Sometime ago, the Dragonheart Empire assaulted Atole. Surprisingly everyone, Maltirs included, Atole and its allies had won. Remnants of the Dragonheart Empire remained, however. Citizens had taken weapons and armor that remained from the brutal battle. Rendered useless, these were considered war trophies by the natives. Even though the Maltirs had taken what they could, there still remained quite a bit of debris.
A cloaked ship managed to somehow penetrate the planet defenses and landed on Atole. A single ship could be quite stealthy. Where he landed was partially abandoned due to being ravaged by the Dragonheart Empire. A strange figure quickly exited the single craft. Garbed in a lab coat, the figure wandered about.

Elsewhere on the sight, a sensor spell alerted its creator to a new presence approaching. He straightened from where he had been bent over a burnt and blackened rock (collecting samples where he could and making notes where there were none to be found), brushing ash from his trousers.
The sorcerer was garbed in his own version of a lab coat. Simple, almost workman-like clothing, nothing that would get in the way or be set on fire.
But black, of course. Nothing else would do.

The foreigner held a small device in the palms of his metallic hands. It beeped every so often with each step that he took. To anyone else, he seemed to be wandering aimlessly. All of a sudden, the device began to beep wildly.
"What do we have here?" he asked himself. With each step, the beeping became louder. Eventually he found himself standing before another. This was obviously not a native of Atole.

The sorcerer's eyes swept over the new arrival, taking stock of the cyborg's appearance. His senses took it one step further, and the negative space that comprised technology on his magical radar would have made Emma flinch.
Anything interesting?
You could call it that.

"And what might you be doing here, fellow off-worlder?" While speaking, the scientist looked over the device he held. It was analyzing the energy that was coming off this silver-haired fellow. In a technological language only understood by technological experts, the reading it gave of this stranger was well over eight-thousand.

"The same thing you are, I imagine." he replied vaguely, letting Emma take a peek through his eyes at the other man.
I know him. I've seen him before, in the arena.
There were traces of the anti-magic's familiar signature around him. So this was the one.

"Why I'm here is no secret," he said plainly. "But allow me to introduce myself. What civilized person doesn't introduce himself? I am Professor Albert Bohr, man of science. And you, my soon to be introduced friend, are very powerful" As he put emphasis on powerful, Prof. Bohr pointed his beeping device at the stranger.

"Hrothbert of Bainbridge, at your service." He bowed (not low, but enough to give some sort of respect), eying the device in Bohr's hand.
A ward slid cleanly into place (that he had neglected to erect earlier), and Bohr would find that the device's beeping slowed, almost to a halt.
"Only by some standards."

"Modesty is a trait that seems to be dying in this universe. You have the refinement of a true nobleman." Prof. Bohr paused for a minute after he said that. His mind wandered to what he once was. "This area is a mess. I would have figured that the royal family would have cleaned it up by now." Though the beeping of his device was brought to a near halt, Prof. Bohr continued to look at it. He seemed to be walking a circle around Hrothbert.

"I've been told I'm simply old-fashioned."
The sorcerer let him pace, still on guard if he proved hostile. He was one of Cort's, so there was no telling, but he didn't seem as though he was planning an attack.
"I'm sure the royal family has other business to attend to."

"Who knows how long they were celebrating over their victory? For all we know, they could still be celebrating." Prof. Bohr put his device in his coat pocket and then picked up some debris was beside Hrothbert's left foot. The burnt and mangled piece of trash demanded the scientist's attention.

He remained silent after that, watching the professor's methods with some interest.
He hasn't tried anything. I'm shocked.

Prof. Bohr gave his full attention to the debris at hand. The burnt metal seemed useless to the naked eye. A idea suddenly came to mind. He then threw the metal seemingly at Hrothbert. Instead of hitting Hrothbert, in zoomed passed his shoulder and hit a scavenger animal that was unfamiliar to him. Prof. Bohr watched as the animal and the metal fused, turning the creature into a cyborg. "It still works!"

Well, that was a new development.
But it could be reversed. He could see a way to do so.
Emma was calling for some sort of action to equal that, but it was hardly the time to be showing off.

"But of course," he said with a twinge of pride. "It was originally created to manufacture robotic limbs for those who lost theirs for any number of reasons. After a few modifications, it was able to do so much more, as you have witnessed. To be honest, I was surprised it still worked."
