Lumiere's choice of clothes today hadn't been the warmest. It might have been if Lumiere had kept the jacket she modeled earlier that day on but that had been for a shoot, not for daily use. Her breathing turned to white vapor, walking forward.
She needed to pass through an unfrequented area to get to her home, her stylish scarf wrapped around her neck and jacket tugged closer to her body. Her long blue hair flowed behind her, as cold as the wind that blew through it.
However, Lumiere's expression remained unfazed, mouth set in a small frown, purple eyes staring straight ahead. Her pace was brisk and straight posture had her tipping her chin high. What was her priority for the day was to get into her warm house, with a cozy blanket and fire, accompanied with her erhu and a cup of hot cocoa.

This place - whatever it was - was amazing, Givre had quickly decided. Everything was new ! Everything was amazing ! There were so many surfaces to cover in frost and ice ! Oh, she simply couldn't have landed anywhere more interesting, she had quickly decided.
Not that she knew about anywhere else.
Or where she had come from, on that matter.
There was an almost child-like giggle as Givre twirled past Lumiere, frosting the side of the buildings whenever she danced by. Oh, this was so much better this way !

A gentle chill hit Lumiere as something blue passed by-- Normally, Lumiere might have ignored this incident. Except for the fact that it was an especially odd shade of blue, clear like ice. Pruple eyes widened as she realized the bench she had only passed seconds previously was now frosted over with a layer of ice, an impossibility in the span of only a moment.
A giggle echoed behind her, Lumiere's hand reached shaprly out to catch the wrist of .. Well, she didn't know what she caught. Lumiere's eyes widened, trying to identify the .. being before her. Normally, things that occurred in Destiny city was enough to raise a brow (terrorists, the dead crashing balls and so forth) but this was really raising the bar.
About sky-high.
Because this female.. looked more like a nymph in legends rather than a person. But here she was, in front of Lumiere.
".. What are you?"

Something caught her.
Givre yelped, skidding to an halt - it was one of those... humans, was what what they were called ? She heard the word once or twice, anyway, and it seemed to fit. And now one of these humans had caught her, and she wasn't sure she liked this.
"Im a snow dancer !" She yelped. "P-please let me go !" No, she really didn't like the feeling of being held captive, no matter how lightly. "Im not gonna run away, promises !"

"Snow.. dancer?" Her voice was questioning, lips tightening as the other proceeded to whine in a most-annoying manner. Immediately, Lumiere's grip was released, an obvious hostile look being sent to the scared dancer. Lumiere's hand was freezing-- she glanced down at her numb palm, finding it difficult to move her fingers.
.. What?
"What an crude sound. Haven't your elders taught you any better than to act like a child? Prancing around like that-- You're not exactlly common in this city." This was only the slightly annoyed version of the model, one hand on hips, addressing the other. Her tone was haughty, brown eyes glaring at the snowdancer. She was cold. Lumiere hated the cold. By extension, this snowdancer was included in this circle of dislike.
"Explain to me, your snowdancer business. Your presence chills me. I assure you, you haven't made a good impression yet but I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself."

At least she was released, and it was all that truly mattered to Givre at the moment - sure enough she did not run away, just as she had promised, though she skated back a step, just in case.
This human was kind of mean !
"My... elders ?" What was an elder ? Uh. "Im sorry ?" Hey, she tried. Kind of. Maybe,
If she had known more about the world, perhaps she would have said that Lumiere herself hadn't made a good first impression by grapping her in the first place, but as it was, Givre was blissfully unaware. But still, what was her buisness ? "I just want to make the town all pretty." At least she wasn't whining anymore.

"All pretty?" Lumiere tilted her head, staring at the scenery around. A snowdancer.. Were they the cause of Destiny City's recent weather? Her purple eyes regarded the other with a slight amount of suspicion.
As long as she didn't freeze over Lumiere or her home, the girl wasn't a threat.
She crossed her arms, shaking her head. "Listen closely and listen well. While I regard you as a mere annoyance, people aren't going to take you lightly like I did. Don't let others grab you like I did because next time, they won't let go." She stepped forward to pull at the other's cheeks, both hands pulling the snowdancer's cheeks quite harshly.
"Watch, they'll take you somewhere and lock you up. Are you listening to what I'm saying?" Lumiere warned, a wicked smile now adorned her expression as she tugged a little harder. "It's polite to answer and say yes, you snow fairy."

At that moment, Givre was very acutely aware on one thing.
She really, really, really didn't like this girl touching her ! It hurt ! She'd done nothing to deserve getting hurt ! At all ! However, asking her to let her go had caused this, so it seemed useless to ask a second time.
"Yes." She answered. This was that she wanted, right ?

"Ok, I've gotten my point across." Lumiere nodded, just a little satisfied. This snowdancer definitely knew how to shape up-- she was improving already. Lumiere offered her a small smile this time, extending her hand.
"I've imposed on your time greatly. Since you've taught me something fascinating of Destiny City's weather, might I buy you something in return? An equal trade, you could say. Would you prefer something cold or warm?" She pointed to the convenience store across the street, it's sign lit up brightly. Lumiere would have liked something to warm her hands as well-- home could wait.

A-Ah ? This was better, this was better indeed ! The blue haired girl wasn't so scary anymore, which meant that all was good in Givre's world as long as she didn't start being scary again.
When Lumiere extended her hand, she gave her own in return, doing her best to just go with the flow. Hopefully this one wouldn't hurt.
"Oh, it's not a bother." The pale girl said with a wide, cheerful smile. "Ah, something cold, please ? If you don't mind."

They had been sitting on the bench for a little while when Lumiere's phone rang inside of her purse. She picked up the phone call briskly, one could hurry a flurry of voices at the other end.
".. yes. I know. Mama, I'll be home in time for Christmas." Her subdued tone and passive expression indicated no cheer or merry emotion. after a few more seconds, the phone was closed and tucked back into her purse. She unfolded her stature from her sitting position, bowing slightly to Givre.
"I'll be taking my leave. Be careful now." She warned, giving Givre a cautious smile. But she doubted the figure would stop skating publicly.

Givre had ended up actually enjoying herself after a bit, and she was sad to see Lumiere leave. "You be careful too, miss !" She said, before watching the blue-haired girl leave.
And then, predictably, she skated off.
