INTRODUCTION There is Good and there is Evil. Each resides in their own dominant realms, and each spills out onto the Earthen plane as well, where it has clashed and collided ever since the dawn of the it's creation with no promises of ever reaching an end. This war, known to Angels and Demons alike as the Eternal war is written by humans in early writings and modern fiction alike, but none of man's kind truly fathoms how vast the war goes. It isn't just a war of two sides,many more factions than can be counted appear near everyday. Some fight for power, or rank, others for greed. Where one warrior may put his or her life at peril, another may choose to turn their back on the war and it's reasons. There has been a prophecy, found by they angels nearly four hundred years ago, that come the second millennium after Christ, a good handful humans would be the key to ending the war once and for all, for better or for worse. These humans possess special souls, ones that once belonged to very powerful angelic warriors who passes away long ago. However, in the fallible body of a human, both sides of good and bad can be taken in life. These humans, when their purpose on earth is complete, will return as warriors, for the angelic side, if they are not first corrupted by those who wish them to bring victory to the demonic side or their souls are wounded or destroyed by those few who profit off the war and do not wish for it's end just yet. The battle is on and it is heating up fast, and all sides seek to find these humans, marked by only a shadow of former ability.

GUIDELINES GENERALFollow the Gaia ToS. Period. No exceptions. If you break this rule, you won't get a warning. You are out on your behind. Thread and Guild. I won't tolerate it, as I assume you have all shed your diapers and know how to act mature and and pleasant. Another thing we all should know by this level is how serious of an issue Godmodding is. I understand that in a roleplay that allots its character some special ability, it is tempting not to flaunt them off every which way, and show off. But. This roleplay is based in a 'Real Life' type setting. The average person doesn't even acknowledge these things even exist. At least have your character aware of that. ROMANCEIs the point of this roleplay. On this issue I must, however, bring up the ToS again. Please don't go overboard. It doesn't matter the age of your characters, the PG 16 rating here applies to everyone and their god, I mean dog. While nudity is allowed, describing such nudist behavior is not. Also, no cybering, and please, don't turn it into a love fest. Leave room for the angst and action plots, puleaze! Still, as before stated We do want romance. To put it simply, you can pick anyone to love in this rp that is not your own character. Its role and gender free. And you may have more than one crush, or hate, and more than one love is not advised. Still, getting into a relationship of any kind will require to to pm he object of affection's god, and plot. Plotting is fun. Everyone should do it. Once you have come to a understanding, PM me! I need this partner/crush/love/hate information! I post it up so no one gets confused. Please help me make my job easier! VIOLENCEWill not be tolerated anywhere except within the story. I will not have people bickering injustice over the OoC clogging it up with negative karma. If you MUST fight, take it to pms. If the topic is thread related and you can't work it out, PM me and I'll mediate. Other than that, feel free to show off those words and fists. Cussing is allowed, but moderation is the key. I'll leave that for you to decipher. Action and suspense are good pace makers, and they keep attention as well. Once again, Communication is key. Battles can last fairly long, and to solve that you should talk, and decide ahead of time who is the victor, and avoid all that drag. Also, in the event that someone is to be killed, or to die in any other circumstance, You will need to confirm with eachother and both the slayer and the slayed will have to PM me to confirm. LITERACYWe should all know what this means, but I'm going to clarify for all those who are new to the guild, or those who have simply forgotten what soaring heights my expectations amount to. I myself am A perfectionist, so I try to put every effort I can be allotted into every post. From you, I want at least just something that makes me smile to myself as I read it. If you do not have an emote in your applications, I will not accept them. For starters, I'm sure we all know to use "" for any speaking and to avoid the ** outside the guild chatterbox at any time. Capitalization, Punctuation, Grammar and Spelling are my best friend. A couple errors are no big deal, as long as we can still clearly understand your writing. It doesn't matter how long or beautifully decorated your post is if the writing is drudged out of the gutter. I also would want every poster to, without fail, post in third person. A continuous average of five+ paragraphs would make you my best friend, but I will accept three well fleshed paragraphs. POSTINGMake it pretty. That is all I ask. What often gets me so unmotivated to reply, even read a post is if it looks boring before I even know the content. For me, writing is like food. If it doesn't look good, I wont eat it. Also, just like food, it doesn't have to be complicated to be satisfying. Just remember that while the picture gives the initial appetite, the content, the flavor has to satiate as well. Don't cover up a lousy story with a pretty picture. I'd much rather a simple decoration than a bad story. CHARACTERSI don't have many restrictions for character creation. Basically, It's of a list what you can do. Isn't that something awesome? We should always stop and appreciate gems like that. First, I don't care what gender your character is. Simple. This applies if you are the opposite gender of what you would like to play. Please, I do want some form of gender balance in this roleplay. If you see that there are all or almost all one gender characters, why not try and help even it out? Second after that, I do not mind what sexuality your character is, as long as it isn't *****, necro, bestial, or anything along those lines. Now that thats cleared up, about your specifics. I am limiting how many powers you can have, so you might want to pick a decent one, Try not picking the same ability as another. It bugs me. Do not, pick vague powers, like elemental, or some god almighty power. I expect you to give a good explanation to each different application of your powers. If it doesn't make sense, I will call you on it. As for your life, don't pick some lived in perfection or suffered in tragedy plot. Moderation is the key to my happiness. APPLICATIONSFill them out exactly as they are. If there is any error in the coding, alert me immediately. Guilds are sometimes wonky in the respects of coding. Don't add to, subtract from, or even multiply what is already there. You may apply for two and only two characters, unless one) I know you, two) you've asked me and three) I have given you special permission to have more. DEDICATIONI don't know how else to put it. This is a long term roleplay. Don't join if you will never post. I don't even want a twice a month poster. I want this roleplay to move, move move! One post a week. That is the minimum I ask for. If you will be gone for longer than a week, than warn me. I won't use my fangs unjustly. If you just sudden up and leave the roleplay or the guild and I don't know, I'll probably be pissed. And I am the type to pester people about posting if I'm really into something. MISCELLANEOUS I reserve the right to Add, Edit, Remove, and give exceptions to rules as I see fit. This most likely will not mean any large changes, unless I need to clarify on a rule. FACTIONWWFACTOIDSThe role play is set up with the Angel and Protected as the default pair, and the Angel's goal is put their charge with another of the other Protected, in hopes that they can fall for the other and live out their lives until their soul can return to the gate. This is not to say that the Protected can't fall in loves their Angel, other Angels, the Minions, or even a Fiend (le gasp! Scandalous!) Protected are, quite literally the souls that once belonged to former Angels before they died or were killed. These humans have no memories of their former lives, though they all possess a shadow of an angelic trait or ability apart that sets them apart. Most of the time these people can live out their lives out without interruption, but there circumstances in which Angel assistance is needed to keep these people on the right path. Those times when the human needs protection of their life, when the human is in danger of being discovered for their ability by Fiends, their followers or others, and most notably when the human thinks to turn their back on their belief, on god, or show signs of falling down a lower path. Once their lives are over the can rejoin heaven and serve beginning as low level Angels until their full powers can awake, but until then, both they and their powers can be corrupted and enhanced through unholy means, which is exactly what the Fiends want. These Tainted are a means to fight against the angels. ~ Angels are under extreme taboo against falling for a human. It is considered a crime in the heavens, and it is said that you wish to live in the human world, and forsake your origins. Thus, the angel will face being stripped of his or her wings and exiled to live on earth for the rest of eternity, a choice that few angels make in order to live with the human for the rest of their lifetime. Those who are stripped are called 'Elven' and retain their angelic abilities, but often go mad after centuries unable to die, withdrawing from the world, showing fickle bitterness to those that interrupt it. Some Angels however do no approve of the war. Those that turn their back on their god for darker tendencies are blocked from ever returning to heaven, and are shunned from hell as well. These Fallen can die, but as they shun heaven it is marked upon their being by a change in their form. A Fallen's wings can be varying shades of black or other dark color. Originally wings are lighter colors, gold, white, silver, tan, speckled...etc. Other changes can take place as well, but they can be less consistant. An Angels goal is to bring goodness into special humans' lives and protect them from malignancies until they can be left on their own to live their life until it's natural end. ~ Fiend's are more common on the earthen plane than one might think or guess, and often they are indistinguishable from ordinary humans through both the disguises and the glamours they use to hide their more sinister features. Many of them are here for kicks, and usually to cause trouble, but those of higher levels are often here with a mission from below. They seek key strategic points in their never ending determination to bring down their eternal enemies. Fiendns will do whatever is necessary, even sacrificing hundreds of their hoardsmen to reach their goals. These methods could be anything from open warfare, sabotage, or capture of Angelic resources through mean of destruction or seduction. . With the souls of once angelic beings being found more and more within the bodies of clueless humans, they've ever more opportunities to squander the enemies forces. While an Angel may be pure, a human is not so. They can be easily led to darker paths, and once an a human turns their back on god and moral, heaven they cannot return to fight as an angel. And even if the Fiend cannot seduce the human, they are easily killed, and a soul is injured by violent means, and won't rest when their life's purpose cannot be fulfilled. Though even Fiends aren't merely stuck to the fate of their birth, few of their rank resent their roles. those that turn their backs on hell are shunned from Heaven and by all Fiends in hells. These Bannished may choose to resent the war entirely or support a different side or their own goals.There are also Fiends that found love in a human, who leave hell and live out their life in the human world. These Fiends are known as the Exiled. ~ Fiends don't stop at just seducing special humans, they also persuade others to help their cause, often through persuasions of power and ability. These Minions, while retaining the more fragile mortality that comes with being human, are granted an ability or power that was once unattainable to them. Along with this the Fiend receives other gifts, anything keeping them on the side of pleasure, sex, drugs, fun, whatever they lust after and can be withheld to motivate. Though when the Fiend the Minion is partnered with is killed, the Minion loses their abilities and falls away from the glamours and illusions of their service. The Minions have all but forfeited their soul upon death, where upon they might become low level demons and avoid a fate of anguish based on the weight of their usefulness to the demonic cause. Just like when Protected pass on and become low level angels, it is possible to rise higher in rank to better match the abilities that will increase in power over time. Before the Minion dies though, it is not too late to seek redemption, but the path is not well known. To absolve him or herself, the Minion would have seek out the angels and seek forgiveness through them to the Lord. Pledging the rest of this life to amend, and serve with deeds and Virtues known, the Redeemed's soul will be sent back to earth after death to start anew. Only after this life, will the Redeemed be allowed to pass the gates.

≈ What's Happening ≈
Something is moving in the plans of the underworld elite. All the angels know is many demons have left the underrealms and have been covorting with humans. In attempt of what, they don't know, but they fear the worst.
In order to protect the humans with souls that would prove an asset to the war, the angels are meeting up with their assigned charges, so as we begin this story the pairs have known each other for a short time, just met, or are about to meet in the human plane.
It's said that demons have had a head start in this, and the humans they've paired with may or may not have already been corrupted, not only that, there were a few reports of ordinary humans using other planar abilities. How the demons found to do this, it is unknown.
