreated back into the mouth opening of the steel mask. Unlike most other countries the Wind Country bore no trees and thus very little ninja based transportations. Kyo thought for a while about known jutsu. The Exploding Clay was not yet perfected enough to be used as a carrier but the Iron Sand may just be able to do the trick. The black colored iron made sand reemerged from the mouth opening the cold steel mask. Clustering it together Kyo hopped on top of it. After getting a feel for the balance and stability the Sand Ninja urged the Iron Sand platform forward. After growing confidence in the technique Kyo manipulated the Iron Sands magnetic properties in order to repel it from certain magnetic charges of the earth at high rate sending the ninja flying forward. In fear of falling Kyo sunk the black ninja shoes that protected soft pale flesh into the Iron Sand cloud.
Even at this pace the trip to Earth would be a long one. Despite the fact the two countries shared a border somewhat both countries where extremely large as far as physical land went. Due to this it would be a while before Kyo even reached the border of the Wind Country let alone reach the Earth. Though why Kyo was heading to such an empty land was not quite clear to anyone. What was known was that itd take at least a whole day of non-stop moving. No sleep no rest and no breaks. Thinking for a moment long Kyo could not think of anyways to safely speed up the trip. Kyo thought about the Exploding Clay jutsu. The explosions could give her cloud of Iron Sand some needed extra momentum. At the same time it could turn it over and cause a crash. Wasting time and doing some unneeded damge to Kyos hidden body. Violet eyes gazing out towards the slowly setting sun with purple hair blowing in the wind Kyo spoke with a soft deep voice. "There must be a way." The Sand Ninja spoke of increasing travel speed. Surely there had to be a way but Kyo could think of none.
After a while of contemplating Kyo decided it was worth the risk. Extending out a hand a spider made of the Exploding Clay somehow emerged from the palm. One after another several others soon followed after the first and clung to the back end of the small transportation cloud. Bracing for the possible impact Kyo weaved the hand seal for the detonation. "Katsu." With signaling expression the Exploding Clay spiders went off. The force of the multiple explosions sent the small could of Iron Sand racing forward. Luckily thanks to its composition the Iron Sand platform didnt tumble. The risk was turning out to be worth it. The the force of the explosions had generated enough momentum to last for a good time. Knowing that the idea worked Kyo was prepared to repeated the process as many times as necessary. Time was of the essence. Speed was of the utmost importance. There was no room for error distractions or slowing down. Only doing as Kyos father had done and taught. Charging in head long with no second thoughts or regrets and never turning back. Whether the man knew it or not Kyo had taken the teachings and beliefs to heart.
The sun was just beginning to disappear behind the horizon when the Wind Countrys border finally came into view. Kyo had to hurry to the border by nightfall. Nights in the desert were just as unforgiving if not more so than their days. If Kyo could not at least make it to the border by then itd be dangerous. Kyo then began ot wonder if adding more explosives would increase travel speed even more so than before. If so it would be extremely helpful. But at the same time such a stunt could end in disaster as well. Extending both hands out this time a great deal of Exploding Clay C1 Spiders seemingly spawned into Kyos palms. Moving their way down they clung to the back end of the Iron Sand cloud. Some even stacked on top top of one another for room. Kyo braced for a possible impact yet again. As Kyo weaved the hand seal it became clear that chackra reserves were beginning to run low. Sustaining the only available form of transportation has slowly drained chackra and creating these spider was just taxing Kyo even more. The determined Sand Ninja was not deterred. "Katsu!" Kyo said with a bit more gusto than before. Such gusto was becoming required to pull out more chackra necessary for the plan. The numerous explosions sent the Iron Sand cluster careening forward almost out of control. Holding on steadfast Kyo managed to keep control of the transportation based jutsu.
Nightfall finally arrived and the border was not to far. Luckily the all covering robe provided Kyo with some protection from the frigid night air. Though it had only just dawned on Kyo as violet eyes glanced back. What had originally been believed to be a sea of sand had actually been anything but. There was nothing but rocks and canyons with almost no flat land. The speed of movement and the lack of foot travel had made Kyo oblivious to the treacherous landscape. Whats more Kyo had almost forgotten that there lay the Stone Village ahead and was about to fly straight through it. Letting out a brief sigh of half relief and half frustration Kyo decided to keep moving ahead for the hospitality of a village. Whatever kind of hospitality it may offer it was certainly better than risking a night outside in the current climate.
After about thirty minutes or so Kyo finally came upon the Stone Village. Luckily the place was accustomed to travelling shinobi so there werent to many stares of any kinda. The only thing that would be unsettling to anyone was the steel mask Kyo wore. But ninja were known for wearing masks to hide their faces so it wasnt exactly new. It just drew out curiosity as to why the mask was worn. Why ones identity was being kept such a secret. After finding the villages inn Kyo stealthily peered in through multiple windows until an empty room was found. Manipulating some Iron Sand particle under the window and into the locking mechanism after some time it finally came open. Quietly entering the dark room Kyo settled into the single bed dismissing the Iron Sand and quickly drifted off into a light sleep.
As sunrise announced the coming morn Kyo was awoken by the sound of approaching footsteps. Reacting swiftly the Sand Ninja managed to escape out of the window left open from the nights entering. Iron Sand once again reemerging from the steel mask mouth opening Kyo stood atop and began the trip for the Earth Countrys border. Luckily the Land of Stone was tiny in comparison to the surrounding Great Nations so it wouldnt be very long until the border finally came into the purple haired ninjas view. It would be then that Kyos reason for going would become clear. Such a reason only came around once in a life time and the Sand Ninja was not about to let it go by without seizing it.

As Kyo began leaving the Stone Village behind he paused for a moment. There were prying eyes about. "Something you need?" Kyo spoke aloud in deep voice. As the Sand Ninjas sentence finished a man came out of hiding from behind a building. "I know where ya goin. And i know why." The stranger stated. Turning about Kyo sized up the man from behind the steel mask. The strangers hair was dark and unkempt. Wearing loose baggy clothing Kyo took notice of the mans slim stature. Moving in closer Kyos height towered over the man casting a dark shadow over him. The stranger quickly took to a fighting stance but before he launched an attack Kyo spoke once again with a deep but soft voice. "Speed." The stranger paused. "What?" he the man questioned. "Speed. That is your specialty is it not?" The man seemed surprised. "How did-!?" "Your figure. Your small slim figure tells me that you dont exercise much. Probably becuase youre lazy. You want to be ninja as a status but you dont want the work that comes with it. As such you have very little muscle. So you must make up for it with speed. But since youre indeed lazy and hate to exercise your speed is downsized by your hasty decisions poor judgement. Your technique is more than likely sloppy. Fight me as you are and you'll lose. However i wont kill you. I havent the time. So please just crawl back to your little hole and leave me be." By the mans angered reaction Kyo could tell the hammer hit the nail on the head. "WHY YOU LITTLE!" the stranger called out before sprinting at him. Had Kyo been wrong? His footwork was not very fast at all but what about his hand speed? Kyo did not move. Kyo had not been wrong. The mans punch was extremely quick but sloppy and unpracticed. It hit home but not much damage was done. It stung a little but no more than a scraped knee would have. "How sad." Kyo said in response the mans attack. Kyo reached forward to grab the man but surprisingly the strangers response was quick and hopped out of the way. Kyo wasnt done yet though. Now more visible a mouth opened in the palm of his hand and a stream of spider silk shot out from it. Despite his surprise Kyos opponent managed to dodge it as well. Kyo followed up by throwing a few shuriken. The stranger ducked under them. "Surprising but your not very impressive yourself." The enemy taunted. Kyo said nothing but pulled his hand back tugging on the spider silk. "Got you." Kyo finally said in response. The spider silked had been pulled back and attached itself to the throw shuriken and was pulling the weaponry back. With another movement of the hand the silk spun around and entangled the man. A few seconds later the attached shuriken spun around as well stabbing the man in several places. "Damn it!" the spat. Kyo approached the man slowly towering over the helpless victim. The man shut his eyes expecting the worst as Kyo reached down towards him. The Sand Ninja simply plucked the shuriken from the mans skin and turned to move on with the journey ahead.
It was at that point more Stone Ninja appeared. Kyo let out a sigh of grief. "I really dont have time for this." With that Kyo turned to face them. One of the men standing before Kyo spoke out. "I can tell youre somewhat good. But no one messes with one of ours!" The man who spoke wore a mask like Kyo but his was solid white and had no mouth opening. His hair was long but spiky and bore claw based weapons. This one seemed to be the leader of the small group. The other that had showed up didnt seem to want to be their. A girl with large thick glasses and messy hair tied back into a low ponytail. Standing back she seemed to be there as a support role. Extending out both arms this time the extra mouths in each hands palms opened up. Kyo the opened his own mouth and Iron Sand come flowing out of all three mouths until a massive amount was generated. The goon Kyo had tied up earlier simply watched the girl standing in the background seemed shock but their leaders expressions were hidden as Kyos were. The mass of Iron Sand looming behind Kyo then morphed. Changing into hundreds of swords. The blades were sent swirling at the leader of the group in a large vortex of Iron Sand blades. The man swiftly dodged out of the way but to no avail. The blades came back around tearing up his back. The vortex turned upwards towards the sky the multitude of slashes causing the man to rise with them to a degree. As the last of the blades moved past him he fell to the ground. Torn up but alive. Kyo contemplated of finishing him off for a moment or two. Raising his arms up towards the blades they all dispersed into their original form of sand particles and retreated back into Kyos body.
"Now I must get going. If you know where im headed and why then you should have known better than to waist my time." and with that Kyo once again started for departure. Since it was still morning Kyos pace had slowed once again. Not to mention Kyo had actually used up the majority of chackra reserves on that last attack. So traveling as before was of course out of the question. However Kyo did not run. To Kyo such exertion was risky. Not physically really but reasons did indeed exist for Kyo. So movement remained at a walking pace. Kyo had originally hoped to reached the border before the evening but those idiots back near the village had taken up a decent amount valuable time and chackra. But there wasnt much that could be done about it now. Unless. Kyo pulled out a hidden small case of Soldier Pills. With the Soldier Pills Kyo would be able to optimize his travel speed but at the same time had originally hoped to saved them for emergencies. Stuffing the pills away Kyo moved on with his walk. Luckily tall height gave long legs making each stride wider than most other peoples. So Kyo was at least able to power walk at about the speed of a non-ninjas jog.

On the rocky road that led to the Earth Country, a young man dressed in a simple monk's robes walked carefully along it's path. With his head bent and his hands clasped carefully together before himself, he kept a silent aura of contemplation about his person. There was truly nothing unique about the man, his head was cleanly shaven with only a straw hat protecting it from the glaring sun. The only jewelry he wore was a metal rosary that hung loosely from his neck and two cross studs in either ear that was hidden by the hat he wore. Upon his back was a satchel that carried food and drink, a bible written in a language not naive to the lands he walked and deep within it, hidden away in a secret compartment was a flask of wine and smoked ham wrapped carefully so the smell would not escape.
Despite being a monk, his skin was bronze in color and his body was lean and muscular, as well as oddly shaped beneath his robes. Even his walk was strange as his powerful legs moved in a defining strut that was unbecoming of monks. But all aside, he was a monk and he was walking along the path from the Stone Country to Earth Country.

Kyo hastily walked down the path that lead away from the Stone Village. Now that it was known that other ninja had heard of the same rumors time was more vital than ever. However Kyos chackra reserves were still replenishing from having dealt with the thugs that had wasted precious time. Kyo could barely afford to lose anymore. As Kyo trekked down the stony path the Sand Ninja spotted an usual sight. A monk of some kind movng ever so slowly down the path ahead. Examining the monk for a moment Kyo noticed a few odd things about the man for being a monk. Tanned and muscular. Obviously well fit for being able to fight despite obviously being some sort of monk. But Kyo payed it no mind. Such things were trivial and distracting at the moment. So long as the man was not a bother then Kyo would not be a bother. Kyo moved to pass the man meaning only to move on.

Opening an eye to peer out at the man that was hustling past him, the monk quickened his own pace to match the person and flashed a polite and warm smile to the cloaked and masked man. "Hello, good sir. But if it wouldn't trouble you so, could spare coin for food and drink?" The monk questioned as he kept pace with the man, one hand clasped around his satchel on his back while the other was held out in hopes for prosperous joy.

Kyo didnt pause at the monks words. Nor did the Sand Ninjas pace drop any. Kyo simply called back. "I dont have anything for you. Now leave me be Im in a hurry." That was all Kyo would say. If this monk was heading in this direction for the same reason Kyo could not let on that that was true. If they were competition then Kyo would certainly lose more precious time to this monk. If the monk needed food and drink then he shouldnt have come out to a place like this unprepared. Thinking back about seeing the man Kyo could have sworn he had seen some sort of satchel. Surely the monk had more supplies than the man let on. Kyo simply shook the thoughts away before continuing on.

"Ah! Hurried are we?" The monk questioned, his bright and warm smile unwavering as he continued to keep pace with the man with an ease that barely revealed the capable legs that supported him in what was quickly becoming a race. "A hurry to where and to do what? Oh do please humor me with your story~" The man said kindly, though something about his tone suggested more then just a friendly request but rather a stern order. It was even reflected in the manner of the man's smile. His facial features were fierce rather than kind, and despite the wide, happy smile that played on his face there was something imposing about that way he looked at the man beside him.

Kyos teeth began to grind. This monk was becoming more and more of a hassle. It seemed that for some reason this monk was looking for a reason to fight him. That wasnt very monk like behavior at all. Something was off about this man. Finally speaking Kyo sounded very upset. Please just leave me alone! Frustration had gotten the better of the Sand Ninja. Kyos voice alteration ninjutsu had been disrupted causing voice to sound in its true tone. Though it was still soft its tone was a higher pitch. Much more feminine. A hand moved over Kyos mouth as the Ninja had realize the mistake that had been made. Kyo needed to leave the monk behind and fast. Kyos high paced strides were gradually speeding up into a full fledge sprint until Kyo was running as fast as possible. Kyo let out a grieved sigh. The reaction was wrong. This running would cause the man to instinctively chase after him. Accidentally disrupting a jutsu and then running off. Kyo was truly acting the maggot.

The monk practically stopped in his tracks at the sound of the voice, his eyes wide open and a mask of pure shook covered his features. Under those robes and behind that mask, hidden underneath all that gruff exterior actions and manly voice... a girl was hidden away. It wasn't inconceivable to believe that a female would choose to disguise themselves as a man during a journey, pretending to be a man would prove to be by far much more beneficial then a woman in most occasions. While it was a new world, there still laid on it discriminate males who saw women as weaklings and fragile creatures that had no place in the outside world but were to only be kept at home to cook and clean. To nurture and tend to the womanly aspects of life as they saw it too be. And then there were the leeches, the disgusting and pig like men that saw women only as beings of sexual objects, to be used and played with at their own discretion and then thrown away at their own choosing. It didn't matter which way you turned it, both types of males were disgusting and horrible. And it was cause of these very men that the Monk had come to find a woman hidden under the guise of being a man to avoid the maltreatment that would have been garnered, not impossible... but it still was certainly surprising and always unexpected...
With weary eyes, the monk watched as the girl ran away as fast as she could from him. A shrug rolled off his shoulders as he crossed his arms over his chest and simply continued to walk on in the same direction. The girl needed time to recompose herself... then he could try and get her story afterwords.

Notwen's ears perked up when he heard Chiyoko's second apology of the early morning. She was within the radius of his awareness dome so he could feel the true force of her words, no matter how much they displeased him. The dark-skinned boy closed his eyes. I can't stay mad at her... he thought. Releasing a small breath from his nostrils, Notwen stole a glance at his team mate. She had a far away expression, as if she was pondering a deep concept. At this point the dark-skinned boy retracted his awareness dome so he couldn't pick up what she was thinking about. He preferred to be alone for several reasons. One being that Chiyoko's upbringing would most likely slow him down, another being that in order to get food, he'd have to kill animals. He was sure that she wouldn't approve, but that was all part of being a hunter. Survival of the fittest. Notwen looked at his team mate when she started saying that she would accompany him no matter how dangerous things got. In a way, the dark-skinned boy pitied her. She had no idea how to use the land for survival, especially the desert, but it dawned on him that he could teach her. He smiled. " Chiyo-san, i hope you know that you just enrolled yourself in my 'Desert Survival 101' class." said Notwen cheerfully after a bit of walking. "Rule #1," He stopped, knelt on the cool shifting sand, and rummaged through his pack until he found what he was looking for. He tossed the hooded black fleece cloak at the albino kunoichi in a way that would enable her to move a bit, but was still easy to catch. " Never venture into the desert at night without proper insulation." Notwen knew that she was cold because he could hear her shivering. He could control the temperature of the air surrounding his body, creating a layer of insulation. so the cold desert air wasn't much of a problem for him. Now the dark-skinned boy began to circle around Chiyoko, studying her supply bag. " Rule #2: Pack enough things to last a round trip. I myself don't know where i'll end up going after i reach my primary destination, but i know i packed enough to make it there." Notwen resumed along his northward path. As the moon began to set behind the dunes on the western horizon, Chiyoko stopped to say i final farewell to the village, then asked where they were going. Notwen laughed. " That's right! I didn't tell you yet. Well, i hope you enjoy climbing mountains because we're headed toward Earth Country." Soon, the first rays of dawn began piercing the sky over the eastern horizon. The light began to illuminate the desert around the duo, revealing small rocks protruding through the now stiffer sand. Notwen pulled out the map from the pocket he had put it in for easy access, and looked it over. He nodded, pointing at a place between Earth and Wind Countries that was closer to the latter. " Right now, we should be somewhere around here." Notwen held the map so that the albino kunoichi could see where they were on the map, then put it away and continued walking. " The best thing to do would be to rest during the day, and travel at night until we are completely out of the desert. I'll make a camp around eight o' clock." With that said, the dark-skinned blonde continued northward.

Chiyoko nodded in agreement as Notwen suggested that they should make camp soon, but she knew that she would need food before too long. Suddenly she remembered something that she had seen on a map in her home. She activated her byakugan and smiled. She could see an oasis in the distance. "Notwen if we make a small detour we can rest at the oasis here, and there are sure to be plants and animals there as well." Chiyoko said as she wrapped the fleece cloak around her body. The sand whipped over the dunes and felt as if it was eating away her skin. She was glad to have her mask as the two made their way to the oasis.
When they arrived at the lush green pool of water the sun was beginning to rise in the sky. The heat made the air itself shimmer, and the sand was too hot to touch. Knowing that the water on the surface of the water would be much cooler Chiyoko pulled it towards herself and wrapped her body in the cool breeze. "Notwen how are we going to make a shelter?" She asked as she refilled her water bottle.
Knowing that she had a way to create her own shelter was great, but she worried about her dark skinned friend. He couldn't use the astral plane as place to get away from the harsh sun. Then an Idea occurred to her. She could open a small rift in the physical plane and create a shelter from the ether. It would take a lot of chakra and it would certainly be better if Notwen had another idea. However it was definitely a possibility.
"Here Notwen I'll make us a shelter." With that she slolwy tore open a portal to the other plane. She made the portal one way only so nothing could come out, but the sunlight and wind would be filtered out. She left a small hole where the air and sunlight would be able to enter so that it was comfortably warm, and they could still see. "There...That should hold for a while, but I can't hold it all day. You'll have to find some other way to shelter us before this rift gives out." She said already starting to feel the strain of sustaining such a large rift.
After nearly half an hour the rift started to close itself and Chiyoko could no longer sustain it. The rift snapped shut revealing a circle of indigenous desert dwellers around the oasis. They seemed to be rather territorial over the small pool of water and lush green vegetation. "What are you doing at our oasis?!" One of them yelled. The others rallied to the accusation and began to advance on the two ninja. Chiyoko would let Notwen have the first move. She didn't feel like dealing with angry natives and she was too tired to really care at this point.

Notwen blinked as Chiyoko mentioned going to a nearby oasis to make their camp. He had been in that particular area of the desert several times in his training. There was an incident that happened when the dark-skinned blonde was a child, and it made him hesitant to go over to the water hole. Before Notwen could stop the albino kunoichi, she was already a quarter of the way there. He sighed. There aren't any large animals around here, he thought. but there are several people who took ownership of those oases that aren't allied with the village. Notwen followed Chiyoko to what appeared to be a hazy, green spot in the beige-white horizon. As they got closer to it, a feeling of nostalgia swept over the Uchiha, followed by wave of sadness. This was the oasis where he and his twin, Novvus, were separated to begin their Urajjo training. The rock formations from which they had approached the oasis that day could be seen to the east. Notwen was amazed how the water hole had remained unchanged through time. The palm trees surrounding the pool of clear water seemed to have maintained their height, but the dark-skinned boy knew they had grown some more. Chiyoko went over to the pool of water and began refilling her canteen, then asked how they were going to make a shelter. The Uchiha thought about it. He actually didn't mind the sun because his dark skin afforded protection from the ultraviolet rays, and he could always control the heat in the air surrounding his body. Notwen worried about Chiyoko's albinism and the challenges it would pose for her in the desert climate. I could create an awning out of molten sandstone. he thought. After it's made it can sustain itself and eventually it'll be weathered back down to sand. Just as the Uchiha was about to voice his idea, Chiyoko declared that she would make the shelter. The albino Hyuuga began to rend the fabric between this world and the next, which resulted in a dome with a hole on the top to let sunlight in. Chiyoko stated that she couldn't hold it all day. Notwen flinched. It was as if a large shadow had been cast over his awareness dome. He could only sense whatever was in the small, circular area above them. It didn't help that they could see their surroundings. The dark skinned boy turned toward his team mate. " Chiyo-san, that technique blinds my awareness probe. Without it i can't sense if we are safe or in danger. I can feel the strain that technique puts you through. Please, don't use it in this manner again." After addressing the issue, Notwen waited a few minutes. Before an hour had gone by, the dome Chiyoko had created collapsed and they were finally exposed to the brilliant sunlight of the desert. As a result, the dark-skinned blonde's consciousness dome poured out of the binding that Chiyoko had created and flooded the area around the oasis. A wave of surprise hit Notwen's thoughts, causing him to recoil the dome closer around himself. Still blinking to adjust his vision, he could see that they were no longer alone. " What are you doing at our oasis?!" cried one of them in what appeared to be a mi between surprise and anger. The ring of people soon began to rally to him and advance on the duo. Thinking quickly, Notwen sped past a set of seals, and drove his hand into the sandy ground. " Brisingr!!" he bellowed. A ring of sapphire blue flames sprang up five feet from the sand genin, encircling them in a protective barrier. " Listen to me!" said Notwen over the voices of the indigenous people. " We are only here resting-" The sound of a dart whizzing past his ear caused the Uchiha to bend the flames and make them lash out in the direction in which it had come, careful to pull it back just as it almost hit a woman. " Chiyo-san, whatever you do, do not hurt these people in a way that will cause them to try and kill us." he said to his team mate.

Chiyoko grimaced as the natives became more aggressive. Notwen's comment about not really hurting them seemed silly as they did not share the same sentiment. "FIRE!" A man in the crowd bellowed suddenly. Stones, darts, and arrows flew toward the two ninja causing Chiyoko to activate her spirit byakugan. Searing pain surged through her body as her over use of chakra became evident, but she did not stop. She jumped in front of notwen and with a wide sweeping motion deflected the incoming projectiles using her chakra. Her byakugan deactivated and sweat flowed down the young albino girls face. She was going to have to do this quickly if she was going to stop the attack from escalating.
Without warning a dagger broke through the ring of flame and flew towards Chiyoko's left side. Since she didn't have her byakugan active so she didn't see the blade coming until it was too late to dodge. The most she could do was turn so it wouldn't strike a vital spot. The blade slammed into her arm and buried itself deep into her shoulder. The albino girl cried out in pain as the red liquid flowed down her arm. With her other arm she reached over and ripped the blade out causing more blood to flow down her exposed arm. Chiyoko closed her eyes for a moment and focused her thoughts. As the pain faded her hand clenched into a fist, and her eyes snapped open. "Notwen I don't have any chakra left so cover me." Chiyoko said as she opened the first gate. The sand beneath her body began to swirl up around her as she whispered to herself. "First gate, gate of life open." With enhanced speed Chiyoko ran through the ring of flames. The heat was intense but she was fast enough that the sapphire flames did not burn her pale skin.
As she emerged on the other side of the flames the look of shock on the faces of the Natives were obvious. Chiyoko could feel the small amount of chakra that had returned to her body crying out to be used. With a smirk she disappeared into the astral plane and appeared in several different places striking the weak points on her opponents. One by one they fell down unconscious until not a single opponent was left standing.
"Notwen...It's all clear..." Chiyoko said between labored breaths. Taking on so many opponents at the same time with almost no chakra was hard enough on her body, but the first gate pushed her beyond the normal limits of her body and she would have to rest for the rest of the day before she was ready to travel again. She slowly made her way over to the oasis and fell onto her back panting. "That was definitely not expected...what are we going to do with them when they wake up? I mean we can't just leave them here. They'll die.." Chiyoko mused as she finally started to catch her breath.
As the day went on Chiyoko began to feel the damage she had done to her body. She slowly and painfully made her way down to the oasis at mid day to drink from the crystal clear pool of water. She was very glad to have some small amount of shelter in the shadows of the palm trees. The intense heat from the sun was wreaking havoc on the albino girls skin and she couldn't wait to get out of the harsh climate of the desert.

Notwen activated his regular sharingan as the indigenous people of the desert began to throw projectiles into the ring of fire. His hazel eyes became crimson and he grimaced as the chakra needed to maintain the ocular jutsu began to zap his chakra reserves. I need to learn how to lessen the strain of the sharingan... thought the dark-skinned blonde as Chiyoko stepped in front of him and swept some of the projectiles away with her chakra. He tracked the movements of the rest of the projectiles while dodging them with ease. Notwen was looking in his team mate's direction when he saw the blade lodge into her left shoulder. He could see with his sharingan that she had turned so that the blade struck her arm, otherwise it could have gotten stuck in her ribcage. The albino kunoichi cried out in pain, but mastered herself and pulled out the blade with her right hand, causing blood to spill freely out of the wound. Chiyoko said that she didn't have any chakra left, and that she wanted him to cover her. Since Notwen had spread his awareness dome to the area within his ring of blue flames he knew what the albino kunoichi was thinking. "Alright. I've got you covered, Chiyo-san."
A change came over Chiyoko as she accessed the first celestial gate, the Gate of Life. Chakra seemed to be coming from nowhere as the albino kunoichi tore down one of her body's limiters. With improved speed, she ran through the flames so fast that they didn't even have a chance to burn her. Notwen closed his eyes and concentrated on expanding his awareness further, until all of the minds of the indigenous people were within his reach. Careful to filter out Chiyoko's consciousness, the Uchiha sifted through a list of words that acted as absolute commands when spoken directly into another's mind. Jitosaa!! thought Notwen, and suddenly he felt the people surrounding them grow rigid as the effects of the word caused them to stop all motion, then felt their minds cloud over as Chiyoko knocked them unconscious. Once the last person was knocked out, Notwen extinguished his ring of fire to let Chiyoko through. She made her way to the water hole and lied on her back. The albino kunoichi stated how the ambush was unexpected, which kinda irritated the Uchiha, but he hadn't told her the dangers when they had arrived at the oasis so he couldn't be mad at her. Then she asked what was going to be done about the natives. Notwen already had a solution planned out. Releasing his sharingan, the dark-skinned blonde conjured up four clones. Establishing a mental connection with all of them, he sent one into the desert to find a specific grove of trees that were about two miles away, and the other three to bind the unconscious natives with molten sandstone shackles. It took the binding clones about fifteen minutes to bind all thirty natives, and it took twenty-five for the scavenging clone to return with what the original needed; the seed pods and leaves of the Mesquite Tree. After taking the materials from the scavenger, he released it along with the other three.
Notwen stored the Mesquite seed pods in his bag, along with the majority of the leaves, then pulled out a cup he had brought along. He walked to the oasis and dipped the cup in the pool, taking it out when it was three quarters of the way full. Next, the Uchiha dropped three of the leaves into the cup. Controlling the heat in the water, he made it boil so that a tea could brew, then removed some of the heat so that the liquid wasn't too hot. Walking over to Chiyoko, Notwen knelt by her side and examined the wound. It was still bleeding, and since it had been left untreated for some time, what was supposed to be a metallic smell moved on to be the sour-sweet one of pus. The thick yellow substance now fringed the wound, indicating that the area was beginning to get infected. The Uchiha took the albino kunoichi's arm and said, "Chiyo-san, your wound is getting infected. I have made something that'll help, but it's gonna hurt." With that said, he poured the Mesquite tea over the infected tissue. It was a way to clean the wound, but not disinfect it. He hadn't brought many antibiotics, so this was the best he could do for his team mate. After draining the cup over the wound, Notwen placed the Mesquite leaves over it and tied a bandaged over them. "This is the best i can do for your shoulder until we reach the Hidden Stone Village." Conjuring two clones, he had one pick Chiyoko up and had the other stay to release the natives once they were far enough. As they traveled further on the area became less sandy and more rocky, signaling that they were officially out of Wind Country. The rolling dunes gave way to coarse, uneven terrain that would have been difficult for Chiyoko to deal with in her present state. In that time, the Uchiha had received the knowledge that the natives were freed. After several hours of travelling, Notwen spotted the Stone Village from the top of a cliff. "We're almost there. All we need do is go down that down-hill path." For the next half hour the dark-skinned blonde traveled with Chiyoko, who was being carried piggy-back by the remaining clone, until they reached the village. Once there, they made their way to the inn, where Notwen booked a room on the second floor. Once inside, he had the clone lay the albino Hyuuga on the bed and release itself. Notwen himself stretched himself out on the floor, exhausted from the trip and sustaining his clones for so much time. [179 Travel Lines]
