Out of all the games we have played, many times there's been a boss fight. Maybe they were a pushover and not worthy of being called a "boss", or they were so strong that it took us days/weeks/months to beat it.
Who's your favorite boss, from what game, and why?

On Kingdom Hearts 2 the final boss Xemnas. There was so many lvs to actually beat him. He wasn't hard, not even on proud mode. I'd like kiking his butt in Final Form. Then when ur alone with Riku is where the real fun starts. It takes so long to actually hit him. Then when he's almost dead you have deflect like 5000 lasers, EPIC! Then best of all you can finally play Riku.

My favorite boss would probably be Ganon/Gannondorf from Twilight Princess. It kinda put together everything that Link learned in the game in one three part battle. Plus the horse back combat was EPIC!!
Second fave is Chaos from FF1 just due to his Toughness(one spell one hit kills the whole party...)

Some of my favorite boss fights are: Braska's Final Aeon from FF10. Sure, he's not too hard to beat if you have the ultimate weapons/went around a large portion of the sphere grid, but just listening to the fight music always made the fight enjoyable for me. Another good boss fight was against Angelo Credo in DMC4. Again, not too hard, but an intresting fight. If you fight him as Nero, you can use your Buster attack to grab his spear when he throws it... and then BACK AT HIM! I had never experienced a true boss battle until I got into JRPG's.
Final Fantasy XIII had many good...and difficult...boss battles. There was a lot in that game that I would NEVER HAVE BEATEN if i didn't look it up on the internet.
Some of the bosses constantly regenerated health or had multiple body parts to be taken out.
Also, some of the battles you didn't even have to kill them to win...you had to increase this special bar by doing certain special attacks and combos that the boss was weak towards...but you had to figure out the weaknesses AND perform attacks against them before the gestalt meter went all the way done...quite tricky in my opinion. If you're confused, it's a bit hard to explain the battling system but I can say that FF XIII has some the richest boss battles I have ever experienced.
Also, the game I am currently playing, MagnaCarta 2, has some very good boss battles.
Lastly, I will never forget the battle with Andross on Star Fox 64. Not only do I use quotes from that battle but I still remember it!!!
Also, I have played many other boss battles that exactly replicate this battle just with different characters...

Nemesis in Resident Evil 3 was a great boss. You fight him throughout the whole game then when you finally fight him on the rooftop and kill him for good...he changes forms.What form does he take? None other than UBER TENTACLE RAPE MONSTER OF HELL!!!
But really any RE final boss (except Weskar who was WAY to easy) is a challenge.
Also Sauron from LOTR The Third Age is very challenging. He has well over a mil in HP and has crazy high defense. Add that with his constant use of darkest fear and a health sucking spell that hits the whole party and you've got yourself a challenge.

How about the Lich King from WoW? Not any raid can take him down...my brother did it but it takes a lot of coordination...rather than idiots arguing.

I also like the final boss fight in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess especially when Im Wolf Link and I get to bite Gannondorf pig form

Only thing that I can think up of for the moment would be the Maiden Astraea boss fight in Demon's Souls. Most of the other bosses in the game don't have much emotional motive or anything. Just plain out get through the fog door and beat the living crap out of it and move on.

Probably the Armoros Manifest from SO: a new Hope. I thought it was gonna be all tough from the look of it, but it turns out all you have to do is blindside, and the boss becomes a giant joke.

Ah, I personally enjoyed the final battle with sorceress Ultimecia at the end of Final Fantasy VIII. It was a four-part boss fight and each time, it just got harder and harder. The music continued to change each time and the theme of Ultimecia at the end is just an orgasm to my ears. The fight was challenging enough, too; even if you levelled all the way to 100, if you didn't do so properly, the fight would still be hard. I liked it that way.
By the way, I'm an Ultimecia super-nerdy-fanboy of doom, so that also contributed to it. ;P

Plus, the battle music is epic xD gotta agree with you on this one, final boss is pretty badass. plus the fact that he charmed aigis when i had him down to almost no hp and then she healed him for max hp. i was like NO YOU PIECE A s**t YOU DIE TODAY! and then i beat him and was like OMG YESSSSSSSSS!
