Log between Summer Rain 07 and Kireiryuu
(Summmer) The large pink lion ran up to the beach after a long morning swim. He sighed and plopped down into the sand, rolling around in the warm grains. He smiled as he looked up to the sky; water dripping off of his mane. It was a perfect day, he didn't see how it could get any better. The sun was shinning, the water was cool, and there was hardly anyone on the beach.
Kota rolled onto his stomach and started to burry his paws in the sand, his tail swaying from side to side in the warmth.
(Kire) After spending some time with her family, she had come to realize that her brother from her litter had found a mate before her! Well, that certainly won't do at all! She had always thought that she'd be the first one to find a mate.
As she wandered around the shoreline, she spotted a familiar figure not too far away. Quietly she made her way over to the male in the hopes of surprising him. In one, switch movement she leapt on him in an attempt to surprise him, "I caught you!"
(Summer) "Woah!" The pink lion coughed as he was pounced. He laughed and looked up, "Wha.. What are you doing here?" He asked as he turned around to look at her. He hadn't expected to see Aphrodite today. "I thought you were going to be with your family all day." He said as he sat up.
He had been wrong. Now the day was perfect.
(Kire) With a wide grin at catching him by surprise, she replied, "Oh I spent as much time as I can with them! There's only so much time in the day that I can be with them before I go crazy!" Of course, it was all in jest, she loved her family dearly.
She rolled off of him and sat in the sand, "I found out my one brother just got a mate and my older brother just had a litter! Can you believe that!|
(Summer) He laughed, "I know what you mean." He said as he looked towards the dens. He loved his family too, but they were just so different. His eyes widened in surprise and he shook his head to get some of the extra water out of his mane. "No way! You're an aunt? How cool!" He had only met her family once, and it wasn't for very long. "I couldn't imagine being an uncle already." He laughed a little
(Kire) With a nod, "Oh yes I am! My big brother had a small litter, two little cubs. I haven't seen them just since they were just born, but I'm sure once they have their eyes open, I'll get to visit." And she didn't want to intrude on her brother's bonding time with his cubs and mate afterall.
She laughs, "I don't know about that! It's such a weird feeling to be call an "aunt" now! I only hope that my other brother does outbeat me now!" She shook her head, "How have you been, Kota? I haven't seen you in a while!"
(Summer) He laughed "Yeah, it's never fun to be beaten by a younger sibling." He remembered having play fights with his younger brothers. It was kind of an unspoken rule that the oldest would win.
He stretched and shrugged, "Oh, you know..." He said as he looked around, "Hanging on the beach, swimming, the usual." He said as he looked back to her and gave her a goofy smile. "You?"
(Kire) "Exactly!" And more so since Poseidon was the only male in her litter.
She couldn't help but to smile warmly at his reply. That sounded just like him afterall! Especially spending time in the water. "Hmm." She paused briefly, "Nothing too interesting, I'm afraid. Met a few outsiders while wandering along the border a while back....but I haven't seen you!" She nudged him playfully, "Hope you weren't avoiding me!"
(Summer) He laughed a little, "Hope there wasn't any trouble with them?" He asked, hoping she didn't get into any fights. "Now why would I ever want to do that?" He asked. "You make me look like the best swimmer in the pride." He said with a winked. It wasn't that he was trying to avoid her, he had just started to spend more time with his dad. With everything going on between him and his mother, he felt that he needed to keep him company sometimes.
(Kire) She snorted and nudge his shoulder, "Oh thanks! I don't know if I should take that as an insult or as a compliment, Kota! And to think, I actually wanted to spend time with you!" She pretended to be offended!
And then shook his head, "Oh no, no trouble! Just strolls and talking mainly, just knowing who they were, what they were up to and if they were staying in the area long. You know, the usual." It was rather boring and tedious at times.
(Summer) He nodded, "Sounds like something I would do." He thought for a moment, "Well, maybe not." He looked back out to the beach, "Unless it was somewhere near the water." He laughed.
"Oh come on Aphrodite, you don't mean that do you?" He asked, looking hurt that she would say something like that. "I thought you liked spending time with me." His lower lip quivered as he tried to hold back a smile.
(Kire) One look at his dejected face made her blink and droop her ears slightly. She reached forward to touch him gently, "Hey now! Don't give me that face, Kota! Of course I enjoy spending time with you....why else would I spend my time searching for you to be with you?"
And then she blinked as she mumbled shyly, "Or force me to go into the water even when I'm afraid of it so much? I wouldn't do it for my sisters or brothers, that's for sure!!"
(Summer) He smiled lightly, leaning down and licking her cheek lightly, "Awe you know I'm fooling." He said softly.
"Hey! You know I don't force you!" He looked away from her, "Maybe push you a little, but never force." He said as he stood up, wagging his tail from side to side. "Speaking of the water.." He looked back, "Wanna go down to the waves?" His face bright with excitement.
(Kire) She smiled at him, "Yea, yea! You didn't force me....but you sure did try your hardest and I couldn't resist!"
She froze slightly as she paused at his question. The water was still a very touchy subject...not over it completely, but getting better. At least, he'll be there to save her if anything should happen, she told herself. With a slow nod, she replied, "I guess...I guess I should go in with you, since you love it so much."
(Summer) "Great!" He shouted as he jumped over her and bounced over to the waves, splashing into the water, causing water to go everywhere. He turned back to look at her. He had only stopped a few feet in, the water just over the top of his paws. He had a wide smile on his face, his tail swaying from side to side like a cubs.
"Don't worry, it won't bite. I taught it a lesson earlier today." he winked.
(Kire) Very nervous, she nodded as she took a few steps closer to the water. "Are you sure it won't eat me?" She question quietly.
But, she didn't want to disappoint him as she took a step into the water. Her breath was hitched in her throat as she felt he water on her toes. Slowly, she exhaled and looked at him. Standing in the water, she tried not to be so afraid, "I trust you, Kota!"
(Summer) He nodded, "Believe me, if it could, it would have eaten me a long time ago." He said with a smile as he held out a paw for her. He would only take her as far as she wanted to go. He couldn't bring himself to force her into anything she didn't want to.
(Kire) A tentative step forward, it wasn't before long that she was right next to Kota. She was so scared, but tried to not think too much of it! Afterall, Kota was still here and the sea didn't eat him! That had to mean something, right?
She looked at him, "Ok I'm here!" Her tail flicked slightly, spraying some water in Kota's direction as the water was a bit deeper where he was.
(Summer) He laughed lightly when she flicked some water at him. So badly he wanted to repay her with a splash, but he knew her limits, and that was crossing them.
"Okay." He said as he looked around. Beside them, and off into the ocean, "What do you want to do?" he asked as he looked back to her, "You want to stand here for a moment, or do you want to walk down the beach a little?"
(Kire) At his question, she would have wanted to run out of the water and onto the safety of the shore...but she didn't want to be such a coward! That just wouldn't do!
So instead, she opted to lean against him for support as she gazed out into the ocean. It was just so big and vast that she was so scared...but having Kota here helped out so, so much! "We can stay here for a little bit longer...I know you like the water a whole lot, Kota."
(Summer) He smiled and nodded, "Alright, let me know when your ready to go back, kay?" He was glad she was trying. And it made him smile that she was doing this because he liked it.
It made him wonder though. Was he doing too much to her? Was this hurting her more than it was helping? He didn't know if he could live with that kind of guilt. "Are you sure your alright out here?" He asked as he looked down to her, worry in his eyes.
(Kire) She looked up at him and nodded slowly, "Yea I'm fine here..." And then she added softly, "I don't want to go any further though, here is fine." That was the truth. She was getting as comfortable as she could be here, and Kota's presence helped a lot.
After getting as much water as she could handle for one day, she looked up at him, "Ready for the shore? I...am done with the water for today, if that's ok?"
(Summer) He looked back down to her and smiled warmly. "Sure." He nodded as he slowly turned around and helped her to the shore. "I'm really glad you came out today. "He said as they approached dry sand. "You've really made some improvements. I'm really proud of you."
(Kire) At his compliment, she didn't think that her cheeks could get any pinker with the blush that spread across them. She shyly looked at him as she came to the shoreline, "You know, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be going in there unless it was dire. You've done so much to help me, Kota!" And she meant it from the bottom of her heart.
"I can't believe I was in there for so long...I was surprised myself." She was amazed as she looked from the ocean to the pink male again. All because of him. She shook the water from her body slightly as she glanced back at him.
(Summer) He laughed and blushed a little himself, "Naw, I haven't really been doing anything." He said as he looked away from her. He started to get this weird feeling in the bottom of his stomach. "You're the one who's doing all the work. If anything I'm just the jerk who's been pestering you about it all the time." He said as he glanced back to her.
(Kire) She couldn't help but laugh softly at his reply, so like him! A smile lit up her face, "A jerk perhaps, but someone who I want to be with at least!" She stuck her tongue at him in a cheeky manner.
"But really, if you were to tell me that I'd go in the water so far back then, I would have laughed at you and called you crazy!"
(Summer) He laughed, "Your probably right." He said as he sat down in front of her. He can remember the day they met. She was so afraid of the water, she wouldn't even come close to the water. Now she was going into the water. He was so glad that he could help her. He wondered what her parent's would think of her now.
(Kire) She reached out to nudge him gently as she flicked her tail excited, "Come on! Let's go for a walk, I found this really cool place not too long ago and I can show you!"
With a twinkle in her eye, she glanced back at him, waiting for him to follow her so that she can lead the way.
(Summer) He smiled and nodded, "Okay." He smiled as he followed her, curious as to where they were going. He smiled as he trotted up to walk next to her.
He still had that funny feeling in his stomach, and he wasn't sure why.
(Kire) As he came over to her side, she proceeded away from the shoreline and towards the grassy areas. After weaving through a few trees and glancing back to make sure that Kota was following she continued forward.
It didn't take too much longer to get to her favorite spot. But here they were! A nice cliff that slightly looked over the water, from a nice distance above. But what caught her attention the most about this place was the flowers! There were flowers all in the grass that surrounded them. Many colors, but mainly pinks and whites. She smiled as she whipped around to look at him, "Isn't it pretty! There are so many flowers here, and a nice view of the ocean!"
(Summer) He looked around him as they made their way though the trees. He had never been this way before. He smiled as he looked up and saw the sunlight through the trees. He could get used to this place too. The sound of the birds, and the sound the breeze made as it rustled the leaves was relaxing.
He didn't notice they were there till she spoke. He looked over to her and saw the amazing view. His eyes lit up, and his mouth opened wide in his amazement. He couldn't believe it! "Oh wow." he said as he stared. "This is amazing! How ever did you find this place?" He asked as he looked over to her.
(Kire) His reaction made her elated as she replied happily, "I was having a bad day and wandered away from my sister and just happened to stumble upon here. This place instantly cheered me up and I like to come here from time to time."
She smiled brightly at him, "I hope you like it too, so that it'll be out secret place since I haven't seen anyone else here but me!"
(Summer) He looked at her as he walked closer to the edge of the cliff. "I can see why, this place is beautiful." He smiled as he looked back to her. "I'd like that." He smiled as he walked back to her, and nudged her lightly.
(Kire) At his compliment, her cheeks were coated pink with that familiar blush. "Thanks Kota!" It meant a lot to her. At least she was able to show him this place and now he could come here whenever he wanted.
But it was getting late and they should head on out to get food. At least, she was hungry. "Kota! Lets go and get food, I'm getting hungry!" She looked at him.
(Summer) "Your welcome," he smiled, "Me too, I'm staring." He said as he ran over to her, "All that swimming I did earlier really wore me out." He said as they started to walk back, "I could eat a whole antelope." He laughed."

(Kire) She nodded, "Alright, lets go and get some food!" She was raring to go and get her belly full and spend the rest of her day with Kota!
