Travel between the Fire and Lightning Country is not a very easy trip. Between the two countryies resides the Land of Frost, a small minor village with dangerously low temperatures. This village was the battleground of choice during the war between Fire and Lightning and now is mostly abandoned, serving as a pit stop between the two countries. The recommended means of travel is via ninja dog lead sleds.

Sai's sobs slowed to a halt and his body ceased to move as he simply knelt there, cradling the body of his brother in his arms. Quietly, ever so quietly he knelt there, letting the seconds and minutes flick by, ignoring the coldness that bit at him and the dying warmth of the unattended fire. With another gust of icy cold wind the fire would be extinguished and the last of the light and warmth of the small igloo would be stolen from them. The tapping sound of the person outside the structure was lost from Sai's ears as he stared absently at his brother's face... his face. Who was dead? Was it Sorain, was it really Sorain that was dead? The boy's eyes frantically shifted back and forth over the form of the body, questioning whose body was it actually. It couldn't be his brother. Sorain was to proud and strong, blunt to the end with everything he did and headstrong in every step. There was no way it was his body that he held there, no, it was impossible.

The muscle in Sai's jaw flexed violently as he began to grind his teeth without actually realizing it. It had yet to dawn on Sai at all that there was really someone else outside, that the fire was dead, that snow was slowly building up on him, or even that he was trembling violently with a fierce grip around his brother's body. And least of all, that he was screaming incoherently at the top of lungs for his brother back. All of it wasn't a realty to him, everything was silent and dead in his mind as he was so sure that it wasn't Sorain that was dead before him but himself. He was dead, Sai, not Sorain. He was the weaker of the two, the cry baby, the one that got knocked down and never wanted to get back up. Sorain also fought through everything, Sai was the coward, it was only befitting that it was Sai that would die in a barren wasteland that they knelt in at the moment. Sorain would be able to manage through the death, he was strong enough, not Sai, Sai would break under such pressure. He would scream and rampage, and loose all sense of himself. No. It was Sai that was dead, and Sorain who was holding onto the body and he was simply just watching the last moments before he faded away... That was surely what was happening.

A scream of pure agony peeled out of the igloo's entrance and ripped its way through the unnaturally formed blizzard uncontested by it's power. From the time the sound had begun it had not ceased nor waver, not even for a second as the sound rung around dangerously within the igloo to the point that the structure shook with the fear of collapsing. The snow at the entrance was pushed easily away with the vibrations and the air in the immediate area seemed to get thinner. It was hard to say if it was colder or if had gotten warmer. In actuality, pressure, temperature, and even the vision of the area had suddenly become distorted. It was hot, it was cold, it was heavy, it was light, was the world upside down or skewed awkwardly to left and/or right? It was starting to seem as though realty itself was being distorted as the snow began to take a redish-black hue, with only the igloo itself unaffected by the distortion. It's form purely white and solidly formed, not deformed or changed in any manner.

Sorain sat sightly as visions of a world covered in ice flashed through his mind over and over almost to the point where it felt as real to him as it could possibly be. He could feel the freezing sensation of his own ice covering his body, the screams of pain and agony howling through the air at his rage. His vision grew darker, fading out to a black that was darker than he ever envisioned possible. The light of the afterlife was fading to a pitch black telling Sorain that the end was near. "Freeze the world brother, there deeds shall not go unpunished." he spoke before laying back and allowing himself to fade into the next life, as he did so his body began to go into a frenzy even worse than that of when he was dying. It was like his mind was being torn from his body and flung rapidly across the room. He saw the scene from so many different perspectives at once, like his soul was constantly changing and being tossed around like a rag doll, only to be sucked back into a pit of darkness. However this darkness was not ominous, there was something about this darkness that seemed more like a new start than an end. The screams of terror and agony at his rage slowly molded into broken cries from his brothers voice. The chilling delight of his ice spreading across the land turned into a bitter cold from the freezing winds. The light that he once had was now gone into blackness, his eyes were open and there was nothing there, after all, he was still blind. Sorains body jerked violently as he took a large inhale of frozen air that quickly coated his lungs and caused him to gag. His chest felt like it was on fire, and that every attempt to breath was wracking his chest with a god like force, every part of his body was screaming for death to end his own suffering, but death was not permitted, yet again the fates showed no mercy, and he was left to his agony. His body and soul damage from the sever cold, he could not bring himself to move of his own free will. But he was alive, as painful as it might be, he had not moved on yet. It was then that he considered which would have been the easier path.

Outside Tabitha frowned as she realized that she had just been utterly ignored. The sounds of screams and sobbed rung out, making her instantly sorrowful. Not for their loss, but for the fact that the first strangers that she had seen in months were a bunch of pussies. How on earth was she going to convince the villagers that they were evil spies? If anyone should have happened upon this scene her entire plan would have been ruined. She waited for a moment before leaning down and sticking her head in to try and get a view of what was going on, and if she should just simply end the ruse, barge in, and capture them as they were. The moment her eyes made contact with the two body pure terror waved through her body. The intense chakra that was pursing off of his body was causing the world itself to collapse around her. As frightening as it was, she had no way to turn her gaze. The mix of blue and purple chakra that was blasting through the igloo had almost frozen her to where she stood.

The snow and ice that filled the immediate space had begun to melt into droplets of water and each one had rolled its way towards Sai's oblivious body. The droplets had been plastering itself to his form with the help of his raging chakra and was beginning to create something from the spine of his back, but the moment Sorain's eyes fluttered opened it all stopped. With a splash, the water crashed down to the snow and quickly froze away before it could have a chance to shift it into slush. But Sai hadn't noticed, his crying eyes were only on his brother who had miraculously come back from the dead. Pulling the boy's body into a firm embrace Sai continued to weep for a moment before setting his body back down, "Hold on bro.. Just hold on..." Sai muttered, turning to relight with frantic and uncoordinated hands only to freeze in mid motion as his wide eyes caught glimpse of the strange girl entering the igloo. "Who... What do you want?" Sai growled out viciously, his head turning in a disturbingly slow manner that made his appearance seem almost unnatural as his bright blue eyes glared at her with venom.

Sennyo walked away from the two brothers, as they made their preparations to fight the cold. Apparently, fighting the cold was something that people needed to do. Sennyo barely noticed the change in temperature. He stood in the snow, not really knowing or caring what his life was going to end up being like. He had just technically betrayed his Village by associating with these two. It was true that he could attempt to knock them out, bring them in, and claim it was all an undercover getup, but that was too flimsy. He also was not really sure what he was going to do. As he walked out of sight, he kept a mental note on where their chakra was located in case he needed to get back to them in a hurry. He needed to think. He had excused himself, so they would not be all too worried that he had not had any type of say in the events that were occuring, but he did need time to think. As he walked through the blizzard, he considered a few things. Were these people really his allies? Would he be better off without them? Could he be better off without them? In his mind ran a zillion simulations of what would happen if he were to leave them. First of all, he would have to change his appearance slightly in order to throw off hunter nins, but he had never had much of a presence in the Mist Village, so going after some rogue wannabe genin for that seemed almost ludicrous. Sennyo figured that he would need to alter his ears a little, maybe his eye color, and maybe he would have to dye his hair. He would also have to tone down his wardrobe despite how much he loved color. However, he was not all too interested in that right now. He also had to consider Sai and Sorain. Maybe the Hunter nins did not want Sennyo, but they definitely wanted those two. Sai and Sorain would immediately see Sennyo as a threat to their own safety, so whatever he was going to do, he had to do fast. If he was going to leave, he had to do it right now and not really think about them. If he did wait until they were at their full strength and not trying to recover from the cold as they were currently, it would not take them long to track Sennyo especially since he did stand out and most people would instantly recognize him.

"So, Sennyo, you got yourself into this, what do you do now?" Sennyo thought about his options. On the pros side, leaving Sai and Sorain to die in the cold or possibly to survive but be too occupied to try and find him would work for a while, but eventually they would recover and probably have some sort of animocity toward him. That would not do. Then, he would be hunted from two angles and both angles led to his eventual death in a slow tortuous process. The second option was to go back to them......Sennyo turned his head immediately to the direction that Sai and Sorain would be in. He bolted toward it. A sudden decrease in chakra followed almost immediately by a sudden increase. This was a powerful source, and there was another one there. He deduced this once he got closer. Once he was in visual range, he noticed that the igloo had melted and refrozen leaving Sai, Sorain, and someone else dangerously exposed. Sennyo looked on, wondering what could possibly be done. Sorain seemed badly hurt. Sennyo had only mastered minor healing techniqes, so if Sai chose to battle, Sennyo would work on Sorain, but right now he simply chose to stand there in silence and watch the situation play out.

Tabitha screamed loudly as the pain and curruption that was burning from their bodies grappled her very soul and brought her to her knees. Her hands burred in her hair as if to try and force her mind not to fly out of his head in insanity. With a wince she forced herself to her feet and limped as far away from the igloo as she could. With every step she took she fought desperately to activate her frost jutsu to get out of the area but there was just no use. The sheer force of that chakra had disrupted even her own chakra flows, making her nothing more than a common human. As she finnaly managed to put a decent amount of distance between them she managed to formulate the hand signs and dissolve away into nothing but frost that got taken away by the wind.

Sorain's eyes opened slowly, the bandages that were once over his eyes were now torn to shreds. The longer he kept his eyes open and fixed the more the pitch black abyss seemed to be overtaken by light, a strange glowing light, one that resembled fire burning around his brothers face. Sorain's lips cracked and flaked as he opened his mouth widely to suck in as much air as he could in order to jolt himself back to life. What was going on? He thought he was dead. In fact he was sure of it.. and now? Now he was lying in the arms of his brother whom was no longer recognizable to him. Even without his sight he had always been able to sense his brothers presence, but now.. Now it was different, almost as if there was an entirely different person crouching over him. He moved his head as if to try and shake things back into perspective but it did no good. Through his eyes all he could see was the never ended darkness, broken only by the light of Sai's chakra like a body on flame. Sorain tilted his head up in an attempt to rise to his feet, he was in no mood to continue lying down helpless as he was currently doing. He was alive, he was fine, he wanted to get out of this near death state as soon as he could so that they could make their way out of this ******** blizzard that had almost prematurely claimed his life. Though, there was a silver lining, through his brief trip to the afterlife he was allowed for the first time to think clearly, to understand the world around him in such away that would be impossible for him to grab in the world of the living. He now understand, that the only true way for this world to be purged of evil, was to literally irradicate it, and the key to that was hidden in the Ice. He swore on this night that the world would freeze over from his own hand, and that no one would ever stand in his way.

Tabitha re solidified herself at the base of the mountain. In front of a large cave lied a rather large boulder that was made to look as though it was simply part of the mountain. Stepping forward and placing her palm against it, the boulder instantly poofed into nothing but a small rock, allowing her to step inside and regrow the rock to its massive proportions. As she made her way through the lair that was this cave, she quickly found her two sisters in a heated duel of wards. "******** that! Im tired of protecting this village that does not want to be protected!?" The younger of the two sisters screamed towards the eldest, "You will do as I command and you will do it without protest or I will not hesitate to end your life." she said bluntly without even so much as giving her a pacing glance. Tabitha ran in to interject telling them in full detail about what she had just happened upon. All three of the sisters remained silent, before lacing their faces with matching wolfish grins.

Sennyo looked toward the girl, as she began screaming, cringing, and finally running away. Sennyo was too far away to feel the full effects of what this girl was feeling obviously, and he was going to keep it that way. It was not until the turmoil and the massive chakra spike faded that Sennyo felt comfortable enough to approach the two. Following the fleeing girl would be a fruitless waste of effort. She held no information that could be considered helpful. If she did come from some Village, then she would no doubt tell of the experience she just had, and that would inevitably make them less than desirable as guests to wherever the hell she came from. Sennyo simply decided that he wanted to see what the hell was going on with these two. Now, the heat that had apparently melted the igloo was cooling rapidly, as Sennyo approached with no problem.

"Um, looks like I missed something rather splendid." Sennyo put his hand behind his head and surveyed their campsite. It was melted and re-frozen, and the two boys looked pretty worse for the wear. Sennyo looked at them, hoping for some kind of response as to why they made themselves so foolishly vulnerable in this fashion.

Sai's eyes followed the woman as she ran away from the scene, a pure hatred seething from his existence as he did before he returned his gaze to his brother. Slowly the chakra that exuded from his body began to calm down before all together dissipating away to nothingness. All the while, the boy quietly cradled his brother in his arms carefully. Sorain's existence was all that mattered to him in the world and so when Sennyo approached the duo, Sai did not notice him, nor when Sennyo addressed him did Sai acknowledge him. Instead the boy carefully shifted his twin's form and began to dress his upper body in the warm clothing he had stolen from the village, his hands slowly pulling on the outfit onto his brother.

When Sai had finally finished dressing his brother he slowly rose to his feet, his arms pulling Sorain's form up with him as he did before pulling him to rest on his back. With a weary face he turned to face Sennyo. "I think it's best we get going. It was Sorain's technique that created our shelter, and I'm not very good at making such things. So.. Unless you can create some sort of shelter or can find us a town or village to go to, beside the one in that direction." Sai said with a crude gesture in the vague direction behind him before continuing, "I suppose it's time that we got moving... I don't want to be out here for the next blizzard." Hefting Sorain up more comfortably on his back, Sai began a slow progression through the snow in a random direction, stopping only to look back at their camp out. There was still bag there with food and a few pieces of clothing there. "There's some food and clothing there. Help yourself to any gear you please and some food. But please ration it... It's all we have left. If you please, please bring the bags with you. God knows if it'll come in any use for us." Sai requested, his tone somber and drowned with sadness as he resumed his snail like pace through the snow.

Sennyo looked in the direction that the girl had run and noticed that Sai had apparently had the same general notion that, should such a Village exist, the trio would be most unwelcome after such displays. Sennyo shrugged. He was not feeling particularly hungry at this particular moment, nor did he think that he had the general strength to contribute to Sorain's current situation, but he was more than up to the task of carrying the bags and the food and such. The good thing about being in such a place was that refrigeration was definitely not a worry. Sennyo looked around noticing one thing in particular. While the elements may not phase him to an extent, Sorain and Sai were definitely not privvy to this curious immunity that Sennyo possessed. It was not the only oddity that Sennyo had, but he was definitely fortunate to have this one. He had no idea why his body was so good at maintaining its internal temperature despite the outside weather, but he had to admit he was not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. He slowly jogged back to the campsite before picking up the clothing and other such rations. He took off his absurdly colored coat before slinging the pack over his shoulder. He jogged back to the duo and offered his coat to either one of the brothers. Due to its smaller size, it would pretty much act like a shawl, but it was slightly warm, so it was something, and Sennyo was not in need of it. He only wore it for its bright pattern.

"I am afraid that my chakra sense would not help much at all with vast ranges. I think that our best guess is to try and find a natural shelter like a cave or something like that." Sennyo smiled, as he looked at the pair. well, for whatever it was worth, he was in it for the long haul now.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 29, 2010 8:31 pm

Sorain grunted as he was lifted up onto his brothers shoulder, although he was dying for any morsel of food that his brother had managed to get for them, he simply did not have the strength to eat, nor would his pride allow him to let his brother hand feed him as if he were some sort of child or pet. He closed his eyes, not used to the new found vision of chakra. It was bright, it was unusual, for the first time in his life he had a concept of color, though he was not sure exactly what those colors where. Sorain let his eyes open slightly to see if the vision was just his imagination playing a very intricate trick on him during times of extreme danger, such as freezing to death. Sorains eyes peaked open, and as he did, the first thing he saw was a fire like outline around his brothers body, though it was no where near as bright as it was before, it was still there. Sorain looked over his brothers shoulder to see a single wing burning from his back. Atlhough it was not threatening to him, it was still a shock to see such power radiating from ones body without any effort. Granted, he knew that they were the holders of the Legendary Bijuu, but still, it was the first time he had ever first hand witnessed the power. Well, at least with his own eyes. Sorain returned his eyes to their closed position and allowed his brothers support to move him forward, "Im not really sure where we should go. With that amount of commotion we just caused...It might be a good idea if we get the hell out of this area for awhile.. But then again, on a boat back to mist is a horrible idea, and heading over to fight would be just as dumb. I dont think the pussies in Water would tell everyone in the world about what we did, but no doubt those nosy a** ninja from Fire gonna be finding out pretty soon.

Sennyo looked up at Sorain who seemed to be coming into further consciousness, but he did not take the offer for Sennyo's coat. As such, Sennyo just flung it over his shoulder and continued walking for a bit with Sai. Sorain had just confirmed what Sai and he had been saying which, in short, was that they had nowhere to go currently. So, the first thing that they had to do was to find shelter from the elements because, despite Sennyo being able to stay out in the cold indefinitely, Sai and Sorain could not. Sennyo looked up at the sky, and then he began looking around the terrain. His eyesight was pretty keen, but he was not all that sure that they would find anything in this snow. Sennyo continued walking at an, albeit, liesurely pace considering that his companion was weighted down by his other companion. Sennyo's mind began to wander, as it often did. He thought of certain things about himself and where they might come from and how to hone them properly. He thought of certain things like now. What if he could transfer body heat? What if he could change environemental status? What if he could......what if was kind of useless at this particular moment. He could have screamed at how useless he was right now. If they both fell, Sennyo could do precious little besides try and keep them warm with his own body heat, but even that would never account for all the other injuries that could result from this kind of cold. He huffed, and he could still see his breath. It caught his attention, as his eyes fixed on the vapor before it dissipated out of sight. However, that was not the interesting part. After what seemed like an eternity, Sennyo's eyes focused on something. At first glance, it appeared to be just another snow drift with some dark coloring; however, Sennyo's eyes focused a little bit hardr, and he noticed that the dark coloring was snow that had collapsed inward and was actually snow covering the mouth of a cave. Whether it was shallow or deep would be the next task, but right now, Sennyo looked to Sai.

"Sai, Sorain, there is a cave over yonder if either of you would require rest" Sennyo's tone was brighter right now than it normally was because he was taking this little good news as a ray of sunshine in between the shitstorm his life had become as of late, and maybe this was a sign that he was on the right path.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 29, 2010 9:09 pm

Sai's legs were beginning to drag through the snow and the pace he was moving was slowing down bit by bit as the combined weight of his brother on his shoulders and the snow holding his feet was beginning to prove too much for Sai's body. Despite all his training and workouts, his body just wasn't strong enough to handle all the weight and the more he forced himself to strain on foreword, the more his body groaned and threatened to tip over into the freezing snow that surrounded them on all sides.

The boy was exhausted and currently had reached the point where he was moving through sheer will as his eyes fell closed as he moved foreword, the blue orbs only flickering open every so often. Sai was just on the verge of collapsing when Sennyo's voice broke the dreadful silence that clung to their lungs and heart, a wave of relief washing over Sai's body as he heard the words. Wearily, Sai raised his head and searched around the scenery to locate what exactly the young boy was referring to. For a moment his features dropped and he was worried that the cold was beginning to cause Sennyo to become delusion but it was in the very next moment that the dark incline that he had mentioned came into view. There was a cave of sorts in the near by area. And in Sai's mind it had their names all over it, with large signs and build boards that pointed out the direction and beckoned the group foreword.

"Great job, Sennyo. Thank you~" Sai said through pressed lips, his body leaning foreword to continue on through his path, now with a new vigor that would successfully get the group there within a few hours.

Sennyo practically raced toward the cave and punched the snow that was covering its mouth. As suspected, the small bit of snow that had previously fell was enough to form a slight mound, but it was not enough to form a well compacted barrier. The snow fell easily, and Sennyo walked through the mouth of the cave. He had to admit that it was slightly small, but it seemed to get larger and larger as they went back. Apparently, it was a small mouth to a big cave which would provide adequate prtoection if they built a fire and proceeded to re-build the mound the Sennyo had punched through. It was so funny that Sennyo actually had survival knowledge despite not particularly requiring a whole hell of a lot of it due to his internal thermometer being constantly constant. Sennyo placed the goods down and waited for Sai and Sorain to enter the cave, as he began to pile and pack snow to cover the mouth slightly. This way, wind would be less of an issue, but he did not cover the mouth entirely due to the fact that a prepared fire would burn oxygen, and they would need that eventually. Thus, the small opening would provide slight camoflauge as well as a clean supply of fresh air to keep them all from suffocating to death. That seemed like a nice idea.

"So, we got any stuff for a fire or do I have to scavenge up some wood and tinder?" Sennyo's tone was bright as though scavenging for firewood is all he really wanted to do in the world and, since he was the only one to be able to withstand the cold, he was probably the most eligible candidate.

Huffing loudly as he lugged himself and his brother into the cave's dwelling, Sai carefully but quickly pushed his brother's body against the cave wall and allowed him to slide down to a sit on the floor, almost tipping over himself as he did. Hunched over with his hands firmly clasped on his knees and his chest rapidly raising and falling as he tried to catch his breath, Sai allowed his eyes to survey the inside of the cave. It would serve well enough for a shelter for now. In fact they would be able to easily rest and sleep there for the night in the little cave. The mouth of the cave was curved as it raised and already was so covered by snow that it appeared to be a small hill or mound in the landscape. There was little to no wind coming in but the oxygen flow was still there. It was perfect for the time being. The only issue Sai could note as he watched Sennyo pile up the snow at the mouth and pack it together... was the fact that there was a big wall of snow at the mouth of the cave.

It was a brilliant idea. The wall blocked out the wind that would surely kill any fire and warmth they were able to build, but there was still a shortcoming to that. A price to pay that originally did not appear to be small but by time of day break would be deadly. There was a blizzard coming, snow was coming down in heavy drifts and the wind was pushing it where ever it wanted. When it did come time for them to all leave, they would be stuck in there. The snow had already proven to change the cave into the appearance of a small hill, a mound of snow. It was only time before the entire cave was surround by snow, and then covered by it as well. At that point there was no way out. There was no way any of them would have the strength, even at their best, to blast the way through hundreds of feet of snow. It just wasn't going to happen.

With a soft sigh, Sai looked up to Sennyo with tired eyes that yearned for sleep and nothing else. "We wouldn't be able to find anything of those likes in that blizzard..." The boy's head shook slowly before tossing a tired hand to point in the direction of the bag of supplies. "There's a bunch of extra clothes in there, so whatever you don't want to wear you can use for fire. Just make sure it lasts us til morning." For a moment the image of them all dying from carbon dioxide poisoning flashed through Sai's head, but he quickly pushed it of his mind. He was to tired to contemplate how dreadful the conditions were with the small air hole in the snow wall. In the end he rather just opt to allowing them all to survive because the three were fan favorites in a guild of roleplaying.

With lazy eyes, Sai looked at the rest of the cave. When it came time they were going to have to take a chance and hope that the tunnel that ran through the cave actually led somewhere. It was going to be their only chance of getting out at the rate they were going. With a sigh, Sai turned too look at Sennyo with curious bright eyes, "So... Why did you come with us? You were so happy about graduating, weren't you?"

Sennyo finished packing the snow about three quarters of the way up. He would leave some room for the snow to do its own thing, but he still left enough room for air flow. He heard Sai's statement about finding the wood within the blizzard failing to take into account that Sennyo could sense his way back to the cave, but he was right in assuming that Sennyo would essentially be aimlessly wandering around for a couple of hours searching for something of that nature. Sennyo smiled, as he returned to the pack and went further into the cave, making a ring of stones to prevent the fire expanding too much. Sennyo smiled, as he went to work building the fire to keep them all warm. He only picked out two shirts. They would last a while, and they would definitely warm this cave up. Sennyo smiled, as he started hitting the stones together to make a spark. Fortunately, it worked. Sennyo began to blow a little on the fire and let it grow before adding strip by strip of fabric to make it larger. Instantly, Sennyo felt warmer even though it particularly did not matter. He heard Sai's question and smiled.

"You guys seemed interesting, and you did look really sad. I figured we all need friends, and since I did not have many....well, any, I figured I really liked having what would pass as companions as opposed to getting constantly s**t upon by people who despise me when I go home. Mostly, that is all I really think I want is companionship. Must be fun." Sennyo silently cursed himself. His voice had an odd way of always sounding chipper, so even though the speech was meant to be somber, Sennyo's tone was rather bright and almost conversational. He smiled though, as he observed Sai and Sorain.

"Also, I must say, you guys are anything but boring." Sennyo finished off with a tiny laugh, but then his eyes focused again on Sai.

"Well, we've heard me. Why is it you and your brother were willing to risk being hunted until dead just so you could send the Mist Village a little fireworks party? I hardly think your actions de-stabilized the government in any long term way. So, what were your motivations?" Sennyo returned to kindling the fire in order to keep it a larger size. Sennyo kept smiling, as he knelt by the fire, his eyes brightly reflecting the flame. He sat back and brought his knees to his chest, as he dug into the supplies for a small ration of food, and he began to eat it slowly to more savor and preserve it.
