Class was going to start on time. Cadmus was superbly happy he'd not gotten lost with the plants this time. He wiggled over to the class room door and double checked it was unlocked, He rubbed his hadns together overly egar till he saw a clock outside the room. He was late, AGAIN!

He stomped his foot and checked his watch but the times were different, someone... er something had messed with his watch. Cadmus rubbed his head tousling his own hair and propped the door open. He wasn't too far off on the time but still he was late. In his other hand he held a burning cigarette, He snubbed it out and set the partly burned bud into his vest pocket next to the other.

He casually strolled back to the front of the room, awaiting class to begin.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!

Tsetsiliya zipped down the hallway at top speed, cursing herself all the way. How could she have been so stupid?! Stupid, stupid, stupid! She tried to make it a habit to be punctual, but the book had just drawn her in and she'd spent all day reading.. and all night.

The fact of the matter was that she was now late, and she slowed her pace upon entering the classroom. Her headscarf had fallen loose, revealing the puny horns that peeked up from her hair. As she moved past, she busied herself with fixing the headscarf.

"G-good morning," she stammered with rosy cheeks, ducking her head politely as she slid into a seat. She quickly set to work with shuffling her papers together and getting things organized on her desk in order to keep herself from making her embarrassment at being late even more obvious. She was the first one in the classroom though so - she didn't quite dodge that bullet.

Almost warily, Israfel came into the botany classroom, giving the teacher a polite smile and nod of the head before taking a paper from the desk and retreating to his seat off to the far side of the class. Reaching into his bag his white and blue notebook almost flew away from him again, and his thankfully, his pen had been asleep. Small miracles indeed. Looking at the board, he realized it might be of great benifit to take out the text book. When he suddenly noticed the book's author. Was it not-
"Sir?" Israfel raised his hand timidly, curiosity simply driving his need to ask. "Um, not to pry, but, did you write this book sir and-" Israfel's eyebrow raised as earwings fell to the sides of his skull. "...Petrousek?" The name was odd, and he feared he might have butchered it.

Students were slowly coming into class. It was saddening that not many had yet to show up but the class was young yet. Tsetsiliya seemed rushed and flustered.

"Good morning. Glad you could join us this morning." There was no sarcasm in his voice but genuine pleasure.

He rubbed his stubblely cheek, he'd wait till a few more students came in before he actually started the class discussion. He was tickled pink that he was teaching a class on plants and would teach a class on potions once there were students ready to take the class. When Israfel spoke up Cadmus turned to listen to the student. He let out a small chuckle before answering.

"I wrote the book, Petrousek Nicodemus Cadmus is my name in it's main entirety."

Riley slid into the room quietly, and moved directly to the front. She took one of the little note papers, eyed it for a moment, and then swiveled sharply to walk back down the aisle. She took a seat right behind Israfel, without saying a word. She folded the note paper once, then again, and pulled a corner out to make a little paper hat. Then, she placed the hat on Israfel's head, then folded her hands, settled them on the desk formally, and sat up straight.

Oh man! Was she going to be the late one this time? LW rushed through the halls as she scrambled to get to the classroom. Maybe it would be locked again. A werewolf could always hope, right? But alas, she saw it was open. And thankfully there were others scampering in as well. Once in, she slowed and took a quick glance around. There was something on the desk for them to grab. Good thing she wasn't super late this time. The she-wolf moved swiftly to take up one of the papers. "Good morning, sir." She said quietly.

Paper in hand, LW moved to take a seat somewhere in the middle vicinity of the room. So far, she didn't know anyone in here. She glanced around and blinked between the students who spoke and the professor himself.

Well, he wasn't the first, nor would he be the last, considering the number of students here, Johan thought as he walked into the classroom. He wouldn't dare admit it, but he was excited; this was his first class at Amityville. He still didn't know what to expect, but he though a class discussion seemed perfectly reasonable. Nodding politely to the teacher, he took a paper, and a seat that was away from the other students. He wanted to focus.

However, as Johan arranged his supplies neatly upon his desk, he couldn't help but glance back and marvel at the one winged student who had chosen to wear the paper as a hat. What in Jack's name was that about?

Malodore slipped inside, relieved to be returning to classes at last - and this one would be a good one, by its estimation! It chose the desk nest to Riley without hesitation, nodding to its friend with an open-beaked smile.

Israfel also got a nod, or would if he happened to turn around.

Riley didn't have much in the way of expectations for this class. She had been glad to see familiar faces when she'd walked in, but a friendly classmate would not help with the level of data this class had to offer. It would only help ease the burden of boredom, should the class turn to topics already known.

She had just been sizing up the teacher with a careful gaze when she felt movement beside her, and tilted her head just slightly. The welcome sight she was presented with made her turn in a much more open manner, tilting her body slightly to give Malodore her attention.

Malodore. She purred the thought directly at it, clearly pleased at this turn of events. At least now I have something to look forward to. And here I was just wondering if this class had anything to offer.

Whether or not the teacher, or class topic, was new information or not no longer mattered. Malodore would certainly provide something interesting to learn from, she had no doubt. It also helped that having Malodore beside her meant she wouldn't have to suffer with an unknown student taking it's place. No, she couldn't have asked for a better partner. Class partner, she clarified internally for her own sake.

Yes, the day was looking up already.

Hmph. Botany. West tried to look less than ruffled as he hurried to Professor Cadmus' class. He might have overslept and he might have still been sleeping if it hadn't been for a certain phoenix scareon taking it upon herself to ignite his pajamas.

It was with a slightly less angry and a slightly more 'hoshit burning pajamas twenty minutes ago' attitude that West entered the classroom that morning. He managed to read the blackboard and retrieve a piece of paper from the front of the classroom without stomping or scowling, then took his customary seat in the back of the room.

Sin tried to make a point of never running in high heels, bad things generally happened when one made the attempt. Still her hips were swinging a little extra as she moved at a more brisk pace then usual. She pushed her hair back and slipped into the classroom trying to assess if she was late or not. Last time she had let her mind wander during Botany, this time she was determined to try and pay closer attention, despite the fact she thought plants to be rather boring.

They had to have some uses, and she knew that some were dangerous or even fatal. So she took a paper and flipped open her book trying to find the pertinent information. She let her gaze wander away from the pages a moment to glance around at her fellow classmates. Some she recognized and some she did not. She let her gaze linger on Riley for a moment and wrote herself a little note on a slip of paper.

Party Invites Tonight She tucked it away and then went back to her book trying to suppress a yawn.

Junko had, admittedly, skipped out on the first class out of...influenced disinterest; it was Her fault, Junko had been on her way to the class when She began to complain that plants were stupid and why were they even going to this class and this was going to be so boring and why couldn't Junko just go back to her room. Whether the disinterest had seeped into Junko or she was just trying to make her shut up was unclear, but it didn't matter since this time Junko was not letting Her talk her out of coming to class. What kind of person skipped classes?! A fool. A damn fool. "Do we have to?" She groaned once again, parts of Junko's hair knotted loosely in an arms crossed fashion, clearly pouting. She didn't want to do this! This was stupid!

"Yes. This is a school, I need to attend classes. And you're just going to have to sit through them." She paused to narrow her eyes in Her direction. "Or else I'll get the wasabi again." She added in a low mutter which shut Her right up, leaving Junko rather pleased with herself. Junko wasn't sure how long she would be able to keep using the wasabi as a threat, only using it now because She had never had wasabi before and she'd had a huge glob of it recently...only to discover she absolutely despised it.

Junko had to wash her hair three times to get that stuff out.

She was very glad she came this time though! Malodore, Riley, Sin! Awesome! She was always happy to see people she actually knew in classes, it made her feel less awkward. She was glad it was becoming more and more frequent. Junko quickly took an empty seat neat Sin, smiling to her friend. "Hi, Sin~!" She chirped, waving to Malodore and Riley as well.

When Riley came into the room the siren perked up immediately, ear wings flapping with excitement as she sat behind him. "Riley!" A tiny peep of happiness bubbled up as she set the paper hat on his head. Sure, it was silly and she probably needed it for class, but it sat on his head. And it made Israfel feel warm fuzzies, ( even though it could have been a wild minipet, hard to tell sometimes). When Malodore entered The siren bobbed his head with a smile, paper hat tilting to the side just so. "I don't have any today." Israfel didn't need to say just what he was referring to. Not really. "Gotta focus for classes and all th-"

Who was staring at him? It was a Boil. A cute boil. He looked a bit like the quite type but he certainly looked nice. Pausing to wonder why his hair was white, Israfel waved before turning to face his fellow Ickis crew mates. "Should I invite him over? He looks kind of-" Israfel peeked over his sholder. "Alone." And judging from his desk a bit more organized then Israfel's, who's desk kind of had a pen snake curled contently around a holiday bow the siren had pilfered from Christmas town.

Ahh finally a break from the boredom of flipping through pages of plant information. She grinned at Junko and gave her a little wave with a smile glad she sat nearby. Part of her said, focus and finish the damn assignment, the other half was more eager to socialize then study. Then again she didn't know this professor very well, if they didn't pay attention he could pull a pop quiz to test them on poison plants or something. Bleh!

"This book is boooring..." She whispered to Junko with a smirk and then turned back to the assignment.

She was mostly focused on what plants were dangerous to demons, since she herself was a demon.
She looked at her paper as she read through the book and then frowned and wrote down.

-Southernwood - burned to ward off demons

Ugh what a wretched sounding plant, why hadn't her parents ever told her about it? Was she allergic to it, did it really work that well?
She finished her reading, none of the other plants seemed to specify being nasty for her kind, but she scribbled down a few more interesting sounding ones as a note to herself.

-Deadly Nightshade - Lethal
-Catnip - distracts weres
-Thyme - sometimes cures poison bites
-Quill Berries - soothing/healing
-Monkshood - Detrimental to Reapers ^.^
-Lavender - soothes
-Basil - immobilizes
-Angelica - Can be used against reapers ^.^
-Kibblers - deadly when injected for monsters
-House leek - mix and crush with peppermint for room safety
-Hibiscus - attempt to access...
-Hawthorn - keeps ghosts away
-Garlic - some undead are allergic

She finished her list with a flourish and then relaxed back in her seat.
