May is a new girl at Brickmill. She rarely talks, making most people think she can't, never shows emotion, and she's beautiful. So beautiful, in fact, that one of the most popular guys in school takes notice of her. Being the flirt he is, he attempts to win her heart. Can he succeed? And what if, along the way, he really does fall for her? Will May feel the same way? Is it possible for true love to blossom between the emotionless girl and the popular kid?

(Yay. :3)
It was a beautiful sunny day, with barely a cloud in the pure, light blue sky. There was a slight, relaxing breeze, but nothing too major. The birds were singing, mowers were growling, flowers were swaying in the wind, bees were buzzing; the day was perfect. And where was May? Cooped up inside school-the last place she wanted to be. What made it worse, she was new there.
She put her books away in her locker, her face expressionless as usual. A boy walked up to her, smirking to himself. He leaned against the wall, as if he were a popular, cool kid. "Hey baby, don't think I've seen you around here. I reckon you're pretty lonely, being a new student and all. How about I show you around?" May closed her locker and walked away, not showing any sign that she had seen him. Surprised but determined, the boy followed and caught up, walking instep with her. "Silent type, eh? I don't mind. What's your name, cutie? I'm Alex." May looked at him, still walking. "May." she said quietly, "Now get lost." Alex stopped walking as May continued on her way, leaving him dumbfounded.

((Forgot to mention: Edgar is from Spring, Texas, so he has a slight drawl as well as a southern accent)) ~~Edgar Johnson~~ "I sing to life and it‘s tragic beauty. To pain and to strife, and to all that dances through me…" Edgar came up behind Alex and clapped him on the back.
"What'd you do now, bro? I know that look. You got rejected. Who was it this time?"
While he was joking around, he was seriously worried about his friend. Poor guy had horrible luck with women. That was why Edgar took him under his wing, to try and increase his luck.

(Wait, but I just introduced Alex. Confused....)
"I dunno." said the guy who had just gotten rejected, apparently named Alex from what he told May. "Some new girl. She said her name was May, and then told me to get lost." He didn't bother to keep the disappointment from his voice.
Another guy started walking with May, and got pushed away too. The third guy litteraly got pushed away; he got hit in the face by a door, actually.
"At least it's not just me this time. No one else seems to be having much luck with her, either."

"I can see that. Reminds me of the chick from "10 Things I Hate About You.' Vicious thing, ain't she? Well bro, you sure do know how to pick em."
The bell, rang, signifying the start of the school day.
"Well, time for class. See ya 'round."
Edgar shifted hisbag to his right shoulder and went to his first class, wonder what the school year would be like, as it was his last.

May was already there, sitting in the back of the class with her book on her desk. "Take your seats, children." said Mrs. Yema dismissively, "Class will be starting shortly."

To pain and to strife, and to all that dances through me…" Edgar sat right in the center of the classroom, winking at Ashley, the ex girlfriend of his who still had feelings for him. She blushed and quickly turned away, giggling, her blonde hair flashing in the flourescent lighting.
"See bro? You just gotta know how to handle a woman. They're not as complicated as most guys tend to think. you just gotta make 'em feel wanted. Make em feel loved. That way they know you're a decent guy, and not some douchecanoe. Most girls tire of douchecanoes pretty quick."
He loved the term "douchecanoe," an insult he'd picked up during a trip to Canada, or "Canadia" as Ashley'd called it a few times.

(OMG! This is SO random but I accidently called Canada Canadia one time XD Cause I have this odd thing where I'm like 'Look, just because the Canadians in Texas aren't happy with your donuts' or something like that(cause I'm insane, mind you ^^)and I accidently said 'Don't be silly. Canadians don't live in Canadia, they live in Texas!' XD *dies from not breathing while saying this all in one breath*)
Alex nodded, sitting down next to him. "Still...."
"Class, settle down. Parkinson, I will take that cell phonefrom you if you cannot detach yourself from it. Same goes for you, Avery." said Mrs. Yema, as the two she had been addressing hastily pocketed their phones. "Now class, today we have a new student. Her name is May Chi, and I'd like you all to be nice to her on her first day. Attendance...." She took out a blue folder and a pen. "Avery, Daniel?"
"Here." said Avery.
"Parkinson, Pansy?"
"Present." said Pansy.
"Yaxley, Evan?"
"Here." said Yaxley.
"Nickle, Alexander?"
"Here." Alex said.
"Lestrange, Bellatrix?"
"Here!" said Bellatrix.
"Chi, May?"
"Uh-huh." said May, her face and tone expressionless.
Mrs. Yema went through the rest, some including "Summer, Ashley", which was Edgar's ex, and "Sumo, Chrissy".
"Johnson, Edgar?"

(Coincidentally, I really DO have an ex-fiancee named Ashley. From Minnesota. Called Canada "Canadia." Her last name [I s**t you not] is Cappuccino. Pronounced JUST like the drink. Edgar was busy writing down lyrics, so he simply chunked a deuce in the air aw he wrote. Someone had challenged him to combine Rap and Rock. He accepted, and was almost done. And surprisingly, it was completely clean. The problem was, no one had been able to come up with a beat for it yet.

The teacher nodded, checking off his name. "Yaxley, could you take this up to the office for me?" Evan Yaxley stood and went up to the desk. He took the blue notebook containing the attendance and left. The teacher then stood and began writing on the blackboard. "Today is the third day of semester...."
"Yeah, that's a shock." Pansy whispered to Avery, who snickered.
"And as you know, Principal Withers has retired. Today Miss Nymphadora Tonks has taken his place as principal. She will be visiting each and every classroom, so please do be polite and don't shoot spitballs at her. That means you, Avery." said Mrs. Yema warningly.

He and old man Withers had been on a first name basis. He'd be sad to see the old man leave. He shrugged and looked back down at his paper.
Ah. Tis finished. Still ain't got a name for it, but Challenge Completed. Can't wait for our next gig. This might become an even bigger hit than "Fade Out."
He folded it up and slid it into his pocket, safe until the day was over. He glanced at his watch, noticing that the rules of time were still in effect: School moves slower than the rest of the world. He sighed, then leaned back in his chair, his pale blue eyes survying the entire room, taking a gander that the new girl was in the back.
Typical. Should I have expected anything else from the new kid?

Several students seemed taken aback by the fact that their principal....Well, was young. And her hair was....punkish. May, however, was not. She remained as expressionless looking as ever as she took out her notebook and began writing.

He was clearly unimpressed. Either she was trying to 'be cool,' or she was stuck in the 80's. Either way, he developed an immediate dislike for her.
"Psst! Yo, Alex. What the hell is this lady thinking?"
He kept his voice at a low whisper, one he'd practiced since middle school.
