Kaym'itan slipped into Mother Tree on silent paws, careful not to disturb the other lions around him. It was near false dawn, and he was just returning from his long night of patrol. He was hungry, and feeling the long chase after a rogue feline who had entered the borders of their lands in every one of his muscles. He'd driven the stranger out, but he would report it to Rajanya before he found his hammock, and perhaps Turuk as well.
Shaking his shaggy head, Kaymitan stepped into the eating area and selected a decent portion of meat the Hunters had brought in the day before. Grabbing it in his powerful jaws, he moved over to a quiet out of the way place where he could eat and watch his Pride wake and prepare for the day ahead.
Watching them reminded him that The People were still here, still alive, still loved by Eywa. It gave him much needed hope, and it steeled his resolve to not allow anything, nor anyone, harm them while there was still breath in his body and power in his claws.

Zelt'sin was always up to strange things during strange hours. She never knew what to do with herself during these hours and when she was awake she always found it hard to settle and sleep. She looked at her sleeping mate and smile before licking his nose gently before wandering out of the den. She always found herself doing something when everyone else was sleeping and she loved it. There were a good few in the pride that thought she was pretty strange, that was one thing that was very true, she knew that is was very, very true.
So she found herself following around this male for the moment, she was curious about what she was doing, she liked to know what her pride mates were doing and she knew that the male was a guard, she knew a lot about the others in the pride. Or at least she knew their names and what they liked to do. But one thing was for sure she wanted to get to know all of the members of the pride. She was going to talk to him see if there was anything interesting going on around the pride. "Hello!" She called out with a smile on her face. "How are you?" she questioned curiously moving her way on the side of the lion.
She didn't see anything wrong with her methods, but she was still very curious about the male a smile was still on her face she was hoping the male would return her friendly greeting though that was for sure.

Kaym'itan brought his head up from his meal, his crimson eyes watching his Queen approach. Licking his muzzle clean, he stood and stepped forward as she called out. He touched his paw to his forehead, before he bowed to her, "Oel ngati kameie my Queen."
His deep rumbled voice was filled with respect as he spoke to her, his stance relaxed and gaze calm. Kaym'itan served the People, and thus served his Queen, and should she choose to speak to him, or have a task for him to do, he would do either willingly.
" How may I be of service this morning?" The large lion asked, coming to meet her before she had to step delicate paw to the eating ground and the offal left from previous diners.

Zelt nodded to the male and then smiled softy. Company was exciting and she was glad to see that the male seemed very welcome to her company, this was, very, very nice to her. She flicked her hair out of her eyes before she spoke again. "I see you." She said simply before she wiggled her toes around in the ground. She paused for a few moments thinking as she did trying to figure out what she was going to say to the male, this was a very spontaneous encounter she was dealing with.
"Not really." She chuckled was thinking once again before she spoke "You know one thing you could do is give me a nice conversation and some company." She nodded and then smiled even more. "Is there anything that you want to do? Because I'll go do something else if thats what you want." She chuckled again at the idea and smiled more. She was always a happy lioness.

Kaym'itan gave a low chuckle, amused by the Queen's openness. She was certainly very different then the other one's of his memory. Maybe her innocence was exactly what they needed now that they were starting over as a People.
Inclining his head to her, he fell into step beside her, " I know of a place just outside of HomeTree's roots where a large colony of Pxiwll are growing. If we are quick, we can harvest some of the seeds. They are sweet and oily, and just about ready to harvest I think. Would you care for a little outing my Queen?" Hermit Bud Plant

Zelt thought for a moment thinking about what she was going to do for the night, she wasn't too sure at all. She wanted to make sure that she didn't have some where else to go or something else to do. She really wasn't sure at all. She shrugged it off, as far as she knew she didn't have to do anything. She grinned before she started to walk. "come! Lead the way It sounds like a lot of fun." She laughed some looking back at the male, this sounded excited she loved the idea of getting to wander around for a little while and spend some time with the members of the pride, she enjoyed that. Reasons like this always made her busy, it's why she was always doing something.

Kaym'itan chuckled in his deep voice, " Fun I am not so sure about, but it should be worth the little work to get to the seeds. If we find enough of them, you can take some to his Majesty. I would wager he has not had any since he was a cub."
The Night Scout lead her past the entrance to Home Tree and back around its large base, crossing over one of the large roots that spanned a clear pool, " Its just up ahead, not to far now."

Zelt'sin thought about it for a moment before speaking to the male again. "I think it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun." She laughed again before nodding at him. "It really is a lot of fun." She grinned before looking at him and nodding again. "I just enjoy doing those kind of things. I like keeping myself busy." It was true she liked to keep herself busy all of the time. She enjoyed it so much more than anything else. "I like finding the seeds." she paused thinking about her mate again before laughing some. "I do think that he really would enjoy it." she chirped in her bright voice before speaking to him again. "Not many do." she nodded at the idea before looking around.
She had a feeling they were getting close. She grinned and started to trot a little faster slightly ahead of him looking around at her surroundings then spoke once again. "I remember coming here a lot when I was a kid."[/size]

Kaym'itan chuckled in his deep, rumbly voice, pleased that his Queen seemed to be enjoying herself, " You and I are close in age, I bet we had the same Sitter. Na'lian used to bring us here all the time when she knew the seeds would be ripe."
A warm smile spread across his often too serious expression when he thought about that long ago time, and he sent a silent prayer to Eywa to watch over Na'lian where she rested within the Tree of Souls.
He slowed his pace, letting the Queen run ahead to begin to search for the seeds, simply enjoying the quiet of the jungle and her company.

Zelt looked at the male and then nodded a few times and laughed. "We could have." her voice was as light hearted as ever as she poked around some of the seeds looking for the ripe ones and poking them with her nose checking to see which ones that she would want for later. "You konw, that is when I wasn't being pulled away for lessons." For a matter of a heavier topic her voice was still light and upbeat. She flicked her hair out of her eyes and then grinned at him again. "When I have cubs running around here I'll have to take them here." Oh she would love to share something like this with her cubs. She really would especially since she was raised doing these kind of things and they were the most simple things on to p of that.

The Night Scout smiled at his Queen, enjoying her cub like delight with the simple act of gathering the seeds. Perhaps the Pride was healing, and perhaps with it, so could he.
He walked over to one of the plants, and gently began to pull the seeds from their pod with his teeth, working each on carefully so not to damage them. He seemed to remember it being much easier as a cub, but then, his mouth and teeth were much smaller.
Smiling to himself, he wondered if that was why the Sitters would bring them to gather the seeds? Giving them something to do, and the Pride a sweet treat. He wouldn't have put it past them.
