Ocianna smiled at her reflection in the water. She came here to the waterfall almost every day. She absolutely loved the water, and everything it stood for. Strength, endurance, serenity. She could sit and stare at the water for hours with end and never find herself bored. It calmed her soul just being around it.
Smiling softly to herself, she moved off to the right and went to smell some sweet flower that bloomed only in the early morning. Soon she would have to leave her sanctuary in order to hunt, but for the time being she was content to stave off her hungry for this guilty pleasure.

Pharos had been traveling for awhile, not really sure where he was going. Along his adventures he had met several characters, some that had left a strong impression, others he had forgotten. Two BCR's dangled from his tail, BCR's he had found and yet did not know that around every christmas BCR's just appeared from thin air and were picked by many travelers. No, he believed these BCR's were accidentally left, and he, the brave knight, would find them their mother and return them home. Maybe slay a monster here and there.
He'd be the hero of the day!
These eccentric thoughts were distracting him, he didn't notice that one of the BCR's were starting to slip from his leg. He only noticed when he heard a sound of metal hitting a rock, head swiping around to see the BCR rolling down the hill he had been climbing over, heading straight for a pool that above it was a waterfall.
"Oh no!" He cried out, rushing after the BCR full speed, and yet unable to catch it as it tumbled down the hill. If it fell in the water... would it die?! No! He couldn't let that happen!

Ocianna turned sharply back when she heard the soft sounds of something rolling down the hill, "What in the world....Ah!" she gasped in surprise. It was a BCR, a funny looking one to be sure, but a child nonetheless.
"Oh no...." She followed the path that surely led to the water's edge. She had never had much experience with BCRs but she knew with a certainty that the water would not be good for it.
Rushing forward, she had to leapt at the last second and looped her paw through the circle, saving the BCR from it's watery grave.
"You poor thing...." she pulled back form the water with a shuttered, "That was too close little one...." She placed it gingerly on the ground and inspected it for any cracks or scratches.

Pharos couldn't see it for a second, the hill preventing him from seeing the BCR after it rolled down it. He slid as water met him, falling into the water ungracefully and gasping as he swam for air, crawling onto the bank and shaking himself off. His eyes scanned the water hastily, fear in his eyes.
"Oh no... It... I failed..." He had killed a child! His carelessness had killed a baby! He glanced at his paw, spotting the other BCR, dripping wet. He dried it off, licking the warm jewel and wrapping it on his leg.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered to the BCR, ears flicking when he caught a scent. Hastily, he whipped around to see a vixen, eyes widening when they saw the sight of a familiar BCR on her leg. Had she... she had! He leapt closer to her, tail wagging.
"You found the BCR! Oh thank heavens, I thought it had drowned!"

Ocianna was momentarily disoriented by the males sudden burst in and out of the water, but she recovered quickly and offered him a warm smile.
"I thought it was rather odd this little one rolled down the hill....Here...." She nudged the BCR over to him, "I am happy to return it to it's father....And do not worry....it was my pleasure to save it.....I could never have allowed any harm to come to a young one." She quickly nuzzled the small BCR, "i believe it is unharmed....Heat still gives off...and it has a steady heartbeat."

"F-Father?" He sputtered, collecting the BCR and settling it on his leg. "Oh no, I found them. I'm hoping to find their mother." He nuzzled the BCR, relieved to have it back. Jeez, if it had died... he'd... He would have been so depressed. He sat on his haunches, letting out a shaky sigh. He had defiantly freaked himself out beyond belief.
"Ah, thank you so much. I was so worried. It seems my ankle is thinner than expected." He slipped the BCR's off, resting them around his tail and nodding contently before turning to the dark vixen, finally scanning her and smiling softly.
"I am Pharos, and what is your name, miss?"

"Oh...." She couldn't help but chuckled when he stuttered, it was endearingly cute of him. So he wasn't the father of the children, but he still took care of them. It was so maternal of him that she found it adorable.
"It was my pleasure....As i said....i could never allow something to happen to a child if i could help it...." She smiled at him warmly, then cocked her head to the side.
"Oh.....Hello Pharos...." She chuckled softly, "My name is Ocianna....." She bowed her head, "Do the young ones have names?" She tilted her head toward the BCRs.

"What a pretty name." He said, lightly flicking his tail. He'd have to remember that name~ He glanced down at the BCR's, shaking his head. "I can't tell what gender they are, so not yet. Though, I hope to find their mother before they hatch. She probably misses them like crazy." He smiled faintly, nudging the BCR's before looking over at Ocianna.
"That explains why I am here, but what about you, miss? Are you here to look at the flowers?" He questioned, glancing about at the multiple flowers laying around. He grinned lightly, already thinking of a few nicknames he could use for her. He loved nicknames, it made him feel close to a person.

Her cheeks heated softly at the compliment. She wasn't used to being around males, so she was quite at a loss of how to act with Pharos.
"Yes and no...." Her gentle voice was the only sound besides the chirping birds, "This is....my secret garden, i guess you could call it.....I love the waterfall...." She looked over at it, "And the smell of the flowers.....they make me feel....at peace...." she smiled, chuckling at her own expense. "I suppose that might sound rather odd though...."

Pharos grinned as he noticed a blush, shaking his head. "Not at all, Flower Maiden." He rolled the nickname off his tongue easily, smiling at her. "The flowers are captivating. It must be nice to have somewhere so serene to escape to. Oh! Am I bothering the maiden?" He backed away, head tilting to the side.
"I can leave the maiden alone, if she finds that I am intruding?" He questioned lightly, the BCR's making soft tinkling noises as he backed away from her. The last thing he needed was to be a nuisance, though he had been called that more times than he could remember.

Flower Maiden? She blushed harder. She had never been called that before and had to admit that she liked it. "It is nice....very peaceful..."
She looked over surprised as he backed away, "What no.....Oh no.....You're not bothering me at all...." She shook her head, "I wouldn't mind it if you stayed." She smiled, "It's nice to have someone to talk to for a change."

Pharos nodded, pleased. He settled where he stood, sitting on his haunches. "Ah, good." He sighed, his tail curling under him. The Flower Maiden did not hate him, and that was good. He tilted his head once more, orange eyes glancing about.
"How did you find this place?" He questioned lightly. "By the way, I am lucky you were here. Had you not been than this little guy, or gal, would have been lost for good." He raised his tail, sighing contently, happy once more at the sight of the safe BCR.

"I've lived in this forest since i was a little kit..." She smiled, "My mother brought me here...." She looked over at the water, memories swimming in her eyes. Slowly she looked away when they became too painful.
"I am glad i was here today also...." She smiled at him, trying to push away the painful memories of her mother's tragic death. It was the last thing she wanted to think about now, she wold rather focus on the happier times they shared.

He noticed her look at the water, the expression she held for the briefest of seconds. Quickly, he stood, moving to her and nudging the vixen. "Well, I'm starving, here, proof." He stayed still, his stomach rumbled lightly, causing the male to grin at her. "Let's go get some food, hm?" He questioned. Anything to erase the feeling of sadness he had seen in her eyes earlier. No way, she was not going to be sad while the purple knight was there!

"Mm." She looked at him baffled, then laughed openly as his stomach rumbled, loudly.
Ocianna had to admit that she herself was feeling a little peckish, and figured that it wouldn't hurt anything by going with Pharos. He was friendly, and sweet, and he hadn't done anything to cause any of her instincts to flare. And of course there were the BCRs dangling off him.
Those were major points to his character according to her. Not just any male would take in two stray BCRs and try and return them to their mother.
"I would be delighted to join you." She grinned.
