Tali was once more at her favourite haunt, the game store in the mall. Tali had been coming here almost every couple of weeks since she was about nine years old and she knew all the staff and most of the customers very well. She knew the layout like the back of her hand and even if she had no money came here to talk to her friends and play on the guitar hero game which was set up at the back of the shop. The people behind the counter where fond of her and even though they had only been employed for a couple of years had come to know her face very well.
She was lent against the desk reading the annual magazine which came in. She had come to realise if she ran to get coffee for the guys they would not mind her reading the merchandise on the counter, chances are she would buy it when she was done anyways. Her candy coloured eyes wondered back and forth until she finally put it down and looked around the shop, her hands resting in her pockets.
So many new releases coming out. It was the best thing about Christmas all the game companies let out some awesome material in order to rake in money and take advantage of the holiday spirit in people. Her eyes then caught site of a character entering the shop, today had been slow today and there was only a handful of people looking through the racks.
“Ugh so bored.”
She pouted and took in a deep breath. She had run out of material to game whore back at home which would not be freshly supplied until after Christmas and the troubles that she was dealing with in the back of her mind did not help with her current mood. It was like she was in a melancholy state which she was sick as hell with at the moment.
“Okay. I am setting up a game of Guitar Hero. Anyone want to play double?”
She asked the question pretty open to the whole shop flaw. Tali was your
average girl, however out of uniform many said she looked older than a student, even though she was 17 she could pull off 18 or 19 which was a good thing, it got her served at bar’s.

Sebastian had been idly browsing the used games; he didn't own anything besides an old and much used Playstation 2, but there were still plenty of games he'd like to pick up. This wasn't his particular favorite store in the mall, but his roommate (and his friends) had dragged him in and then ditched him while he'd gravitated to the back of the store.
They did that on a fairly regular basis. It made him wish his friends were more interested in going to the mall, or in some cases, out at all. Unfortunately, he didn't have a car and didn't particularly trust public transportation, so roommate it was.
He'd been about to leave and text a terse question when he heard the girl ask if anyone wanted to play Guitar Hero. A few people had looked over, but most seemed content to ignore the request, intent on their own transactions. Sebastian ran a hand through his hair and shrugged. He really didn't have anything better to do, so why not?
"Sure," he said, stepping over to the console display and holding out a hand for either a handshake or guitar controller. Whichever. "I'm not very good at it, though."
