ZONE 4: SANDY CLAWS' WORKSHOP
THROUGH THE PINK DOOR
crossing time: ??? Finally, you've arrived at the goal! As you approach the giant building that overlooks all of Christmas, you see a gnome standing at the doors. "We've got your perimeter taken care of. All you gotta do it get in, grab the loot, and get yourselves out, got it?" Looking left and right you see several other gnomes sitting cross-legged with their eyes closed. "What?" Door Gnome asked crossly, "You thought we'd just abandon you?" Yes, you did actually. "Well, normally we would have, but this here is different. This here is about ELVES. And Sandy Claws. BUT MOSTLY ELVES!" He looks at you all squint-eyed for a moment before nodding to himself. "We went ahead so we could put up a barrier of sorts, help you snots out a bit once you get inside. Things'll be a bit different things time around." With those less than useful but slightly reassuring words, he opens the door and you walk into The Workshop. Five doors stand in front of you. Each a different color. "Each path leads to the goal, so just pick one and get going!" You go through the pink one. Quote: The OOC: This zone is only for those who pick the PINK door. There's no set time for crossing this area, the final goal will have to be unlocked instead! Thanks to the gnome's barrier, the battles rules have changed! Be sure to read the post below!

BATTLE INFO This will be a GROUP BATTLE. When the area boss attacks, it will affect everyone who has posted in the thread before that attack post. TENTS WILL NOT WORK IN THIS AREA. If you have entered the area at all, your student will be getting attacked along with everyone else! The battle will consist of rounds. Each round begins with the boss's attack. You may each attack once per round. KO- due to the barrier, a KO will not zone you back to the Infirmary! You'll just be passed out on the battlefield! - after 24 hours, your character will be able to "revive" with 15 HP.
Regular Attacks- are unlimited as long as your character isn't KO'd - are a simple melee attack (punch or kick or ankle biting or w/e) to use: - roll 2 6-sided - subtract 6 from your total - the final amount is your damage (getting a negative number with a regular attack will not decrease your HP) JOY Weapons- Due to the concentrated power of the workshop JOY weapons ARE NOW USABLE MULTIPLE TIMES IN BATTLE. The exception being the Tangled Lights! Those are destroyed completely after one use and will not be usable again! Also: the roll for Carol of the Bells has been changed!Christmas Wreath -> A circle of green complete with lights. Throw onto the enemy. There's a lingering smell of burnt plastic in the air... Roll 2 6-sided dice. If the first roll is even, you hit. If is odd, you miss. The second roll determines how much damage you did if you hit. Examples A Hit Hitmon rolled 2 6-sided dice: 6, 2 Total: 8 (2-12) 6 is an even number, so it hit! Sadly it did only 2 damage. A Miss Hitmon rolled 2 6-sided dice: 5, 2 Total: 8 (2-12) 5 is an odd number, so it didn't hit. Disregard the 2, it does nothing. EXTREME SNOWBALL LAUNCHER 5000 Roll two 8-sided dice. The first dice is the amount of damage you deal to your opponent. The second dice is the unfortunate backlash done to you. Example A Hit Hitmon rolled 2 8-sided dice: 3, 6 Total: 9 (2-16) Damage done to opponent: 3 Damage done to self: 6 This weapon never misses. It will ALWAYS hit your opponent AND yourself. A Sack Full of Joy Reach in and start bombarding your opponent with random trinkets. Roll 3 6-sided dice. Damage done is the AVERAGE of the numbers rolled. If the total is EVEN, you hit. If the total is ODD, you miss. Examples A Hit Hitmon rolled 3 6-sided dice: 4, 2, 1 Total: 7 (3-18 ) 4+2+1 = 7 7 divided by 3 is 2.3. Round to the nearest number and it's 2. Because 2 is an even number, it resulted in a hit for 2 damage. A Miss Hitmon rolled 3 6-sided dice: 3, 3, 4 Total: 10 (3-18 ) 3+3+4 = 10 10 divided by 3 is 3.3. Round to the nearest number and it's 3. Because 3 is an odd number, it resulted in a miss. Yellow Snow Do not eat. ---SUPPORT--- Tangled Christmas Lights Chuck the ball of tangled lights at your opponent. Roll 1 6-sided dice. If odd you missed. If even, your opponent can't move for one turn. Examples A Hit Hitmon rolled 1 6-sided dice: 4 Total: 3 (1-6) 4 is an even number, so it hit! Your opponent cannot move for one turn. Except by the time your opponent frees themselves, the lights are too smashed to use again. A Miss Hitmon rolled 1 6-sided dice: 5 Total: 5 (1-6) 5 is an odd number, so it didn't missed. Your lights bounce and roll off to one side before a group of forest critters run up and steal the lights to decorate their own Christmas tree with. Carol of the Bells It's a bell. Ring it and restore someone's HP by rolling 1 8-sided dice. Example Hitmon rolled 1 8-sided dice: 7 Total: 7 (1-8 ) Hitmon has healed somebody for 7 HP, either themselves or another person. The bells cannot miss

Cyrilla listened to the gnomes give a half assed explanation about... well... elves. She groaned. Her desire to punt the gnomes themselves was almost as great as her desire to just get the jack out of dodge, really.
She looked back as Merope was heading in behind her. The dracolich wasn't sure why she'd decided on the pink door. It had been the first she'd noticed, and she supposed she just stuck with it based on that figure.
Her eyes scanned the area for elves, or any trace of Sandy Claws himself. It seemed alright for the time being. All they had to do was keep quiet and hidden.
Cyrilla stared at her friend, then, suddenly wondering how they were going to use any form of stealth with an eight foot, glowing dragon in the mix.
"... Well Jack..."((Cyrilla has 18 HP))

"CYRRRRRR!" Merope scurried through the door as quickly as he could, nearly running over several gnomes in the process. "CYR! Why did you pick pink!? You're challenging what masculinity I have left!" If the dragon could pout, he would. Instead, he did his best to give her puppy-eyes. But... well. Looked like there was no way out for him, what with the door now closed and him unable to open them and everything. Stupid limbs made for swimming! "Well. Uh," he began after a moment's pause as he looked around the area, "How is everyone?" (( Merope has 17 HP ))

"Don't be silly, Mero. We both know you lost all that eons ago." there was a grin plastered to the girl's face. "Okay sorry, I don't actually know why I picked it. Saw it first. Went with it." she shrugged.
"And hey, I'm a ghoul and I dislike pink too." her grin quickly flipped to a frown. "It's so... joyful." her nose wrinkled. "Least in the way it's used here."
"Hopefully this is just a quick in and out. Then we can go back to the academy." she thought for a moment, "Well, I hope so anyways. Those train cars were pretty messed up where we left them." the dracolich had started walking along as she spoke with her friend.

Pbbbbbbbt! went the lost fathoms leviathan at the dracolich in response. Yep. Any masculinity and maturity gained while he was alive has been replaced with immaturity.
"Sure, suuuure, so you claim!" He teased, nudging her with a finned elbow. "You picked this door because it was shinier than the others. At least it looked that way to me," he added, his eyes seeming to dim as he considered this. "Then again, that yellow door... Wasn't there yellow snow earlier telling us not to eat it? Wonder if there's any connection between that door and this."
Merope trailed off, looking around. "Yeeeah. The train was pretty wrecked, but what did the gnome say about loot? How are we supposed to carry it?" He paused, then added, "Aside from piling it all on me and expecting me to haul it all out, that is."

A quick laugh escaped the dracolich as the leviathan nudged her. Reaching back she patted his nose, not unlike what one would see do with a horse.
"Hey now! I don't always pick the shi..." she looked at the boil, and quickly zipped the lip. Yeah, she couldn't really deny that one. Not even a little bit.
"Pink isn't shiny, you know." she stuck her tongue out, then threw him the sort of look of 'well, crap.'
"Guess you kind of answered that one on your own. Somehow I don't think any of this was thought too well through." she shrugged her shoulders. "I guess we can just be lucky that you are in that form, as far as looting goes. Because, I don't know about you, be a pain in the a** to both be stuck humanoid doing this. Trust me, I'd rather be in your position."

The dragon boy said nothing as he was patted on the still flesh-covered nose, but an unmistakable smirk covered his half-fleshy, half-boney face as he gave a triumphant "HA!"
"Well the pink looked shiny to me, so nyyyaaaah!" He stuck his tongue right back out at her.
He huffed a sigh as she had a fairly good point. "I dunno man. I'm not built for walking, and last I checked this has been nothing but walking. Aside from that stupid fake candy-pole and when I got attacked, but... Yeeeah, I think if I wasn't undead, I'd still be back in the forest trying to crawl around." He huffed a sigh, nudging one of her wings, "At least you have wings that allow you flight. Then again... you can fly, right? Or are they just for swimming, like mine?"

Flexing her wings, Cyrilla looked at them. "Actually both. I use them to help propel in the water." she tugged gently at the membrane between the bones in in wings. "But I can fly with them too. M'kind of in the same boat as you otherwise. Walking is not my forte. Got the arms, no legs." she looked at the boil's arms.
"My arm's aren't so stubby though." she quipped. It wasn't meant as an insult, simply a fact.
Cyrilla ran a hand through her hair. For all the complaints she had about not being in her true form, she was rather fond of having the legs for moving about. Flying was tiring. Walking was like a completely different experience from what she was used to, and it was an interesting change of pace, to say the least.
"As for the rest of that, guess it's a good thing you're undead then." she used her wings to poke back at his nudging.
"Because I'd really hate to have to be pushing your a** along."

Merope tilted his head to one side and narrowed his eyes as he thought. "I honestly don't remem-- wait! Yes! I remember now! I thought you were pretty small for one of my kind -- I thought someone stole your limbs." He shuddered, "Not a pleasant feeling, that. At least on land it seems nobody does that particular practice."
At her reply, Merope laughed. "You should talk to Mei, then!" He replied, "She actually did have to help pull me out from a tight squeeze. Stupid trees! I guess there's advantages and disadvantages to all sorts of forms, huh?"

"Well, not being one of your kind likely had a lot to do with that. Though I think I would have had better luck explaining that to a rock, over you. It took, what, two weeks for you to finally realize 'oh hey, I guess you aren't a leviathan after all!' heh. I can't complain though, it was nice to travel with someone else." she paused.
"Even if he did ditch me later on." Yeah, he was never going to live that one down. At least she didn't seem honestly upset by it, more having fun ribbing him over the whole ordeal.
"Aww, poor Mei. She's so little, that must have been hard. I mean, you're small, but you're still bigger than most people. Only one I've seen bigger was that red dragon dude. And even then, not much." she shrugged.
"Oh well, between the two of us we have a good range of size for any problems we may come across. Just try not to get stuck on anything again."

"But you were tiny!" He exclaimed, "And you kinda sorta had this look about you. Not my fault the lost-fathoms leviathans like to vary their appearances." Like his granddad Goeway. He liked his granddad, even if he was addled to the point where he only bubbled "Goeway" from time to time when Merope spoke to him. Long teeth, orange slashes, and claws that a crab would be envious of? Yep, that was his granddad, and he had a mean pinch to boot! He wondered how he was doing.
Either way, Merope stuck his tongue out for a third time at the dracolich. "Pbbt! As I recall, you're the one who ditched me in the first place!"

"I was not tiny! I was a lot bigger than you are now!" Cyrilla shot back. "Besides, I hadn't finished growing yet! Err." she thought back to just how large Merope had been. "Though I... don't think I would ever have gotten as large as you. It's a shame you shrunk so much. I'm pretty sure you could have just rolled over this town otherwise." she laughed at the thought.
As Merope stuck out his tongue at her, again, Cyrilla reached out and grabbed onto it. "Don't you remember what happened last time you stuck your tongue out where it didn't belong?"

"Tiny to meee! Tiny! Tiny! Tiny!" He laughed until his tongue was grabbed, forcing his head down to meet her and eye-level. "Aii onnge," he began solemnly, "heeonged aair it aas. Aht oole innit!"
Either he was protesting about where his tongue was currently, or he was agreeing with Cyrilla. She still had his tongue either way.

The dracolich released the lost fathom's tongue, and continued to walk on. She didn't say anything more on that subject, he seemed to get the point, at the very least.
Well, at least that's what she'd gathered from his garbled speech.
"Okay let's just see what we can find here anyways." with this the ghoul started poking around objects that she likely shouldn't have. "There's got to be some neat things, I mean, just look at all this stuff!"
