♀♥♀Your Mama aint New York... You got to bring your own sun... Spread that fla-flavor... Yes she's bold, bold enough... To get off he cries "slutty goth" ... The night is opening, our angels are falling... Opheilia you must...
This journal shall be an extension of my blog: http://dayhawk68.livejournal.com
However, this will be a more in depth look into my writing process, progress, and imagination.
Currently, I am working on my novel The Maiden Knight of Etny and am taking it a bit too slow. Slower than I should.
So...
I have come up with a schedule that I hope to accomplish everyday. But I'm sure I'll need the encouragement. My current environment is not too filled with support I'm afraid.
But enough about that. Here is the schedule:
Schedule
If you would like to read the Maiden Knight of Etny please message me. I will be talking about other stories as well, if you like to read them, again, message me.
...She's pure Tennessee. ...enough for everyone, Welcome to England. ...icing fla-flavor. ...to set fire to your plain. ...But I'm a brightly colored person. ...and they'll warm us, right now, right here. ...break the chain. ♀♥♀

Well, the schedule is more difficult at keeping than expected., but this maybe because I spend most of my time trying to pay the bills. I am hopeful, though, that my time won't taken up so much.
Maybe I just need more support. You know, a good kick in the pants.
Oh well.
I am researching for another story, a story that starts in the 1300s then jumps to the 1600s and goes through the times up until the year 2090. There will be a lot of researching involved. I am thinking of making it my SuWriMos novel. We'll see smile

I am here to be encouragment! And a pixelated kick in the butt to get going.
Writing schedules are always hard to keep, even if you're not busy with that thing we call 'life'. And bills are another whole category of their own.
All that research you're going to have to do just made my head swim. I'm also writing a period novel, but its staying in the same place- and thats enough research on its own. I hope you're sucessful. Tell me if you find any amazing research tools/sources/etc.
I've heard of SuWriMo before, but I'm not exactly sure what it is. I could go look it up, but for the sake of conversation, I am asking you instead.

SuWriMos is Gaia's NaNoWriMo equivalent. You write 50k words in a month for NaNoWriMo but for SuWriMos you set your own goal. Last summer I did 25k, and this summer I'm thinking of setting a higher goal.
Thank you! I needed that wink
Nice! Yeah it's going to be tough but I need only so much information. Because each period will have a few scenes. But even still I'll need as much info as possible. And I will let you know wink

Thats fantastic! You're very welcome- here's another kick, just for good measure. How many chapters do you plan on writing? When I write, I never think about chapters... I figure I'll sort them out later. Which is kind of funny, because chapters seem like a good organization/planning tool, and I am all about organization and planning.

I like to give an estimate amount of chapters. Make them seem like goals. Right now I'm thinking this novel will be 20 or 21 chapters long. But it seems it may be split up a bit more. I don't expect to have exactly 20 chapters by the time I send it off.

20 chapters is a pretty normal number. Most of the books I read are between 18 and 25. Do your chapters tend to run longer or shorter? I'm pretty sure I'm going to be one of those writers who has 30 page chapters. And even then, my book will probably end up having 30 chapters... I know how it is; as you get more in depth in your writing, you realize all these parts and pieces you can, and should, put in... it just becomes so extended. When I was doing NaNoWriMo, I realized that the ending I had planned was going to take another 10,000 words to finish. However, because I was so burned out with that paticular story, I just wrapped it up in 2,000. Yes, very lame, but so was the rest of the book.

Yeah I've done that. I had a short story that was due for creative writing class, and though the end was going to be longer, i had no time to finish it all. So I bs it bad. lol
Yeah my chapters tend to run pretty long. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. my bff writes her chapters in an instant because their so short. lol
