Syr
The sun had set early as it always did at this time of year and Poseidon lay on the beach looking up as the stars glittered in to life. filtering sand through his very largs paws, the big blackened white male yawned. "'Nother day gone Ampy." He rumbles a light sigh escaping his lips. "Sing a night time song will ya lassie I might just sleep out ere tonight."

Amphitrite clicks her beak and settles deep in the thick fluffy mane of the dark lion. They had spent the day on duty as always and it was time to relax. "Yup I can do that." She raises her head to the sky and starts to sing a lovely long tune which filled the air with it's sound.

Find any, Jelani?” The slender lioness asked looking over her shoulder. The male waterbuck, covered from antler to tail in seaweed, shook his head sadly before digging deeper into the water. “Alright then.” She frowned and stepped from the water towards the shore. “Guess we have to call it a night then.”

“Sorry, Iara.” The waterbuck bowed his head.

“You’re fine you goof.” Iara nudged the waterbuck before pausing and looking in the distance. “Hear something?” She asked quietly. Tilting his head Jelani looked in the distance and slowly nodded. The lioness paced before grinning, “Let’s go find out, kay?”

The waterbuck looked like he was about to bolt, but already his companion was scattering sand behind her as she raced down the shoreline towards the source of the lovely song.

Syr
The giant black and white male lifted his head as he heard approaching foot falls. His sleepy face changes in an instant to one of pure joy. "Iara." He calls stretching out his figure so that he was less lounging and more presentable. He wished he'd taken a dip, he'd been sat out on the borders all day, he was covered in dust and a bit smelly. Well, he would just have to make the most of it, he didn't want to just run away, he liked to see Iara, he liked to see her a lot.

Amphitrite clicks her beak her song ending in a long beautiful whistle. "Good evening miss Iara." She whistles looking around for the waterbuck who was Iara's companion. "No Jelani this evening miss?" she flutes settling deep in to Poseidons mane, using his head as her nest.

Sabra
Iara’s face broke into a radiant smile as she recognized the two figures. So it was Posey and Am! “Posey, Am!” She called out in a warm greeting before stumbling to a stop. “Good evening to you as well.” Looking around the lioness had to pause before looking back at the bird, “So it was you singing then? Your song was quite pretty.”

“No Jelani?” Iara turned around before laughing, “Oh. He’s here somewhere…or at least he was.” She watched as a dark blur stumbled towards them. “Found him.” The poor waterbuck took a startled step back before recognizing Posey and Am. Peeking out behind Iara the waterbuck nodded a nervous greeting.
“So what brings you two out here so late?” Iara asked Posey. Jelani snorted softly. Leave it to her to immediately try to figure out everyone’s business.

Syr
Poseidon chuckled lightly, his dark tail flickering around his haunches. "I just got off lassie, I was gunna have a night under tha stars while it's nice out. No rain yet so I can enjoy an evening under the stars." He smiles brightly his deep golden eyes smiling. "Ye can join us if ya like lssy, I can protect ya from tha night." He grins.

Amphitrite bobs. "Thank you very much miss. Yes it was me singing. I enjoy singing in the evening especially." She clicks her beak and vanishes for a moment in Poseidons mane arranging his long thick head fur in to a comfortable nest.

Sabra
“Ah.” Iara grinned, “A night under the stars?” She looked up at the beautiful night sky with the stars sparkling in the distance. It was a romantic scene. She decided before shaking her head sheepishly. It was pretty was all. “So you’ll protect me then?” The lioness tossed her head up dramatically, “I dunno, the night can be a scary place. I’ll have to think on it.”

The waterbuck snorted behind her and rolled his eyes at her play. Really?

“Anytime.” Iara smiled at Amphitrite. “It was what brought me up here. I had to find the source of the lovely noise.” Jelani nodded from behind her with a smile towards the bird. As the waves crashed against the shore, Iara finally looked to Posey with a smile. “I think I would like to stay out here with you.” She paused and blinked sheepishly, “If it’s really alright that is.”

Syr
Poseidon smiled brightly, his golden eyes capturing the bright shimmering stars. " I an't be thinning of anyone I'd rather spend a night under this stars with." He smiles, his pale fur shimmering with heat, though luckily, or hopefully, it was dark enough for it not to be seen. "Settle ye down lassie i promise I'll never let any thin in tha darkness get ya. Thats my job after all." He grins.

Amphitrite clicks her beak in a pleased manner, closing her eyes she starts to raise the tune again picking up where she left off, her voice a beautiful melody, though she sings the tune quietly enough so that the lions can continue their conversation. She hoped that Poseidon would finally tell Iara he liked her.

Sabra
“Oh.” Iara was momentarily speechless and so she nodded. A moment later she softly replied, “I…feel the same.” She grinned back, “Oh really? Then I’m glad to know that I’ll be safe and secure with you out here, Posey.” The lioness laughed softly before sitting down on the warm sand. Her gaze went from Posey and back to the night sky so she could focus and try to calm her racing heart down. Content she listened to Am’s song with a faint smile.

Ears twitching Jelani nodded his head before nudging Iara and walking a bit further up the beach to graze. He would give the lions their time together. The waterbuck looked back at them with a smile. He could trust that other lion with her. He’d keep her safe.

Syr
Poseidon's ears flickered lightly, looking down at Iara before turning his own eyes to the sky. He clears his throat and smiles. "You know, I look forwards to our time together." He clears his throat again. "I don't think I'v ever seen anything os beautiful." He smiles turning his gaze from the deep dark sky and turns his full golden eyed gaze upon Iara, his smile, calm, his eyes sparkling.

Amphitrite stops singing and takes to the sky in a long, beautiful whistle, her voice filling the skies with a song that rang out with finality. Finally, at least he had said something, she flutters off and perches on jelanis back continuing her song from further away to give the two lions time to finally say their parts.

Sabra
Iara looked at Posey with faint surprise, “Really?” She looked back at the starry sky before nodding in agreement. “It is beautiful.” She replied innocently before realizing that he was looking at her as well. Flushing the lioness turned back towards the sky. Surely he was talking about the night sky…right?

“Hey, Posey…” She started before shaking her head and looking away again, “Never-Never mind.”

Syr
The big dark male smiled lightly and nudged her cheek with his nose. "I'm not talkin bout tha sky lassie. Yanno, I aint never met anyone as beautiful as you lass." He beams widely his golden eyes dancing happily. "I really, I really look forward to seine' you tis a right good light in my day." He smiles his ears vanishing in to his mane, he wasn't often this open.

Sabra
Iara actually looked unusually shy as she listened to Posey. "I-I don't know what to say Posey." She managed to reply softly before smiling up at him. "I really look forward to seeing you. Seein' you makes me really happy. You're...really....I mean I like....anyways..." She gently nudged him, "I'm really glad you let me stay out here with you tonight."

Syr
Poseidon grinned happily he licked her nose. "There aint no one I'd rather spend an evening' with lass." He smiles settling his chin on his paws. "In fact, I'd rather spend a lot more time than just the odd evening wit ya lassie. I'd like it if, yanno, we spent all time together." He flushed lightly, he was really making a hash of this feelings thing. He sighs and shakes his head. "I'd really like it if we could be together. I been thinking' bout you a lot lately an', well, I'm thinkin' I'd ilk to keep ya, to love ya, to have a home wit ya lassie." He smiles a charming, silly grin looking down at her. "I been thinking fer a while that tha dancing in me chest when I be a seein' ya aint nothing' to ignore. I be thinking, Iara, that I be a loving ya an I can' be denying' it no more lass." He flattens his ears, hoping she felt the same. He felt, he had finally found someone he could and would love forever.

Sabra
Blinking Iara sat down on the sand with a thud. “You want to be together?” She finally asked her gaze studying his face. He was serious? Her heart was thudding in her chest and the lioness nodded before flying at him for a hug. “Yes, yes! I would really love that Posey!” She whispered nuzzling his mane. “I would really love that cuz I think…no I know that I love you too, Posey.”

Syr
The huge black and white lion beamed lofting a paw and wrapping it around her holding her tightly against his huge bulky form, he closes his eyes holding her tightly against him. "I love ye lassie, I truly do." He beams "I never wanna let ya go." He licks his lips and rolls on to his back, keeping hold of her he pulled her on to his belly. "I'll protect ya forever Iara an love ya for just as long." He smiles a slight yawn escaping his maw. "This is tha best night of my whole life." He rumbles.

Sabra
Iara closed her eyes and enjoyed the warmth of her loved one. "Me too, Posey." She whispered cuddling closer to him. "That's good." She laughed softly before reaching up to paw at his mane playfully, "Cuz it's the best night of my life as well." Seeing him yawn made the lioness yawn as well and her eyes started to feel even heavier with exhaustion. Slowly she closed her eyes and started to let sleep take over.
