As gamers, its obvious we will come across puzzles, monsters, button mashing sequences, and so on and so forth. Sometimes they're easy, sometimes they're hard. As a gamer, what was YOUR hardest challenge(s) to overcome?

Trying not to destroy my Shadow the Hedgehog game after beating it because of the extreme disappointment.

Actually, I found the button sequence on the carrier jet fighting Wesker to be a bit tricky.

Oh, that and the....third.....Uroboros fight? with the flame thrower.

That Uroboros fight was annoying on Professional because EVERYTHING it did one-shot my health, and when I was in the dying state, one second= death >_<

My own personal challenge I went through was playing Kingdom Hearts 2 with no abilities, accessories, teammates(disabled all their abilities), having to use Sweet Memories keyblade since it was the weakest, and not fighting UNLESS the game forces you to. With the previous handicap, it basically means you don't level up about 70% of the time. Imagine the Pirates's level with the treasure chest monster.... it was brutal crying

Another was playing Hell or Hell mode in Devil May Cry 4. If you don't know what that mode does, its basically where the enemies one shot you (no matter how much life you have/in devil trigger), but you have to kill them normally. Oh, and they're in DT alot. Gave up after level 3

One of the hardest challenges I've experienced was actually very recent: Getting the stoopid DS microphone to pick up that I'm blowing on it to play those ridiculous notes with my panflute in the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks in time with the other guy playing! UGH. |=(

The second section Ice Realm in Chakan: The Forever Man.

I had to use the invisibility code to beat that game, and I still died fifty times after putting the code in. Forty of those times were on the second section of the Ice Realm.

It is a fun as hell game, especially since you have infinite continues, but... DAYUM, it is by far the hardest game I ever completed.

Description of the section I named:

Massive underground cavern. The entire bottom of the stage is filled with freezing cold, instant-death water. The water has tiny little 'safe' platforms every... two or three screen-lengths apart. Some save, right? There are also little tiny moving platforms between those stationary ones, but... those are even harder to land on.

Anyhow, the entire cavern is full of small, often sloping platforms that are covered in INCREDIBLY slick ice and often have enemies running back and forth on them to cheap-shot you. There is no solid, large surface to rest on in the entire area.

Additionally? You can almost never see far enough below you to tell what you are going to jump down onto... So part of it is trial and error, part of it is extreme reflexes, and part of it is TOTAL BULLSHIT! scream

When I played Resident Evil 4 on professional I had a really hard time with the Krauser fight. I had trouble because I hadn't bought the right gun to fight him. So I'd either die right away or run out of time. It took forever but I finally beat him and made it to the door. But unfortunately my lack of ammo and health made all the levels after even harder to get through.

P.S. Krauser is a jerk. mad

In Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, when you are being chased by the villagers and you have to escape from the hotel and than the village/town thing. It was so hard, so many things you had to do perfectly, and so intense.

That sniper part in Campaign.
If you know what I'm talking about, you know how frustrating that is.

Even harder than FF XII altogether.
