Flicking her tail she played in the waterfall waters as it fell upon her.Laughing and playing in the waters Adelia enjoyed herself.Being away from her parents and her siblings for just a little while was relaxing.Plus being at her mothers birth place made her feel happy.Adelia started to splash around making the water go outside of the circle that was made to hold the waters.Stopping she stared at the water over flowing out of the waters.Adelia cracked a grin and got out of the water plopping herself down onto the grass.Sighing some she laid there with her eyes closed. This was just feeling so nice to her and she didn't want anyone to ruin it.Not even some mare loving stallion or kalona.

Brackenhide had been out for a stroll. It was a pass-time of sorts for him, not to mention it was on his strolls that he most often found himself a new mare to talk to. So, on he walked, relaxed, he made his way over a few hills and towards the mountains some. There, he knew were some of the best views of all of the land. And what did mares like more than anything in the world? Pretty things! And beautiful scenery definitely fell into that category. Perhaps on his way up he would find a distressed mare, or a lost princess, or a maiden of some sort in need of his help. Yes, any of those things would make his day. But even if he didn't find any of those hopefuls, he would at the very least be able to watch the sun set from one of the best perches around. Even that would be work it for a bit of a hike.
But he never really made it up the mountain. A little ways off, he saw a waterfall, and suddenly a nice cool drink sounded like a brilliant idea. Maybe even a quick splash in the water to cool off before he started his hike! But he would decide that once he got there.
Calmly, he made his way closer, and when he got close enough to see the flying spray of water droplets he realised that he was not alone and stopped dead in his tracks. "Oh!" He exclaimed as his eyes landed on the foal lying in the grass near the water's edge. She was an adorable little thing, cute definitely. But why was she out here all alone? He glanced about, craning his neck to see if there was someone he was missing... but found no one. A little awkwardly, he offered a confused, "Hello?"

Adelia was laying there almost half asleep as she heard this voice talk from behind her.Pushing herself up quickly she looked around frantically.Seeing the brown stallion with a horn speaking with no one else around, she felt kinda awkward."Hi..."She just stared at him and huffed."Nice..day isn't it?"Her words came out softly as they stood there staring at eachother. This stallion had these scale looking things along with this fuzzy cloth looking thing on his chest. What is that? And those weird fluffy things around his hooves."Are you a prince or something?"Adelia asked confused.

He stood there awkwardly as the foal stood up and whipped around. He hadn't meant to startle her! So he stood still where he was and waited for her to react. But even that didn't leave him with much to work with. That is, he nodded at the 'nice day' comment, but what was he supposed to say to that? He had never interacted with a foal before! Well, he supposed when he was a foal, he might have, but he didn't remember that. But then she gave him a perfect opportunity to try and ease the awkwardness.
He smiled and nodded, "Why, yes! I am prince Brackenhide," as he introduced himself, he bent a knee and bowed his head, until he was at her height before righting himself back to standing as he continued, "But I'll let you in on a secret." Kids liked secrets, right? Well, he was going out on a limb here, but what else was he supposed to do? He didn't know how he was supposed to interact with fillies, let alone foals!
He stretched his neck down towards her and toned down his voice into a whisper before telling her, "Anyone can be a prince or princess. But only if they know they should be."

Adelia watched the stallion in a nervous state that he was in.Was he scared of her?I mean cmon what could she do?The most she could do was poke his eye out or kick him in the groin.Rolling her eyes she listened to this 'princes' story. He looked more like a circus clown or even like a ball dancer. Then she stared and cocked her head to the side when he bowed in such a way.Was this some proper way to greet someone? She had never encountered such a thing before.Adelia listened in to his secrete a little closer.Hm?Anyone could be a princess? Why hell she could be one. Grunting and putting her tail up in the air she raised her head high."I should be one.I'm a gorgeous filly, and i'll be one gorgeous mare!"

She responded well. He hadn't noticed her rolling her eyes, and that was probably just as well. Her little head raised high and her fluffy tail poised too, aw, it was just so cute! He relaxed a little, finally feeling a little more comfortable with the situation. He had chosen the right thing to say, as far as he was concerned.
He sat down where he was, calmly, and watched the little filly proclaim that she should be a princess. "Of course! There's no reason you can't be one! I wouldn't tell any of your friends though," a quick wink, meant to be friendly and helpful, "Otherwise they'd want to be one, too! And a princess needs her disciples." He nodded, as if he knew. Yes, he travelled alone, but he had met princesses who had groups of servants waiting on them at all times of any day. It was quite a life!
"But I don't think they would have any chance with a pretty filly like yourself as their competition!" That's what any mare would love to hear, so why not a filly too? Well, he didn't know any better if it wasn't.

Adelia stared at the stallion."I don't have any friends besides my siblings yet."She shrugged."If they got jealous of them then they are jealous."She gave a little smirk and giggled.Adelia nodded her head more and more."Your darn right that they wont win!"She wiggled her butt and pranced around him.Stopping in front of him again she thought about it.What was it like being a princess."Whats it like?I mean living in royalty? Is it harsh?Or maybe even the relaxing life?"She would never have someone be her servant, that is just stupid to her. That is just taking someones else life away and no one needed that even if they made that choice to taken in that type of job.Besides her mother she was the prettiest mare she knew. Her mom was gorgeous, and well She would take after her mother in that stage."But i wont just take any stallion to be my prince. He has to be very loyal, and all that good stuff!"Adelia giggled at herself. Most mares went upon looks or even just for babies. But she was different.Even though she was a filly she knew what she wanted, but that might change once she got to be a mare.

He watched the filly prance about him and stop to ask a question here and there with a mix of awe, confusion and lack of understanding. He felt he had a pretty good understanding of mares, as much as any stallion could, but fillies... well, foals, for that matter... seemed even more of a mystery to him.
"Living in royalty? Well... it's warm, and comfortable. Others wait on your every word, and envy a princess' beauty. But I think the hardest part of a princess' life is deciding who her mate will be." He looked thoughtful for a moment, and listened to what else the filly had to say. He nodded along, yes, she already spoke of how she would choose her stallion. What a smart young foal!
A sudden thought occurred to Brackenhide, which he shortly blurted out, "Might your parents be looking for you, young princess?" He glanced around, but really didn't see anything in the area that would tell of their presence.
