Joker swears revenge
Prince Joker, rejected by Kapow! a second time, Talked to the press about his feelings on the matter.
"I don't get those guys. I mean, I have to have a 'real name'? I'm the freaking Joker! Joker is my name! They're just a bunch of elitist perverts. I'll fix them someday, just you wait. They'll explode with cherry filling!"
Clark~Kent, who at the time thought he was Batzarro, supported Prince Joker. "Joker is me best friend! I will use me fighting skills and prep-time to destroy all!"
Pryde/Ayers: It's on!
Jaeger Ayers and KittyPryde has been setting the guild on fire with their hot, hot romance. Even Emma Frost thought they were too hot and heavy. "It was sickening," said Ms. Frost. "She lectures me about ethics, yet she's dating a man she barely knows, and carries on like a Harlequin romance in public!"
Danvers/Rider: It's off!
Linda Lee Danvers and Richard Rider seemed to be heading for Splitsville. Witnesses say the two got into a verbal altercation over her participation in a charity auction. Rider left in a huff, and Danvers seemed angry. When asked about it Danvers' response was "Maybe if he buffed his helmet some more, he'd be able to see the idiot staring back at him!" The reporter declined to to correct Ms. Danvers knowledge of Rider's helmet, feeling that telling her Mr. Rider's uniform was a cybernetically controlled liquid polymer and therefore cannot be buffed, would end badly for him in the emergency room. In addition to the incident, rumors are circulating that Brainiac 5, Ms. Danvers' ex-boyfriend, is thinking of entering Kapow!.
West goes East
Wally_West and his wife Linda Park West have suspended negotiations with DC Comics after West was forced to participate in Infinite Crisis.
"The story was crap," Mr West stated. "I told DC time and again I wouldn't work with Geoff Johns. They complied and got him off my book, but then he pulled me and my family into this stupid crossover mess. Dan Didio kiss my shiny white a**!" The West family has moved from the Keystone/Central City area and to Hoboken, New Jersey. Mr. West is considering changing his name and getting a deal with Marvel. "I could be the next Whizzer! Well, I could get them to change the name."
Legion Smackdown!
As the Legion of Super-Heroes begins to make its persence known, two of it's members are thinking of other things. Val Armorr, the Karate Kid, had this to say about Mon-El: "He's weak. All I ever here out of him is 'I'm Superman's brother! I spent a millinium in the Phantom Zone!' Whatever. When he starts actually doing something other than star-gazing, he might get some respect." Mon-El responded: "He's just jealous because of all the attention I get for the founding of the Sentinel Worlds. Plus he may be a tad frustrated with Tinya's ignorance of his feelings in Volume 5."
