My Teepee With careful steps, the small flutter filly carefully made her way down a small incline in the thick woods It was rare for her to wander off on her own, as fear always clenched at her hurt as soon as she left the shadows of her parents and sister. But Dominica realized that she couldn't hide behind them forever. That she needed to brave the world, and hopefully, find that it wasn't as scary as she thought it to be.
A high pitched squeal erupted from her mouth as she found one of her front legs snagged in an unearthed root. With rapidly fluttering wings, Dominica fought to right herself.
Bad idea! This was a terrible idea! Absolute-
The shouting within her mind stopped when her hooves safely touched back down on the soft ground. Antennae twitched as she examined her leg, finding that she'd gotten away with just a small scrape.
Heaving a sigh of relief, Dominica chastised herself before continuing down the incline.

[[Syaoran-Puu's Teepee - Homeward boundAlso to make it easier for me later: #07c07f (colour code)]] Crown was practising, unlike his siblings who were far more interested in trying to fly Crown found his interests lying in more..... demanding areas. He had recently been initiated officially into the Miakoda herd, and with that he had earned the right to train under Maion and Drashi as a new protector.
He had just finished his first lesson, or at least it had felt that way. They had started with the sun rise, the lake had looked beautiful at that time; he was suprised to see that his sister Eden was also joining their number -but in a way that only increased his utter diaster to do his best, and in the process out shine his 'perfectly practical' sister. Eden was.... cold. At least that was how it felt at times, she didn't seem to express herself, well, at all. It upset Crown.... but didn't change the facts.
Crown had wanted to become a protector like Maion ever seen he saw him knock out a wolf without harming him and carrying the beast away from the herd- the creature had been about to attack Alice, his aunty who was pregnant at the time. The speed such a large stallion could summon had shocked and awed him, so much so for weeks Crown had found himself sneaking to the training and trying to copy them, slowly teaching himself.
Currently they were focusing on stamina moves, a routine designed to exhaust and use most of the muscles in the body in an effort to slowly strengthen them. Drashi had repeated time and time again- 'Do not rush it Crown, slow but steady wins the race' and each time Crown had felt foolish. He wasn't able to keep up with the older protectors, couldn't continue the routine for as long; and although they promised he would with time he felt like the odd one out.
And so he practised.
One, Two, Three. He kicked forward, turned left, bowed, pushed his head forward, turned right, kicked backwards, kicked forward, jumped...... again and again he did the little routine until he was hot and sweaty.
Then he heard..... something? His ears twitches as his eyes tried to find the location. Something was coming down.... towards him? His ears flattened...... what if it was someone from the herd about to tell him off for sneaking away?

Despite her initial panic attack, the small flutter filly found herself slowly relaxing. This didn't seem to be so bad. In fact, it was almost... peaceful.
As her hooves stepped onto level ground, she glanced up at the incline that she had successfully navigated, which looked much larger than it actually was to her young eyes, and puffed up her chest with pride. If only Aisha had been here to see, surely she would proud of her sister. With new confidence, Dominica gazed up at the tree tops with eyes that matched the leaves that clung to their branches. Unaware that she was not alone.
Really, she knew better than to let her mind kept swept away, leaving her vulnerable to any predator lurking near by. Fremere had made sure to lecture about safety often, and the dangers of the world. Especially about Skinwalkers that might be looking to snack on the young offspring of an Angeni. And if he were here not to see his daughter's absent mindedness, he'd give her quite the tongue lashing.

Crown dared to step forward more when no sound came in his direction. Soon he found himself looking at what had caused his fear..... but far from being a herd member it appeared to be a filly, no older than him. And for some reason every part of Crown swooped forward, he had always been brought up that girls needed to protected, that they should never wander off alone unless they could protect themselves and although Crown didn't know this young filly he suspected she would far as poorly as he would against a predator.
Stepping towards her, head wings still flopped on his head he spoke shyly. "Em... hello?" He tilted his head, grinning in an effort not to spook her. He had the intention of asking her if she needed escorting home or to her family or something, all thoughts of his original mission suddenly forgotten. Instead he offered his name. "My name is Crown. Crown Cullen. Who are you?" Then a thought crossed his mind. They were near Miakoda territory... could this dainty mare be a threat? Scrunching up his face he stared at her for a moment before finally asking. "Why are you here?"

"Eh?" Green eyes widened as the spoken greeting drew the filly's mind back to reality. Heat rushed to her cheeks and her antennae curled out of embarrassment when she noticed the colt. Just where had he come from? Nervously, she shifted from hoof to hoof, her gaze bouncing from their surroundings and back to the colt.
"Oh! H-hi!" squeaked out Dominica upon realizing that she had not returned the greeting. One would make enemies, not friends, if they were rude. That's what her father told her anyways. "I am Dominica. It's, uh, n-nice to meet you."
She pawed at the ground, unable to stay focused on the colt without turning into a stuttering mess. This was the first time that she found herself speaking with another without her sister by her side. Without her loving shield standing in the forefront as she herself took refuge in her sister's shadow. But, wasn't the purpose of this outing to try and change that? Aisha couldn't always be there...
"I..." the filly licked her lips as she forced herself to make eye contact with the colt, her voice barely above a squeak, "I just wanted to do some exploring."
