((Others are free to jump in a little later after the confrontation. o-o ))
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go.
The song seemed to loop on through Blade's mind, and it drove him nuts. He wish the holiday season wasn't so blatantly obvious, but people always liked to get started with the decorations early and they only grew in numbers as each day went by. As time went on, his general demeanor worsened but he figured things couldn't get too bad. Once the holiday season was over, he wouldn't have reminders shoved into his face and his mood should get better.
That wasn't happening yet though. For now, he was rather miserable. The empty campus was nice though, as he didn't really have to deal with anyone while he was like this. At the same time, it just seemed to exemplify his loneliness. Especially on this day, five days before Christmas. Riyo and Mitsu, and a handful of staff including Hakim were around still, but he generally didn't hang around with them. A part of him was a little nervous to really approach the girls anyway.
Despite how cold it was, he was out walking around that night, trying to get his mind off of things. Just about everything on TV was christmas related, one way or another, and it was all over the internet as well. His distracted mind couldn't even let him focus on gaming without royally screwing up here and there. Seeing how there wasn't really anyone around, he didn't bother going to his rooftop hideout as he strolled on through the snow.
Pausing after awhile, he stared up at the partially cloudy sky, completely lost in thought. It was just about the only time he was numb to the frigid weather.

Suto sat in the main office of the school tapping away at the computer in front of him. There was so much more time now to focus on what he wanted to do, it was wonderful. For that alone he could be thankful for the holidays even though he didn't celebrate them.
In the time school had been out he had been working on his next big experiment. Mitsu had been a first phase and while he had plans to use her in the future she was of little use at the moment. In all honesty he was surprised she had survived some of the things he had done.
No, now he was focused on the list of students he had potential interest in, and who better than to start with the ones who were a constant thorn in his side. Poke and her friends were near the top of that list but there was one other that ranked number one. Blade Faryn. The thief was constantly sniffing about and it was only a matter of time before he stumbled onto something important. Suto already had his hands full with Neko knowing that the janitor was sneaking around on Hakim's order. He was also interested to know what kind of abilities Blade had obtained since Suto had a bit of a miscalculation with the dosage of medicine he had given him. Only one way to find out......
From the shadows a small creature appeared, a being comprised of a black swirling substance that looked like used oil or tar. It stood upright on two legs like a man but its legs bent in the wrong direction, clawed feet tapping at the ground. Its eyes were blank white voids that stared in no real direction leaving its face rather blank until its mouth cracked open to speak. The black mass that made up its body pulled apart to make its mouth, the opening stretching up around its eyes. It was just as white and void like as its eye sockets leaving one to wonder what the creature really was. An odd sound issued from the being's mouth, something like a chattering screech but Suto gave a nod like he understood.
"So he's out and about is he?" Suto smiled. "I think I have a little surprise in order."
Not far from Blade a body pulled away from the shadows like it had suddenly formed out of nothing. The person in question was covered from head to toe in a darker gray, different straps and other material of different shades helping to break up his form in the shadows. His head was completely covered in a black hood, not even eye holes cut out so that he could see. The only thing that gave way to what this person might be was the gray-white tail that hung behind him. A tail that looked very canine.
Silently the figure moved forward but the sudden crunch of snow alerted him to move faster as he lunged toward the thief. Clawed hands outstretched he reached for Blade's arms to grip them firmly and drag him to the ground. There was no hesitation in this person's step despite the fact it looked like they had no visual aid.
((Hope you don't mind that I use Ginji, if you want Suto only I can change it))

Ten years it had been and it still haunted him. Blade wished it wasn't like this but it wasn't easy. The lack of having really anyone likely made it harder, especially around these times.
With his thoughts off in space, he didn't notice someone manifesting nearby until he heard a footstep in the snow. Snapping out of his own little world, he turned to see who it was, not expecting anyone to be around here. His eyes soon widened as he saw some hooded stranger lunging out at him. The thief attempted to move out of the way, but he was too shocked to really react in time.
Grunting as he was being pulled to the ground, he rolled over and tried to pry the other male's hand off of him.
"Let go of me," he hissed while trying to break away. He didn't know who this was or why they were attacking him, but he supposed that didn't matter all too much. Blade would try to figure that out once he had the chance.

The masked assailant's grip tightened as Blade tried to pry his hands away. He did his best to pin the young thief going against the other's request. Leaning forward the figure gave a short sniff, like that was all the identification he needed before he drew back a hand ice forming along his fingers. It only took a matter of seconds for the ice to form into long spikes that the masked man used to strike downward at Blade's shoulder to pin him to the ground.
((Let you decide it Blade pushes him back or escapes or if the attack hits and how bad it is.))

Struggling against the mystery man, Blade gritted his teeth before his eyes widened as he saw wicked looking ice-spikes forming to strike him down. Quickly, he brought his legs up to kick his assailant away. It was enough to allow him to roll off to the side and scramble up to his feet.
Letting out a breath, he looked over the masked man, but he couldn't tell who it was. There was the tail, but that really didn't help him out a whole lot. What caught his attention as well, was that he couldn't see this guy's eyes at all. Frowning, he took a step back.
"What do you want with me?" he asked as calmly as he could. The fact that some random guy had just come out of nowhere and just tried to stab him with ice made him a little jittery. But.. he supposed that now he knew he was dealing with an ice mage of sorts which was just lovely considering the weather right now.

The kick hadn't moved him much but it was enough for Blade to escape his grasp, the ice spikes striking the ground instead of the thief's shoulder. Without so much as a sound the masked man flexed his fingers breaking the ice away, leaving the spikes where they were. Standing to his feet he turned his head in Blade's direction hearing his voice. The hood masked a great deal of his hearing but he was still able to locate the boy fairly easily.
Instead of answering the question the man brought up a hand, the snow shifting and turning on the ground before large spikes of ice shot up from the ground behind Blade high into the air. One by one the spikes continued to form until they were in a fairly large semi-circle boxing Blade in. Lowering his hand back at his side a long tendril of ice started to form from his palm. Once it was nearly three feet in length he grasped it like a sword and lunged forward swinging his new weapon at Blade's middle.

Furrowing his brow as the other guy did not respond to him, Blade glanced behind to find that he was now boxed in essentially. Turning his attention back towards his attacker, he saw the icy sword coming at him rather quickly. The thief hopped back, hissing as he felt the tip of the ice graze his midsection, leaving a nice tear in his clothing.
Whoever this was, they seemed like they were out to kill him.
Placing a hand over the fresh but fairly shallow wound, the thief shifted to the side and tried to kick the man by the knees. For now, despite being attacked with ice, he refrained from using his own magic. With how cold it was here, he could easily wipe himself out if he wasn't careful. His movements were already a little more sluggish than usual because of the numbing weather
It was too bad he didn't have anything he could use like a sword here himself... he'd probably have a better chance at getting away with minimal damage here if he did.

The crunch of the snow and the echo off the ice wall the masked man had made seemed to aid him in hearing every little movement Blade made. When the thief took a step, the shuffle of his clothing and the moving air alerted the man that he was lifting a leg to kick. Considering the sound of the slight shift the kick wasn't very high so he took the sword he had made of ice and drove it into the ground by his legs. Just as the tip penetrated the ground and stuck, Blade struck it instead of his knee. The ice, while not weak, still managed to crack from the abuse on the verge of shattering.
Feeling the weak point in his weapon the man abandoned it lunging forward with his other hand to land a punch to Blade's head. At this close range the sound of his breathing was enough to let him know the location of which he needed to strike.

Man this guy was quick. Gritting his teeth a bit, Blade was glad he had some boots on right about now else he would have really felt that ice. He was just about to follow up to try and gain some momentum, but the mystery man was quick to counter. As close as he was, the thief just barely managed to block the punch.
With his free hand, he balled it up into a fist to try and wail the attacker in the stomach in return. If he could at least stun or get the guy down, he could probably get away. That.. required him to actually be able to smack the stranger up a bit, which wouldn't be easy considering he had already proved himself to be quite a formidable opponent.

Blade's movements were like a well placed alarm. As soon as his fist came toward him the man turned neatly to the side, Blade's fist just barely missing its target. With one hand the man grabbed for Blade's wrist to use the thief's momentum to keep him going in the same direction while he brought up his other arm to drive an elbow into his face. It didn't appear like the man was going to let up any time soon.

Blade's eyes widened as the stranger moved away from his punch with ease. Now he was really too close to avoid the attack and as he was pulled forth, he found an elbow smashing him right in his temple. Grunting, his mind went senseless for a bit there and he staggered about, completely dazed.
It looked like he was trying to attack back somehow, as he raised an arm, but he was far too disoriented to really do anything.

Letting go of Blade as his hit made contact he listened as the boy sounded disoriented. Hearing the hand raise the man reached out to grab it while his other hand reached to his side. There were a number of things strapped to him but the item he was after was a small dagger. As he pulled it from the sheath it was apparent it wasn't a blade made of steel but something else. In essence it looked like a giant curved fang, the inside curve having been sharpened to a fine point so that it would not only pierce but cut as well.
Flipping the blade downward he held it tightly in his fist drawing it back with intent. Taking a step toward Blade the man struck toward him, blade coming downward toward the thief's chest.
((If you decide that he dodges this attack that's fine))

Slowly, his mind was coming back together after having taken the heavy blow to his head. He felt his arm being grabbed and he saw the stranger moving towards him, but all didn't register until a split second too late. Blade tried to move out of the way but soon let out a cry of pain as the dagger sunk deeply into his chest.
His red eyes were wide open as he stared at his attacker. It hurt like hell. The fang hadn't quite hit anything vital, but it nearly pierced him all the way through. Just from the pain alone, he could feel his legs weakening, ready to give out from under him.
"Wh-what do you want...?" he repeated, trying to make sense of why he was being stabbed at this moment.

The feel of the dagger shifted as it sunk into Blade's flesh. Holding it all the more firmly the masked man started to put pressure on it pushing it downward. "I have a message for you." He said calmly, his voice smooth and almost calming despite the situation. "I've been charged with telling you Merry Christmas and to enjoy your gift." He tugged on the dagger a bit more before releasing it leaving it in place in Blade's chest. Letting go of Blade entirely the man took a step back, his hooded head turning in the direction of the thief to listen for any signs of retaliation.

Wincing as more pressure was put onto the dagger, Blade stared at the masked man with disbelief as he finally spoke up. This was just surreal. So this guy had been sent after him? Staggering backwards as he was released, he went on to try and get the attacker once before he could get too far away. Bringing up his left arm, he tried to send a fireball at the masked man but nothing came. Instead, he cringed and clutched at the dagger sticking out of his chest.
Despite the fact that it'd likely make him bleed more, he tried to pull it out, but it seemed to be stuck within him. He could swear that felt like his flesh was still being ripped apart where it was. The pain was just mind-numbing. Vision blurring, he dropped to his knees while trying to think of what he should do.
Atticus most likely wasn't on campus right now and he would probably never make it if he tried to walk to the hospital on his own. Weakly, he reached into his pocket to bring out his phone but it seemed that he had failed to charge it last night.
"s**t.." he winced. Maybe he could find the girls, but for all he knew they could be out for the night. The dorm wasn't too far from his current position anyway. Struggling to his feet, he began to stagger on towards that building, leaving drops of red in the snow as he moved.
