 Vane Nykyrian Wade Vane walks through the trees on the mountains he had been born on. He was just out for a walk, looking up to the night sky at the moon and stars. He seemed to go on these walks quite often, alone, because no one from his pack seemed to like him much because he was different from them in many ways. Most in his pack had red ears and tails, while he had white ears and had the tail of a nine-tailed wolf. As he walked he didn't fully pay attention to where he was going, not knowing that hunters had started trapping the area he normally walked through. Soon he found himself caught in one of the traps, his foot was snared in a bear trap. He tried continually to remove his foot but had no luck, and he knew that no one was around or close enough to hear him scream. He sat down, making sure not to move his left foot too much, for he didn't want to cause more pain and damage to it.

Sifen Yamishi Sifen wandered past the brush and trees.He had been an exile for quite a few years from his homeland,all for trying to overthrow the dictatorship there.Black hair flowed behind him,a river of beauty...but hiding darkness.His dark brown eyes also concealed feelings of sadness,being betrayed by ones he had trusted for so long.The day it was announced for everyone to hear was one that showed how everyone thought of him. "Mother...I'm so sorry..."the vampire whispered,looking up at the vast wilderness around him.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane sat there in the grass with his back leaned against the trunk of a tree as he struggled not to whimper in pain. He failed a few times, not being able to bite back the sounds as he struggled with the pain and sadness. He knew no one would come looking for him, sure that they all would be happy if he was gone or killed. As he looked up to the full moon he whimpered and then whispered softly to himself. "I wish I could be taken away from this. They all hate me, so why do I go back every night to them? Why do I put myself through the torment of knowing what they all think of me and say about me?" He shook his head, knowing why he did just that. It was because he knew if he left he would have no where else to go, that he would be completely alone. So as he sat there he ran his fingers through the grass, feeling at least partially soothed by the feel of the grass beneath his fingers.

Sifen Yamishi Glancing over at the same old grass patch he had passed by three hours ago,the vampire noticed something white near it.Perhaps it was snow,a rare sight for him.Brushing a hand over this particular sight,he noticed how warm it was."Snow isn't warm...must be a familiar...like a jaguar..." Closing his eyes,the vampire decided to make camp near this strange white thing.Resting his head by its side,he yawned.As the cold wind blew near him,the verdict from his exile rang through his head. Only then did it make those terrible memories come back.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane glanced over to the figure that was close to him and whimpered as he started to struggle in the trap. He wasn't sure if this person would harm him or not, he just knew that he had to get loose or he would die here. As he struggled the trap started to cut into his hind leg even more, turning his white fur to red as blood seeped from the wounds that were being caused. All Vane could think about was that this person could be the hunter or something worse.

Sifen glanced over his shoulder and saw the kitsune.Back home,they were poached and used as mythical familiars.As pets for some,which were given loving homes.He owned a few back home...but others became war machines.To tear at flesh with no remorse...
Breaking open the trap,he saw how handsome the beast in front of him was."These things only existed....in stories...I never expected to see one..."the male whispered,tending to its wounds.He smiled slightly upon seeing its face.
After cleaning up the blood,Sifen picked it up and started looking for shelter."What are you...?"

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane growled as he tried to back away from the person, still unsure of their intent. Even when he was freed from the trap Vane didn't relax his guard, even through he was soon wanting to as he was tended to and then held in his strong and warm arms. Against his better judgment Vane was soon nuzzling the males chest as he started to relax. At his question, Vane's tails twitched slightly causing them to brush against the male's side.

He looked at the rather strange creature that was now brushing against his side.Familiars only did this action if they had decided to take a liking to whoever bonded with them.There was no tag on it,which meant that nobody wanted this.
Soon,they came to an abandoned house."This will have to do,young one.I can't go any further today."the vampire said,closing the door.He soon headed upstairs in search of blankets for his newfound friend.The search was a success,as he found some.
"Just sleep on the couch and recover.We'll make more progress tonight."

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane was still nuzzling the male's chest when they came to a home. When he was spoken to he looked up with a tilt of his head but went back to nuzzling against the male until he was placed on the couch. He was cold, for winter was drawing close, so he curled up on the couch, careful of his hind leg. As the male left him alone he thought to himself. 'Why is this person being so kind to me? And why do I feel like I am meant to be with him?' He shook his head slightly and closed his eyes, but they were soon open again as he heard the male entering the room once more. Vane saw blankets in his hands and was glad for the warmth of them. But what he really wanted was to curl up in the males arms again and fall asleep there. Most would think since he is a wolf that he would be big, but that was one of the other things that had always made him different from those in his pack. In his human form he might be tall, 5 foot 11 inches, but when he was in his wolf form he was around the size of a large beagle or pit bull (16" - 22").

After finding a bed far away from the sunlight,the vampire shed his snow covered clothing and got into its covers.The cloth wasn't as thick as the blankets he gave to the fox,but it did not matter to him.It would be a matter of hours before they would trudge out again in search of resources.
While sleeping,his twitched constantly,as old memories of darkness kept resurfacing in dreams.They plagued him on a daily basis,but tonight was no exception,for this was no ordinary one.It was the anniversary of his exile.Unfortunately,the nightmare was growing more and more vivid this time.Before he knew it,he snapped his eyes open and cried out in a bloodcurdling scream.
Throwing aside the covers,Sifen gasped for air."Why...why are they coming back?"the vampire asked,getting up and looking outside.Darkness was starting to come,providing the opportunity to trek onwards.Gathering his clothes and courage,he made his way downstairs.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane slowly fell asleep curled up under the blankets, his own nightmares tormenting him. But as he slept he slowly started to change forms, turning into his human self. And as he shifted his left hind leg, the leg that had just barely started to heal, was re-injured in the shift. And as the leg was injured again he woke, screaming in pain. Vane bit down on his lower lip, literally biting back the scream as his body finished shifting. He was still biting his lip when he sensed the male walking down the stairs and drawing closer to him. Vane stood and moved to the corner, the blankets falling away from him and off of the couch. He was glad that when he shifted he still wore his clothes, for that would make this even more awkward. As he waited there, in the shaded corner, Vane watched the stairs, waiting for the vampire to appear.

Sifen heard a clattering sound while throwing on his black leather jacket.It was one of the few possessions he had after the exile.The collar was starting to wear out,so clothing was something necessary in need of being replaced.By the time he got there,a white haired male was in front of him.'A hunter...how did that hunter get here?'he mused.
Opening the door and taking in the cool breeze,the vampire looked behind him.
"Did you follow me here?"Sifen asked.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane stood in the corner trembling slightly as the male walked into the room and stood close to him with the front door open. "I...um...N-no I didn't f-follow you here..." Vane slowly moved away from the corner, limping slightly as blood slowly trickled from his left leg. As he slowly moved out of the shadows he bit he lower lip slightly. He stopped once he was in full view of the male, his ear and tails now viable in the light of the room. His tails were tucked close to his legs and his ears were flat against his head as he spoke softly. "You..um..brought me here...."

"The only thing I remember was picking up an injured fox...unless you...are that..."he whispered,slowly making his way to where his guest was.Familiars rarely revealed themselves,then again,it was a penalty for them to do so back home.
Sifen began to take some spare cloth from a nearby table and wrap it around the familiar's injury.
"Hunters will pay for what they did to you.For now,I'll call you...Sky..."

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane stood still as the male walked up to him, the tips of his tails twitching slightly revealing how nervous he was. Vane looked down to the male as he bandaged up his leg again. At his next words Vane was shocked by how strongly they had been said and shook his head slightly. "W-why? I-I was the one that was s-stupid for getting t-trapped." At the male saying he would be called Sky he looked a little shocked but then remembered he hadn't giving his name. "Oh...um...My names V-Vane..."
