Once again, Kota had become lost again. He was no longer within the borders of the Bahari. Lost in his thought, he had continued to walk along the beach mindlessly. When he finally came to his senses, he was miles from home.
He looked around, not recognizing anything. After a few moments, he shrugged, and laid down in the wet sand, giving his paws a rest from his journey.
Nyota just finished eating fish, she was never to fond of it. Fish wasn't real food, even though Tsu would catch enough to satisfy her, it wasn't REAL meat. She made her was along the beach it was so long since she could hear herself think because of all the constant bickering between Tsu and Roho about how fish is or isn't meat. Nyota would normally go and catch a small meat to satisfy her craving for the meaty goodness but she was to lazy to hunt today, she hunted for the others for a few days. She need a break today day.
Kota's ears perked when he heard the soft sound of paws across sand. He opened his eyes and looked over to see a dark lioness. He tilted his head to the side with curiosity.
He slowly stood up, his legs aching slightly as he did so. "Hello." She seemed friendly enough. Lets just hope he was right. He wasn't able to hold himself in a fight. Not now atleast.
Nyota smiled slightly as she made her way to the lion. She sat a few feet in front of him, he looked tired. Perhaps he was hungry; if he was she would catch a fish or few form him. Tsu was traing her and she was really getting good at it. She's actually gotten used to the water and she found the crashing of the waves quite soothing.
"Hi ya" Nyota said her tone quite cheerful. "What bring you to these parts?" Nyota never really saw anyone so close to where her and her fellow companions were. It was quite refreshing seeing a new face.
He smiled at her hello. Good, she was friendly. He looked around at her question, "Uh... you know." He looked back to her, "Just walking around." He chuckled lightly, "I'm from the neighboring pride and I guess I got a little lost in my thoughts, and..." He looked back from where he came, "I guess I got a little lost." He smiled as he looked back to her.
"What about you?" he asked as he swayed his tail from side to side, "Are you wandering? Or traveling somewhere?"
She looked at him, he was quite nice. She was glad she met him now instead of when she was very terriotorial. But Tsu helped her show her more genuine caring side; he really helps with a lot of things. "I'm currently just enjoying the view at the beach with some others, were just loatfing about the beach because Tsu likes to surf" She laughed, sadly it was true. Tsu said his group was traveling but so far the farthest she has been was in her hunting.
He laughed lightly, "A surfer? Thats wonderful." He said, "I'm a swimmer myself." He chuckled lightly, "I'm surprised I wasn't born with webbed paws." he lifted one of his paws and shook it lightly.
"I'm Kota." He said, "It's a pleasure to meet you." Maybe this whole getting lost thing wasn't such a bad thing.
She giggled, "Well i might not be a swimmer or surfer but i find the sound of the water to be relaxing" She looked out across the vast ocean. She's gotten used to water, well shes only ever gotten her paws wet. "Im Nyota and the pleasure is mine"
He nodded, "It tends to do that." he said as he followed her gaze, "I tend to find myself drawn to the beach when I can't sleep, or if I have something on my mind." He thought once again about Aphrodite. "The water helps me clear my thoughts." He said as he looked back to Nyota.
Nyota smiled, she understood what Kota meant. For some reason lately she kept thinking of an old promise made as a cub. It's been so long since she conversed with another male. Tsu was always like a father figure to her. Besides she just wasn't ready to let go of him... the one who truly held the key to her lonely heart, she just wondered when he would return, but he promised to return and she held his words closest to her heart.
She looked back to the male. "Are you hungry? Would you like me to help you find your way back?" She smiled; Nyota would have no problem showing him around, sadly this was the only place she has ever live was by the beach. Even as a cub she could always hear the crashing of the was and the smell of the sea air.
He nodded, "Sure, I'd like the company." He said as he smiled, and slowly got to his feet. "Thank you." He smiled as he turned, and waited for the dark female to join him.
His legs still a bit sore, but he was glad. He had met someone new, and who knows, maybe she would be a new member to the pride, along with the others she was traveling with. She did seem to have the same love he did for being near the ocean. Maybe he found another swimming companion.
Nyota smiled as she began walking in the direction she believed him to have come from. " Which pride do you live in?" She knew the majoity of them around the ocean. It was her home after all, this was all she's known since she was a cub. What she didnt know however wass that she would meet someone so friendly. All she's ever known where people she loved and cared about leaving her or dying.... Her mother, Zu, Gin... but ever since she met Tsu he's been showing her what its like to be well... loved...
She couldn't help but laugh as she remembered when she first met Tsu; shes grown so much. She was actually quite proud of herself.
He looked down to her as they walked, "The Bahari'mtoto. It's a pride not far from here. We live near the ocean, my den is right on the beach." He smiled as they continued to walk. "You and your friends might like it there." He said as he looked forward. "Hopefully I didn't walk too far." He laughed a little, "I hadn't been paying any attention when I was walking." He looked up to the sky, "But the sun is still high, so I hadn't of walked too far."
She smiled, she knew exactly where it was. " No your not far, its only a short walk away."
She thought about it, maybe she would join the pride, but probably not anytime soon, she still waited for HIM to return, till then she knew she would never strayto far. Sure maybe she was a hopless romantic but she had hope."Maybe some day i'll visit you." She looked at him and smiled, it was probably one of her biggest smiles.
She began walking in the direction of the pride, "Perhaps if i distract you from the walk, we'll be there in no time or maybe i should just let you wonder in your own thoughts." she giggled jokingly.

He looked back to her and smiled, "I'd like that." He said, tail flicking from side to side. "Maybe then you could meet my brothers and sister too. I'm sure they'd like you. They're swimmers too, but not as good as me." He laughed. "Distractions are always good." He looked up to the sky, "I was thinking too much on my way over here. It's why I got lost."
Nyota smiled."I would like that." She looked across the hoizon before looking at Kota. "Is it nice having siblings?" Her tone was a tad bit melancholy and curious. Nyota grew up and only child. She knew nothing of the horrible fate that took away her siblings. "Besides, getting lost wasnt so bad' you met a new friend after all." She let a big smile grow across her muzzle as she looked at her new friend.
He shrugged, "I guess. I don't get along with them much anymore. We kind of grew apart. They were fun to mess around with when we were cubs though." He laughed and looked back over to her. "Yeah, your right. I did meet a new friend." He said as he laughed
Nyota smiled at him. "This is where i must part with you."Nyota said as she and Kota reached the border of the pride lands she was sad to see her friend go but she hoped that someday in the near future she can see him one again. Maybe she might even join the pride in the future.
He nodded as he took a few steps into his pride lands. He turned to face her and smiled, glad he made the journey all the way out here. "Thank you, Nyota, for the company. Maybe I'll see you on this side of the Bahari someday." He smiled and with a nod, headed back to his den, never forgetting the blue lioness he had made friends with.
