Kyo stood in an open field, there were no trees or rocks or anything to use for cover. above him, thunder boomed and lightning crashed as rain and hail plummeted to the earth. The wind howled around him as he waited, the long grass of the field leaning with the force of the wind and rain. The hail that fell around him with the rain was about the size of a marble. His opponent should be arriving soon. He was looking forward to testing his skills again. He had chosen this place for it offered advantages to both shinigami, he wanted to see whose element was stronger.

It would be here that the Storm Tiger would fight the Snow Wolf and only one of them would be victorious. Kyo couldnt help but bare his teeth at the thought, after all tigers and wolves were naturally opposed beasts. He could feel the pull of the electricity in the air around him, his zanpakutou yearned for release from its sheath at his waist. Soon it would begin, and it would end with only one claiming victory over the other.

Kyo grinned as he turned toward Jutaku, "Yea i'm Kyo. You must be Jutaku, It is a pleasure to meet you. I hear your the 8th seat in this squad, you must be a strong shinigami. I've been looking forward to this." he said. Unsheathing his zanpakutou, Kyo dropped the smile as he eyed his opponent. "Lets do this then." Even as he spoke Kyo was rushing towards Jutaku with his sword held low, as he drew near him, Kyo jumped into the air and pointed his finger at Jutaku. "Hado #4: Byakurai!" he shouted as lightning burst from his finger towards his opponent. Kyo didnt stop there, still in the air he followed the lightning and brought his sword down at an angle so that it would slice across Jutaku's chest from his left shoulder to his right hip. At the same time that all this is happening, Kyo's tail had wrapped around his sheath and brought it up so that it would slam into Jutaku's left leg. Lets see how you handle this.

"Keep your gaurd up Kyo, if you underestimate him it could cost you this battle." Raitenshou growled within his head. "I got this. He's not the 8th seat for nothing, but i bet he's nothing compared to Kasen. We held our own against Kasen, kind of anyways... Let's have some fun for once Rai." Kyo replied with a grin.

(i think you missed the other two parts of my attack. i followed behind the lightning with my sword and sheath in combination.)

Kyo pushed away from Jutaku as soon as their blades connected, he heard the smack of his sheath against Jutaku's leg and refrained from grinning. He'd gotten the first hit, but the battle had just started. he landed a few feet away, his eyes locked onto Jutaku's. "Yea it took three of us to force him to use his shikai, i just happened to be the one to last the longest of the three. I dont think i did too bad considering i was fresh out of the academy when we fought him." Kyo growled. He had noticed Jutaku putting something in his mouth but hadnt been able to see what it was. Guess i'm gonna be in for a surprise or two. Good, i've got some surprises of my own. Kyo's gaze drifted to Jutaku's blade which still held the charge from his Kido. No doubt he planned to use it against him, well that was just fine with Kyo.

Kyo growled and rushed towards Jutaku again, this time he brought his sword up so that his attack would bring their blades into contact again, he wanted to see how Jutaku would use the swords charge.

Kyo watched the smoke surround Jutaku. Smokescreen eh? hmph too bad i can hear your every move Jutaku. i wonder if your hearing is as good as mine? Kyo thought as he stood perfectly still as the smoke engulfed him, he could hear Jutaku in the air above him and slightly to the left. He could easily knock him out of the air with a kido but instead he kept still and silent so he could see how Jutaku would react. Kyo closed his eyes so he could hear better (and because the smoke was starting to cause irritation).

"He's playing with you." Raitenshou growled, causing Kyo to smile as he waited for Jutaku to make his move.

Kyo could hear something happening outside of the smoke. it took only a second to realize a trap was being set. Good move, but not good enough. he thought as he gathered his reiatsu. "Hado # 31: Shakkaho!" he yelled as he jumped into the air and fired the kido at the ground. the force of the blast blew away the smoke and helped Kyo clear the walls of ice that were about to trap him.

"Release me Kyo." Rai growled at him.

"Scream and Strike Raitenshou!" Kyo yelled as his zanpakutou changed from a normal katana into twin swords shaped like thunderbolts. Kyo landed well away from the walls of ice and took a moment for his eyes to stop watering from the smoke.
