She'd been napping when her eyes popped open. She'd felt the wiggling of one of the baskets move and wiggle. Lifting her head, she watched the white basket for a moment. Looking around she looked to see if Oracle was still beside her like her had when she'd gone to sleep. "Oracle?" She nosed the wiggling basket gently. The lid of the basket soon popped a crack and a white nose peeked out for a moment before popping back in. It took a few seconds later before the lid finally lifted, A white face with blushing cheeks beneath it. "Momma?" Shaking her head, she shook the basket lid off her head and attempted to stand up, stumbling on her wobbly legs and tripping on the lower lip of the basket sending her tumbling a bit.A gentle smile was what she offered her daughter as she nudged her gently with her nose, checking to see if she was alright after the little tumble she'd taken. "You alright my dear? Take you're time there's no need to rush yourself."

Oracle was sleeping happily cuddled up next to the mother of his children. Her voice roused him from his sleep, and immediately he saw the white basket start to wiggle and strain. He was on his feet immediately, adrenaline pumping through his veins; it was the moment of truth. Oh, gods, what does he do? Does he help them... let them out on their own? What if they were... messed up somehow? Shoshana would never forgive him. He watched in shocked awe as the white basket finally busted open, a tiny filly poking out a most perfect looking white face. It wasn't but a few minutes later the basket closer to him, the blue one, began to shake. Oracle stomped his delicate hooves; a mix of excitement and nervousness, as the basket strained and pulled. The little body inside finally broke free of the wicker confines, the basket finally falling open at the lid and collapsing around the foal inside. The leggy baby seemed to bloom open like a flower from his confines, looking up at the two towering figures above him with a mix of juvenile apprehension and adoration.

Florian had enough of being cooped up inside the basket! She wanted to see the pretty faces of her parents and feel the warmth of their breath against her cheekbones. More importantly she wanted to meet her siblings[especially the one whom kept bumping into her!].
Her nostrils flared as she lifted her head and peeked the end of her snout out from underneath the lid. A mixture of scents filled her nose! Florian sneezed fairly loudly as she couldn't stop sniffing. The corners of her lips curving into a smile as she raised her head a bit more. She shook her head causing the lid to fall onto the ground.
She blinked her eyes a couple times. At first everything was a blur, but there were so many colors! She smiled brightly as she pulled her head back causing herself to tumble out of the basket.
Laughter filled her vocals as she lay there with legs sprawled out and a goofy smile on her lips.

Sho smiled happily as she watched each basket in turn pop open. "Oh Oracle, they're beautiful!" Smiling wide, she nuzzled each one of the foals before turning her head and nuzzling into Oracle's neck. "What should we call them?"
The white filly attempted to stand once more, wobbling and shaking as she found her legs. Once she'd finally gotten herself to stand, she craned her neck to look from one parent o the other. "Daddy?" She was looking up at her father now, big doe like eyes blinking at him as she smiled wide. She'd heard both their voices from inside her basket and now she was able to look upon them both.
She couldn't help but to chuckle some as she watched the light colored filly. Some how she knew a name to fit her. "Oracle.. I think we should name her Briallan Oralee. But.. Bri for short." She rested her head against oracle, admiring their little ones.

Florian lifted her head and looked at her parents. While being inside the basket she had to imagine what they looked like by using the way their voices sounded. But her thoughts were nothing compared to the real thing! She smiled proudly and sweetly at both parents as she lay at sight of their beauty.
Her eyes then lowered to the two foals that were near. More giggles escaped from her vocals. Florian wiggled her legs out from underneath her. She lifted her hind-legs upwards first and then tried with a steady balance to stand up, but even that was proving to be difficult for the young filly.

Oracle was never very good of expressing himself. He stood there, dumb struck... so filled with joy and hope and excitement... though he didn't know what to do or say, so he just stood there and watched... a tiny tremble shaking his body.
It wasn't until the little white filly said it... 'daddy'... that he collapsed down onto his knees so he could better see his beautiful children. He nuzzled the little white one, then the blue one.... then the pinkish one that looked like his extraordinarily beautiful mother.
"Bri... Bri is beautiful... like the sound of a bell!"
He looked over to his son, his blue fur; and his rosey little feet. "I.. I always thought of these as our little roses," he confessed to Shoshana. "This one will be my little Winter Rose..." he nuzzled his son, who had yet to speak but smiled and closed his eyes contentedly as his father touched him, "Winter for short."
His gaze went back to the pink one that resembled Shoshana the most. "And this one? What do you want to call this one, my love?"

She giggled some and lowered herself beside oracle once more. "Winter.. I like it.." She looked to the rose colored filly and smiled. "Florian. I think Florian should do nicely." She smiled and nuzzled each foal in turn again. "Bri, Winter, And Florian, our own little roses." She beamed at their little family. "When they find their legs better we should take them out for a little fresh air. That is unless the weather out side's too harsh. If it's snowing I don't want to take them out of the den."
Bri giggled and nuzzled into her father' mane. She was getting use to her legs more now as she pranced a bit. Peeking from through her father's mane, she looked at her brother. "Winter!" She Giggles and made her way to him. "WInter! Winter!" More giggles as she stuck her nose into his little mane and nuzzled him. She licked his cheek and turned to look at her sister. "Flo!" Giggling she attempted to hop but fell on her belly instead.

Florian's ears swievled at the sound of Bri's peppy voice giggling out. Her smile blossomed on her lips as her sister's laughter sounded very familair. It was then that she recognized the other young filly the one whom had bumped into her when they were only inside baskets.
She licked her lips as she took a couple uneven steps ahead and then changed route to chase after Bri. Florian's body kept swaying this way and that as she attempted to get closer to her sister.
"Bri!" she squeaked out in delight! "BRI! BRI! BRI!" she hollared happily. She quickened her stride to a trot and then pranced in place. "WIN'ER! WIN'ER! WIN'ER!" she laughed loudly trying to say her brother's name as she kicked her hooves.

Winter made a face as his sister licked his cheek. He was certainly the quiet one in the bunch, but he did smile and chuckle a bit to himself as they pranced around the little den. He finally got the courage to stand up, balancing himself in a wide stance on his long, wobbly legs. His ears pricked up as he laughed a bit; proud of his accomplishment.
Meanwhile, Oracle made his way to his feet again. "I'll go check," he said. He gaze Shoshana and all three of his children another nuzzle before he made his way out of the den. Of course the den of dark and warm with the combined heat of five bodies all huddled around; so the winter day was quite of a stark contrast. The white snow on the ground reflected the daytime sun - making it bright. And the air was chilled, but at least it was a still.
He came back into the den with a smile. "There's snow on the ground but its not falling. They should go out for alittle while, we'll just keep them close."

Nodding she stood up and nudged her little ones with her nose. "Alright you three, It's time for a small family outing." She smiled as she ushered the foals to the opening of the den. "Just remember, stay close to your father and I.. and don't get close to the pond."
Bri stood back up and gave a few hops as she excitedly made her way to the entrance of the den. She wiggled under her father's belly, giggling as she passed by him and squinted into the sun. "Daddy! catch me!" She pranced into the snow, her cloven hooves crunching through the snow as she hopped and pranced only to stumble and flop in the snow. She'd obviously picked up on her mother's clumsiness. "It's so cold!" she shrieked in surprise.

Florian raised her head as she followed her family out to the entrance of the den. She shivered just a tad bit as the air became much colder towards the opening rather than back at the heart of the den. She squinted her eyes and ducked her head down as the sunlight beamed down onto her face as she peeked her head out.
She blinked her optics a couple times to get them adjusted but was rewarded with a wonderful surprise! The ground was covered in a white blanket that sparkled underneath the sunlight. And the trees..! They were covered with the white stuff too.
Florian watched as Bri tumbled into the snow and said that it was cold. She looked down at the snow with bright-beaming curious eyes. She raised her fore hoof and dipped it down.
"Brrr!" she shivered with a smile. "It is cold!" she agreed. Florian raised her hoof as she made a face at the cold-wet stuff. Her eyes then quickly glanced at her parents, to the snow, and then back at her parents again as if she didn't know what to do next.
"What is it?" she asked as she lowered her face down into the snow pile that lay at the entrance.

Oracle gasped as Bri fell into the snow. He trotted up next to her quickly, gently pulling her back to her feet and used his tail to dust off the snow from her body. "Careful now," he whispered to her, nuzzling her cheek.
Winter Rose stepped carefully into the snow...one hoof at a time. He took huge, wobbly steps, unsure about this stuff. He squinted into the bright light of the day and wandered closer to his mother.

Sho smiled as she watched Oracle with Bri. He really seemed to be naturally grasping fatherhood. "Florian, It's called snow. It blankets the sleeping earth every winter and melts in the spring when life once more returns to the lands." As Winter made his way to her, she nibbled affectionately at his forelock, nuzzling him closer to her. "Are you cold my dear?"
Looking up at her father she grinned wide and nodded. "Yes daddy. I'll be careful." She shook what little snow was left on her and giggles, tromping around in a circle and watching the heat of her body compact and melt the now. "Flo! Commere! You have to see this.. " She giggles as she gave small wobbly hops around her father,

Florian looked to her Mother and then back down at the snow that lay at the entrance of the den. "Snow," she whispered as she dipped her head down to get a closer look. She raised her fore-hoof and dipped it down quickly before shaking the white glistening flakes off. She raised her head and took a step just as Bri called for her.
"Ack! It's so cold!" she squealed out like a little girl. With legs sprawled out and taking wide strides towards her sister she looked very awkward walking out of the den.
"So very cold! Cold, cold, COLD!" she cried out with her tail swaying behind her. "What Bri? What do you want?" she asked though her eyes staying down onto her hooves as she walked.
