I just gave a friend of mine a BoM today, and he's been drinking tonight. Everytime he drinks he get's suicidal, and right now, online, he's asking me if there's anything in the book to help "a friend" who is suicidal. He's actually worried about himself, but still feeling it. Can anyone give me a scripture in the BoM that might help him. If you need more details fell free to ask.

If you need more details fell free to ask. dont know if it is to late or not but try the men are that they might have joy and a bunch of other scriptures about joy and some about repentance.

ok, thanks ya'll. Luckily, I calmed him down. He's agreed to stop drinking, at least fo a while, so I think we're safe for now. Thanks again!

Pray for him and just keep being his friend. Find out (if you don't know) the cause(s) of his depression/suicidal tendancies and try to quel any fears or do what you can there. That's my two thoughts. If he's worried about himself and willing to ask for help then all isn't lost 3nodding

Most importantly, let him know that you are his friend, and you're there for him no matter what. And try having a special fast for him, and adding his name to the temple prayer roll. Those are the best things to do.
