Alice sees the twilight, knowing it's getting dark and lesser demons might attack them, although she can sense demonic power, but didn't know how she got it. She pull off the hood and she smiled sweetly as she hands up like she's won a bet, "We've finally arrived." she said to her very cheerfully as happy girl.

She nodded and walk with her hand on Merril's back to show her there is nothing to worry about. Alice knew that she have to act like sister to her, "They will let us stay for a while, until we find out about that twin guns. Trust me, I know he will be wise about it." she said to her calmly as she walked towards to the door.

She smiled at her and place her ear to the door, just to make sure she wont interupt their business or meetings, but she hear silence. She sighed and open the door, and it's empty building. Alice, felt something eerie going on, let her hand infront of Merril's face, "Stay here... just use Number XIII Hades Gun, not the twins. I have to check to see its empty or not." she whisper to her in serious tone as she slowly walked in and pulled her cloak to keep her weapons hidden. Alice carefully not to make any noise and slowly breathe to not make any sense her presence. However, the hand got placed on her shoulder, "My goodness Lady Hotaru, we are not demons and going to hurt you." said a male mid-age voice, and Alice starts to get scared as she screams with her eyes shut, "GYAAAAAAAAAAAA~!"

"Lady Hotaru, please calm down." said the man as Alice still screaming from being scared, she wasn't fan of horror or scary stuff. She slaps his hand and about to knock him down, but she open her ruby eyes and saw The Holiness which she knew she used to be christian as she gasp about it. Ho... Hotaru-san?" she questioning herself to him, and he started to get confused about her behavior. He begin to realized about her, Oh, my apology my good friend, I'm clearly mistaken you from that priestess. You look exactly like her, but in really long white hair." he said to her calmly, which Alice starts to get her brain mixed up.

Alice heard Merril's voice and she looked at her direction, so she quickly stand in between them to defend Holiness, "I'm okay, but he scared me and I thought I will be killed. Don't worry, he's friendly fellow." she told her and look at him as she bow to be more respectfully with kind smile, "I accept your apology your grace, but we came here for an author of this book. His name is Sanctus-san, is he around?" she accept the apology and ask him a question. He listens to her and he smiled, "Yes, that's me... I wrote about our Dark Knight Sparda." said Sanctus to her with gentle tone and look at Merril, "It's alright, young one... our Legendary Knight once save the humanity, you two wanted talk to me for something." he said to her as the knights came and started to look at Alice and Merril, noting on their Assassin's outfit. Alice didn't bother hearing what they say, but she look at Merril with sweet smile, "Merril-chan, please show him the Ivory & Ebony."

Sanctus take the Ivory & Ebony and take a look at it as he realized about them and look at the Merril, "How did it appeared and why this demonic guns won't harm a girl? It's impossible." he said with shock. Alice widen her eyes, however she's a miko that she couldn't sense the demonic aura from this guns, "Oh dear, but Sanctus-san, she can shoot those twins. I mean, she might be something that she has been possessed with." she told him in such worry tone. Sanctus gasp about her sentences and look at Merril as he walked towards her and take her hands to analyze her. Few minutes passed, his eyes became widen by his gasp and step back, Alice started to concern about him. She place her hand on his shoulder, "Your grace, whats wrong?" she asked him, but his eyes became widen again as he looked at her and begin to realized about Nazumi. He looked around to avoid anything suspicous and any possessed demon in human body, "Follow me, I will tell you why this little girl can shoot the demonic gun." he said quietly and walked to secret chamber. Alice starts to wondering what's going on, so she followed him.

Alice heard what she said, she also afraid that something must be terrible happen. Once she and Merril enter the chamber, Sanctus closed the door and fired the torch as he sat down and looking at the female assassins. "Your little friend was a descendant of the priestess. According to the legend if you read it, Sparda sacrificed the human priestess to seal the Temen-ni-gru gate, but whoever draws the blood of priestess to sealed Temen-ni-gru... the demon world will be open and everything will be overtaken by their hands." he explains to them about the legend of the Temen-ni-gru. Alice gasped about it and look at Merril, "A prietess?" she said slowly and quickly looked at Sanctus as she's about to cry, "Sparda-san sacrificed the priestess to closed the Demon World. And you telling me that Merril-chan is a descendant of the priestess?" she cried as her eyes begins to water, but Sanctus expression seems to disturbed from looking at Alice. "Yes, and remember I told you I mistaken you as Lady Hotaru?" he asked her and she nodded. He sighed and begin to explain to her, "Lady Hotaru is a remarkable woman with strong spiritual power, she's a priestess and shows kindness. After she gave a birth to a child, a female child, she ran off because she knew her daughter will be in danger from darkness and be more like her. She once told me that her first born children, her twin sons to protect their sister and train her to became an assassin, and become a priestess assassin." he explains to her calmly, which Alice started to get confused and decide to ask him a question, "Your grace, what is her last name and it's almost close to my past?" she asked him way seriously, and Sanctus sigh as he looked up, "Her last name is Nazumi, but from her husband's name." he revealed the name, Alice begin to gasp and step back, she's a daughter of the priestess and assassin, along with Merril a descendant.
