I know i made a post in this guild before, but i can't remember what it was.. I suppose i need to post more often.. No worries though!! ^_^ I have come up with an entirely new post for the Movies portion of the Entertainment Forum..
This post goes out to people who get a tickled funny bone from famed comedy acts like 'Benny Hill, Monty Python, Ali G, and The Mighty Boosh' and movies like "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels"..
Now you must bring us a Shrubbery, or we will say 'Ni!' to you!! burning_eyes
I know this isn't Pee-Wee's Playhouse either, but i heard the secret word of the day was..

(One that's nice, and not too expensive)

Monty Python is probably the funniest show out of the ones you've listed, but there are so many other great UK shows that were left out.
Fawlty Towers, Father Ted, I.T. Crowd, Red Dwarf. But I doubt anyone would have voted for those shows if you included them.
Overall Monty Python is one of my favorite shows ever. My favorite sketch is probably Crunchy Frog.

The kinda sad thing about making a forum post about UK humor acts is that i can only name the most famous ones because everything else is funny sh*t that people have never heard of before.. I come from America, so i can really only watch the stuff that makes it over the Atlantic onto our networks.. I think Monty Python is one of the best comedy acts of all time though, and i catch "Flying Circus" whenever i can. IFC somtimes runs marathons of that show for hours, and it's pretty awesome to watch when you have nothing else to do.. burning_eyes

Your mother is a Hamster and your father smells of Elderberries!
Monty is hilarious "Especially in Quest for the Holy Grail" though the ending, (Like Bobobo's) left me utterly dissapointed in the movie. gonk Main difference is (I think) Bobobo did it TWICE! scream It's (possibly) my all-time most despised cliches. P.S. the French are revolting! (And not for freedom either! Hahaaa!){Joke}

IFC somtimes runs marathons of that show for hours, and it's pretty awesome to watch when you have nothing else to do.. burning_eyes Funny thing about that, I saw John Cleese live a few years back, he was talking about his life and career, then brought up one of his other T.V. Shows Fawlty Towers. He asked how many of us have seen or even heard of it, and my roommates and I cheered along with a few other people, John accused me of lying, but we assured him that we have not only seen but love that series. He stood in shock, he said he's toured our country doing so many speeches and talks at different Universities and Venues, and most other places no one has even heard of Fawlty Towers, so he was quite impressed with us.
He then went on to say that Americans mostly remember and know him from Monty Python, but fans and film critics in England remember him for Fawlty Towers, and even think it's his best series.

Monty Python continues to dominate the poll, and is so far uncontested.. I think that is awesome!! ^_^ On IFC again the other day, i also saw the comedy troop performing for some then live audience mixed with some taped footage, and i thought it was really funny.. burning_eyes

Well I say Ne-wong to you sir! Monty Python is pretty funny, though a bit dry, but that is British Humor, at least compared to American slapstick.

Sir not appearing in this film.. lol That one cracks me up every time!!
The Monty Python act is still slaughtering with an all consuming 100% of the votes in the poll, and i'm still not surprised at all because they deserve it.. ^_^
I still really like the Mighty Boosh if only because of crimp, and future sailors.. Borat is also funny too if only because of his outrageous accent and perceptions.. But, in the face of Monty Python, i must say.. "Ni!" to both of them!! burning_eyes

^I would. I pretty much grew up on Father Ted and Red Dwarf lol. Other shows you guys should check out are........ Spaced. Creators of shawn of the dead. Its not hilarious but its pretty good. The Inbetweeners is pretty popular over here right now. Its well worth a watch for ya guys over there. The Office [English] Its wayyyy better than the american one

Monty Python is epicly amazeing. I have the entire box set of Flying Circus and love every hillarious momment. I would have to say that my favorite scetches are the Minestry of Silly Walks and the Parot Sketch. As far as their movies go I would have to say that though The Holy Grail is hilarious I prefere Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life.
"Does anyone else feel like haveing a little titter when I mention the name Biggus Dickus?"
"Shut up you Amarican. You always talk you Amaricans you say things like I just want to say this or let me tell you somthing. Well your dead now so shut the f*** up"
Favorite Brit comedy of mine is On the Busses. Absolutely histarical.
"Dont call me Frankenstine no more!" "Ok Dracula"
