This will be the base thread for ideas and feedback. Let's face it, out of all of us I probably have the most freetime due to my sleeping schedule. Input from everyone it politely demanded in exchange for hugs, love, and cookies.
Edit: For anyone trying to reach me... (in order of most likely to get to not) 1. Email me at dragoonshadowkite@gmail.com 2. Leave a message here 3. PM me on gaia

I've had this desire to do another LW storyline for awhile now.
The hardest part of ending is starting over again.
This does NOT mean I want to reneg on the lore of this guild, not by any means. It does mean, however, having an open mind to ideas is required. I've never thought of you as closed minded individuals, you're my friends, my family, and I'd like to see this place alive again. I will do something about it.
This could also mean starting a thread in Barton Town to use for the rp thread. We could recruit people from there. Not everyone in Barton is bad.
Another option could be to host it here, and place an OOC recruitment thread in the Barton OOC subforum.

Character use:
In complete honesty I would like to use the original LW cast of heroes. For myself I will probably rework a bit of Shadowkite's background, adapting to some of the book's lore where possible, and use her.
This also brings up, do we let people come in with whatever race (or race combinations) they want or try to suggest races to them? (Human, Demon, Halfling, Elf, Partner Machine, ect) We could even write a bit about each one. For example we'll do humans:
Humans A race that seemed at first doomed to fail, they have proven to be most resourceful. They made clothes to replace a lack of fur; developed weapons to make up for not having fangs or talons; some have even learned the ways of magic to rival that of other races. There is hardly one single temperament that can be used to describe this race of beings.
I'm going for a bit of an RPG feel where you would choose your race, your gender, and your class during character creation. Certainly don't know about the "classes"... I don't want to restrict this by slapping boxes that one must fit into in the middle of everything. I guess I'm not really for the idea of classes but if the need arises it is an option.

Races could include, humans, demons, elves, halflings, dworfs, mech pals, vampires, were-wolfs, and mix-breeds.
Demons Once over-running the Earth, most demons were banished or purified from the world and cast back into the Underworld were they orgininally came. The demons that did remain in the world either became monsters, or they evolved to adapt to the changing world.
The number of demons is still small, but the variety there-in is staggering. Demons are still hunted and generally look upon as evil. Due to this many demons devolped into more humanoid forms and some even look like regular humans. Demons still are feared and viewed as minons of Hell, and not without good reason.
Weak demons managed to sneak out of the Underworld, and some very powerful demons managed to break out through force. These demons nearly always look to feast on humans or reak havoc on the world. Few good demons roam the Earth, but the ones who do can become valent allies.

Elves Naturally skilled craftsmen and magically endowed, Elves stick out due to their long pointed ears. While many elves have come to view themselves as superior beings to humans, some still keep a level head and interact and live with humans as equals.
Dwarves Short and stout, this gruff race is full of pride and low on magic. Beards are common to almost all dwarves and so is their natural connection to the Earth. If you're going underground, bring a dwarf. If you need someone to craft you a strong weapon, seek a dwarf. If you need a strong fighter to knock some heads, a dwarf is a good race to start.
Halflings Much like humans, but smaller. Generally half as tall as the average human, hence the name: halfling. Despite their shortcoming, (sorry for the pun), they manage to function just fine with their natural agility and high dexterity. These people are well known travelers who could cross the planet barefoot.
Dragons Giant reptilian creatures, dragons come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, but all are dangerous. That is not to say they are all bad. Many people have come to tame this majestic beasts and even form powerful bonds with them. These powerful creatures have magic coursing through their viens. Hunted for glory and hunted out of fear, dragons are rare creatures that tend to avoid human settlements as much as possible.

Ocar has the races going good (Thanks!) so lets talk a little more about plotlines.
The first general plot I've have is a time flux plot. Lonewolf and his Dragoons have always saved the day, however, a sorceress casts a powerful spell to sow destruction upon the world Lone's Dragoons have worked so hard to protect. For all those familiar with KH: Chain of Memories a similar concept will be applied. The spells warps time and events rewriting things to suit their needs, but the Dragoons (and possibly a few others depending on where it's hosted) are protected from most of the spells undoing. What this means is that they will be affected by the time reversal like everyone else, but their abilities wont be completely taken away; fractured, but not drained completely.
We'd be using our younger characters in a past where the Dragoons were never formed.

Here's another plotline proposal:
Remember that 2 year gap we had? I believe it was after Rikku's defeat. This proposal would fit into that gap. During that time I had always thought Shadowkite would go and stay with her mother's family for awhile. Of course she ended up returning to the Dragoons afterwards, but this could be a set up plot for later events such as the time flux one.
It would be about 6 months after the last event on the old plotline when the Dragoons would get a letter from Shadowkite. Her Aunt and Uncle have slowly fallen gravely ill and something evil is at work. Fun surprises await the Dragoons when they arrive suck as but not limited to: formal ball dances, aristocracy, xenophobia, demon spawns, getting thrown in jail, outlawed, and battles (of course!).

We're going to recruit outside players. I believe at this point we are/should/will host this arc outside of the guild. Later arcs might be rehosted here, but for now I think this will be for the best.

How's this for a profile? It's the one from the Legend Reborn arc. I think I may tweak it a bit and possibly add in an alignment field.

Hey Kite, it's nice to see you again and even better that you are trying to get things up and running again. You are welcome to use my ideas from the Legend Reborn arc and perhaps other ideas from the old rp; You'll probably have to ask Lonewolf since he's the primary owner of that rp if you want to.
Unfortunately, I probably will not be able to participate as I'm way behind in graduating on time (Yay for wasted credits and money! >_<) but I will be happy to assist in ideas.
While both of your previous plot lines were acceptable (I liked the first one btw), can I suggest an AU of some sort? That way we will be able to keep some of the major points/characteristics of our characters and start off a somewhat fresh, new plot line which sort of runs along your first idea but at a more radical change.
Also I have no problem with outside rpers; it's good to have some new blood running around after all.

Hey Lion! Sad to hear you can't participate in the rp other than behind the scenes. I do like the idea of AU. Mulitverses always offered cool times. The question because how much of an AU do we do? Do we want to use some of both plotlines to do a mix?
Like actually have some of the dragoon from our universe pulled into the AU universe? Even if we start off in a complete AU (will Lonewolf's Dragoons be formed in the AU or not?) Ocar had a great idea about having threshold guardians that symbolize the worst of the Dragons such as Inferno's Gluttony and Lonewolf's Pride.

You could take a point in the old rp and branch yours off from there or...
A) You can take it that Lonewolf never did form the dragoons and we just somehow joined up and beat the crap out of the random or specific villains.
B) Have an AU that involves all of our characters in a set beginning point to end like I was planning for the Legend Reborn rp and the LD (Lonewolf's Dragoons) does exist.
C) *Insert random idea here*
The thing with AUs is that you can wrap, twist, and even make it brand new in a way. I for one would try to put it where the roles are reversed somehow.
D and Example) Lonewolf going insane with madness along with Mortamus and somehow the continent is in between a dark and bloody war between the two. - Warriors and mages in and out of the continent have to chose sides or.. - A 3rd party rises and battles both which then complicates matters because...well, a 3rd party just confuses the crap out people. Like the Green Party. Or the Tea Party. =P
E) Or you can basically kill off every single character because Mortamus becomes uber powerful and you can follow up with a growing rebellion and such.
I don't quite get the threshold guardians idea. Can you elaborate a lil more on that one?

Threshold guardians are like mini-bosses. They are there to be the toll collector along a hero's journey. The weak are eliminated and the strong succeed.
After talking with Ocar earlier I thinking of having the main villain (Monika, Kite's cousin, possessed by the demon Ravanati) slip through a rift and kill Mortamus before he becomes a powerful necromancer. This would mean a great deal to how the guild formed.
Mortamus being dead means he never forced Steph to break up with Lone; he never leaves to go on his adventure, therefore, Lone never forms Lonewolf's Dragoons. The Dragoons as we know them never get together so they can be anything. Mercs, wanderers, maybe even villains.

The threshold guardians seems like a good idea but considering the fact that no person wants to be killed off so easily, I don't know if this will work out. However, I do have another way we can use these threshold guardians...I'll email you the details so its not spoiled.
