It had taken a long time for Fau to get this far. He didn't even know where he was going. He didn't even know where he was from anymore, but he continued to walk. He couldn't stop walking - and if he did, what would he do?
He didn't know. He just didn't know anymore. Vunjififaudi was lost. He wasn't really lost - he didn't have a destination, so he really couldn't be lost. However, his loss was purely emotional and it made him so confused.
So he simply continued to walk...

Mani was resting under one of the few sprawling tree on the mostly baren landscape. Her poor feet needed a good rest, even if for a short time. She'd been walking perhaps several miles, and the ground was getting rather hot for her pads. Atleast it wasn't too hot, atleast, but still hot enough to get to her. Though her pelt didn't help the dainty cheetah anyway. Thankfully, the shade offered her some shelter and from this spot the cheetah tried to stay awake. A musing thought passed her mind, as it would be funny for any passer by to see a cheetah struggle between sleep and be awake.

Fau continued walking, walking, walking - and suddenly, he just stopped. His red-brown eyes, which had previously been downcasted, were now almost lazily looking about. Which way to go? He didn't know. So he began walking again - a new direction...
He gave a small frown, pausing again. His nose picked up a scent - a feline?
He hesitated closer, nose moving to pick up the scent. He didn't want to get too close... But he was curious. He had not scented anyone in a long while - he hadn't seen anyone in a far longer. He just hoped they would tolerate his presence.

Mani was drifting in and out, her brain perhaps abit too sluggish to realize that anyone else was nearby. Not that she'd might the company. ..If she were even awake enough to realize any of this, anyhow. Her nose gently bonked against a tree root, snapping her awake once more. This time inhaling so much air that she couldn't help but notice a scent not too far off. Definately feline. ..If it were any other creature, they'd still have their own underlying the scent; even if they did hang out with cats all the time. Mani was in abit of a conpromised state. Hopefully whomever was nearby wasn't going to be violent.

Fau hesitated ever closer, seeing the figure his nose had picked out for him. Alas, twas a small looking cheetah - that didn't mean she wasn't mean though. Today, Fau didn't want to think anyone was mean though.
Still, she looked kind of tired. "Hello, Miss," he said kindly with a shy smile.

Mani jumped slightly, not expecting a male voice, let alone a lion. He sounded nice, which calmed her down quick enough.
" Oh, Hi there. " Mani snickered alittle to herself, " I wasn't expecting any company today. It's nice to see someone else out here. "

"I don't even know where here is," he admitted shyly, sitting just close by. He didn't want to invade her space, after all. She seemed nice though. "I hope I'm not disturbing you," he noted witha frown - he had a habit of disturbing people when they were about to rest it seemed.

Mani's ears perked forward slightly, noticing the frown on the lion's face. She didn't particularly like it when other's frowned around her.
" Oh, it's okay. I hardly ever know where I'm going, but I supposed that's a part of the fun. " The cheetah scooted over some, so that the lion could have some more of the shade. " You're not disturbing me, so don't worry. I was merely trying not to fall asleep. "

"Oh? Trying not to fall asleep?" he asked curiously, inching further into the shade. He hadn't know how hot it was out - he hadn't really paid attention to anything at all. The frown had disappeared from his face though.
"I'm glad I'm not distubing you," he said shyly, but a small smile was present on his maw.

Mani smiled as she saw that the frown disappeared fromt he lion's face.
" Yeah, I've been walking abit on this hot day, and.. heat makes me kinda sleepy. " The cheetah laughed.

He gave a kind smile "I suppose the sun has a way of making people sleepy," he gave a small laugh - sometimes it made him sleepy as well, but lately, his mind was too numb for him to even feel the effects of the environment on his body.
"Is there a reason you're wandering though, if I may ask, Miss?"

" Hm? Oh.. I suppose not. I just go where my feet take me " And that was true enough. From the day that she'd wandered off from her parents, she'd always been on the move. Her feet wanted to go places, and that's what happened. One could suppose that it was wanderlust, but.. maybe that was just from her parents. They used to be a part of a nomadic group and wandered all over. " ..And you don't have to call me, ' Miss '. My name is Mani. " she said with a smile.

"Oh, I'm sorry," he said, slightly embarrassed. "Nice to meet you, Mani," he said, giving a slightly fidget. "My name is Fau," he gave a small laugh, though he was more embarrassed then anything else.

" It's alright Fau " Mani said, a smile still on her face. " it's nice to meet you. " It was nice to have some company. For all the time she'd been wandering, the one thing she always hoped for was to come across someone. Sometimes Mani wondered if finding a wandering partner would be good.

Fau gave a small nod in respond, shifting his weight from paw to paw. "Where are you headed next?" He wondered. The lion gave a small yawn, only just realizing how tired his body was. She said she wandered though - so many she didn't know...
"Can... can I travel with you for a bit?" he asked aloud.
