The Land of Earth is one of the Five Great Shinobi Nations and contains the village of Iwagakure. The leader is called the Tsuchikage. The ninja in Iwagakure specialize in earth-based jutsu. Earths Country is filled with mostly mountainous dry ranges with only occasional patches of green forest covering small sections of it.

Oasis scooted across the fallen tree bridge and hopped off at the other side. "taadaa!" she cheered before looking around. "Guess we are almost there now huh." she states as she took up the lead and walked in front of the group, she didn't have any disguising clothing or anything like that so she had nothing she needed to change about her wardrobe.

Itoku nodded accepting what Hatsuma said, it was a pretty good idea. So he pulled his hood and mask back on concealing his face, and ears, once again. "I think we should make our first priority contacting our people here." he states as he quickly over took Oasis' position out in front. "Once we have made contact then we can continue on our purpose." he adds before turning and heading in the direction of the hidden village, and hopefully to find a contact for the tribe that was based here as well.

Oasis took up the pace and followed along behind Itoku fairly closely. She looked around as the environment around them was starting to change, the terrain becoming more rugged and less moist. "Hnn." she mewled quietly a bit disappointed by the change. Then it occurred to her, she had traveled through so many locations, and she hadn't stopped at a single bath house, not even for a quick dip. Oasis let out a frustrated sound of exasperation at this. "Auugh." she followed it up with a vocalization without really stating what was on her mind.

“It’s a larger country then frost and we won’t find them in the same way we found the frost caravan… we’ll likely need to head into town first to gather some intel about strange occurrences in the area, hopefully that will give us some clues as to where they might be and where we should look… “Hatsuma explained coolly as they were certainly within the realm of earth country by now. They have been traveling for some time and the light had faded away from the sky, they needed a place to rest for the night. “I think we should get into town and get a place to rest, it would also double as a base of operations for us to work from as we investigate the situation as well as the location of the earth country caravan. Not bothering to listen further on the matter right now she picked up the pace and headed along the now dry terrain towards the nearest village upon the main road.

Soon they entered the rather sleepy streets of a small village, the architecture was very similar to that of wind country's hidden village in that it utilized the natural sources around it to make its walls and roofs, though rather than sand in this case it was stone and dirt. It gave the village a rather primitive feeling save the fact the windows held glass and some of the buildings were brick, likely stores and such. The interiors would likely hold a much more modern décor to it than the exterior did. Pushing the building designs aside she began to seek out a place that held room and board for the evening so they could get started with a fresh head on the following day.

A large building came into view baring a sign which read ‘INN’ in bold letters, it was definitely a place they could stay since it was large it likely held many rooms within. Hatsuma entered the door to the establishment and quickly found the receptions desk to set up a room for the evening. “I would like a large room for three…” Hatsuma stated bluntly to the receptionist promptly turning about to pay her new customer the utmost attention.

“I see, it will be for the evening? Or will it be for a longer period like the other guests have been requesting…” The receptionist stated shortly, her mention of other guests a likely source of woe for her currently.

“three days will be fine…” Hatsuma responded calmly her face stoic as ever as she allowed the receptionist to rustle about for the key as well as a clipboard and waver to sign for the room. She passed it across to Hatsuma who looked it over before promptly signing it under an alias.

“That will be 300 ryo, the rates had to increase ever since that rumor of legendary weapons spiked an influx of travelers into the country… here’s your key, the room number is 33, it’s on the second floor, please try not to crowd the hallways during your stay…” the receptionist finished before returning to her prior business. Everything settled Hatsuma lead the way up to their temporary base of operations, it turned out they were lucky to get the room with all the would be treasure hunters about swarming in from far and wide just to get the chance at legendary treasure.

Oasis really didn't have any input to offer so she just followed at the rear of the group quietly. They eventually entered a village, of no descriptive value what-so-ever. She nearly yawned at how boring the place was, if it weren't for the idiots milling about in hopes of finding some 'magical' swords this place would likely look a ghost town. Oasis followed closely behind and looked as they found their way to an INN and went inside. When Hatsuma grabed the keys for the room Itoku dropped the payment on the counter. He followed after Hatsuma, Oasis quick on their heels. She was quite bored and still didn't have anything to input about anything really.

Stepping through the door to their rather large room she glanced around a bit before setting her things on a chair and proceeded to inspect the entire room before turning back to the two. “We can rest here and combine information we’ve gathered for now though I think I will head out and look about the town some to attempt to discern the useful information from the pointless…” Hatsuma commented calmly setting the room key on a table before heading over to a window. Before opening it she removed her coat and pulled a white tag from her shawl which shortly shot to life coating her body in a black garment which easily concealed who she was. Though all four of her arms were visible now her disguise upon arrival was that of a two armed individual.

“You two decide what you want to do for the evening, I’ll return before sunrise with hopefully a bounty of information to add to our table…” She finished before opening the window and stepping up onto the window ceil before hopping to an adjacent rooftop. From there she proceeded to sneak along to begin her information gathering task with much stealth.

Oasis followed after Hatsuma and sat down on the bed, the task she was talking about really was best suited for Hatsuma so she had nothing to do. She took a deep breath and laid back on the bed and stared at the ceiling. She sighed quietly and placed her hands over her face, she felt rather pointless actually. "I will see if I can find out other information." Itoku states before bowing and exiting the room, leaving Oasis in the quiet. She didn't respond or sit up, if she just stayed right there the two would eventually return with useful information. If she followed either, it was highly likely she would blunder it up, she wasn't known for her stealth, or for being subtle. So she just took to staying right there it would probably be better. Besides, with some time alone maybe she could hone some things, maybe she could figure out how to use her powers more skillfully or tactfully. She eventually sat up and threw a coin at the light switch bathing the room in a cold dark as the curtains had yet to be drawn open so the little light outside was not entering the room. She sat on the bed crossed her legs and closed her eyes.
As Oasis lay on her back she could hear the rhythmic thumping of her heart in the silence of the room, along with the rather muffled sounds of those moving about outside the room. She drew in a deep breath and let it out slow and steady cycling a slow rhythm of breath she drew in her heart beat and synchronized her breath with the beat, and then used the synchronization to slow both down. Her heart rate slowed enough to allow for a deep trance to begin as she closed out her awareness of the extra sounds and focused on the sound of her heart. She didn't need to be so down on herself. No, she had a reason and a purpose. It may be different from those around her, but it was hers, and hers alone. She held the rhythm and slipped into a good solid trance state finally.

"~hime, ~Hime?" a voice suddenly echoed across the silence of her mind. She didn't recognize the voice, it sounded close by, and yet far away at the same time. She could tell the sound was not external, and so she reached out with her mind to find it.

"Excuse me?" Oasis responded to the voice as her mental plane expanded and opened so that she could traverse it properly. A short white figure stood within the rather simple desert like plane. Its shape was muted and rather impossible to comprehend.

"Hmm.. You aren't the one I'm looking for are you?" The voice spoke again as the white figure moved slightly, she couldn't tell which direction it was facing, she could only assume it had moved its 'face' towards her.

"I would suppose not... I am not a princess after all." Oasis said lightly as she knelt to look closer at the white form. As she knelt down her mental plane suddenly began to feel cold, not like a desert night, but rather, like the land of frost felt. The biting cold she was so unfamiliar with.

"I'm not so sure of that." the voice spoke a little more clearly now as the form itself became a little more clear as well. Large segments of red appeared within the white form and two tall segments stood from the top the assumed head of the figure. "You feel much alike to the one I am looking for..." It states, the voice sounding a bit confused now. "My previous princess, Arisu told me to expect a new princess..." the voice now sounded a bit more masculine, at least like that of a younger male as it spoke. "However... I cannot tell, are you the princess I am seeking?" it asked straight out as a pair of striking blue eyes became more plainly visible on the still rather formless individual.

"...All I can say, is, I'm not a princess. Only my father ever called my princess... But what daddy doesn't refer to his little girl as a princess?" Oasis questions as she straightened her kneeling posture and looked out past the white figure into a changing landscape. It looked like a forest, like one they had passed on the way through fire, frozen like the land of frost, and yet a fine white sand, that looked like snow and yet moved like sand covered the ground and blew about between the trees on a light wind. "This landscape, is not normally what I find in my brain though." she states a bit put off by this odd turn of events.

"Well, you have seen alot of places recently right? So its either a conglomeration of your experiences, or... something else more important." the white figure states with a bit of a sarcastic wit to its voice. There was an odd flicker of movement over the figure and the segments of red looked more like oddly rectangular plates of some kind. "I cannot say if you are my princess or not yet..." the voice spoke slightly as it turned its 'back' towards Oasis and looked out over the landscape "but, if you can see this much... then perhaps... Hmm. I suppose, the correct title for my previous master would have been Queen then would it not have... and that would make the king right, once again." he states with a short chuckle "I'm going to just watch ya for awhile longer, and see if he's right again." he states before taking a few steps into the cold white sand and vanishing in a swift swirl of what looked like petals from the lotus flower.

Oasis took in a breath distracted by what was happening in her mind that was out of sequence with the rhythm and lost the depth of her focus and found her self returning to standard conscious state her eyes opened to see her room mostly unchanged, aside from one thing that was off. The box and scroll had moved. The box was open, and the scroll lay beside the box, which was not how she had left them. She knew no one had been in the room, she would have felt it, unless they were some super high class of shinobi, but that was massively unlikely. She hopped to her feet and moved over to the box and looked inside, sure enough the strange weapon that she was given rested inside. She couldn't tell what kind of weapon it was. Shaped like a segment cut from a circle, it didn't even seem to hold a blade, it held a fair crimson red color to it, along with some gold etching, and the edges were accented with the same gold color. She reached down and touched it to find that the weapon was ice cold, like the air in frost country. She shivered lightly, not from cold, but from an odd though that raced through her mind for only a brief moment.

Hatsuma silently crept along the rooftops coming to a rather active establishment just down the street, it was some sort of tavern; she would need to blend into the surroundings to gather information. She pulled a small vial of liquid from a belt strapped to her leg and opened it pouring the fluid onto her black jumper, shortly it shot to life spreading rapidly across her body and when it finally completed it cause her body to fade almost entirely into the background, she seemed transparent and for most people that was more than enough to hide within the shadows. Sliding down along a fine cable she made her way into an open window and crawled up the wall into the rafters. Her camouflage combined with the shadows and her still nature ensured her invisibility to the tavern’s patrons. It was loud and bustling for such a small village yet she figured it had to do with the fact someone in the country had information on legendary artifacts. Her attention was drawn to a group of what were obvious to be as shinobi, and from fire country given their headband’s symbol.

“Well Tori, this village has got to have some clues to the swords for sure! And with your bird techniques we’ll be able to search the entire area in a breeze!” The taller male fire Shinobi commented a smirk on his face as he spoke to a shorter petite framed kunoichi who’s boyish styling of hair only made her seem more like a child though it was likely she had superiority over the tall male as her sharp glance to him caused him to shut his mouth.

“Levens I already told you to keep things under wraps about our mission… who knows who might listen in on our conversation… as much as we are here to gather info, others could be doing the same thing as well you dolt!” she scolded him though her voice held much less bite then her eyes did yet the male named Levens seemed to get the picture.

Hatsuma’s attention went away from the two having gather some useful tips from them, it was clear the information about the swords could be located here yet she was looking for information that might key her in to the location of the earth caravan. Paying attention to a rather perturbed group of what was likely to be locals she listened in carefully as they spoke about some strange events.

“Iunno how much longer we can let that house stand wit it haunted an all, I’m on my last straws with this ghost house! We should smash it!” an elderly individual bellowed out in complaint. To his drinking partner who simply shook his head.

“the committee has already decided against that, you know what happens when demolition even tries to get close, the ghost sends out demons to thwart away the team and last time one of the workers even died!.” The slightly younger man explained before taking a drink from his tankard of alcohol.

At this Hatsuma slithered her way free from the tavern and aptly decided to take a peek at this so called haunted home. Making her way along the rooftops once more it was easy to spot the house that had caution tape all about it. By now the potion that caused her to blend in so well faded away and she hopped to the ground her outfit was solid black once again. Looking about she approached the building. There was certainly something inside the building that much was certain. As she stepped pass the caution tape and began her approached of the door she found herself in a plume of dust and was shortly jerked downwards. As the dust cleared she found herself seated and tied in place as some rather uniquely dressed shinobi surrounded her weapons at the ready.

“The committee is sending shinobi to destroy the house now? I didn’t think they had the money for this… Either way we cannot let you destroy the house until the spirit inside is dealt with… we’ve told them this already…” a man stated bluntly his voice gruff and irate as he spoke to Hatsuma who was still masked. She spotted the markings on the man’s exposed arms and opted to speak.

“You are with Earth’s caravan then? Perhaps I could assist you in this spirit release in return for admittance to speak with your leader?” Hatsuma stated coolly not showing any signs of pressure as usual of her attitude.

“You know of the caravan? You must be from a sister tribe then… very well I think this arrangement will do since you know why the spirit must be released before the building is destroyed… balance is everything…” the man stated as he rose a hand causing the bindings to fall away into the dirt, Hatsuma promptly got to her feet and bowed in gratitude to them allowing them to use their dust technique to transport her outside the inn she was staying.

Hatsuma arrived safely in front of the inn with the earth nomads nowhere to be seen and a new task for them to accomplish for these particular people. Hatsuma hopped up to the open window that she had exited from earlier and noticed the darkness of the room, perhaps Oasis had gone to bed? Soon her eyes adjusted and she saw the sillouette that was likely to be Oasis. “Has Itoku returned yet? I’ve gotten information on both the swords and the earth nomads, in fact I’ve been given a task by them…” She stated removing the mask from her face as she stepped down from the ceil and made her way into the center of the room.

Oasis reached down into the box and picked up the strange device that had been called a 'sleeping weapon'. What exactly was it? She moved it around lightly in the air and looked at it, its balance was awkward so was its shape, it was rather large, and it was oddly heavy for its size. How was this a weapon? She ran her finger along the shimmering golden hued edge at the outside of its curved shape and sighed. As she felt the weapon and moved it about she sensed something about it. She stopped moving and looked at the weapon closely, what was that? It felt like something was reaching out for her. It had a feeling that was alot like when she spoke to the white form in her mind. Even as she held it she could feel the golden portions of it become cold once again. As she focused trying to find what it was she was sensing she snapped the weapon forward in her hand and it let out a sound before the shape expanded, it looked like a quarter of a circle now, a light hum came fro it and the gold potions shimmered lightly and the edge where one might expect a blade began to glow slightly before it let out a groan and then as quickly as it had opened it closed up and returned to its previous shape. Oasis looked down at it shocked for a moment before placing it back in its box and looking at it curiously as if she expected it to mysteriously change shape again. As she was staring into the box she felt something and turned towards the window as she heard and felt someone approaching she finally saw Hatsuma come in the window. Her eyes still shimmering blue slightly as she reached back and closed the box. "No, he hasn't come back yet." she states with a short shrug "So... what did you learn Hatsuma?" she questions curiously as she flicked the lights back on, she enjoyed contemplation in the dark, but it seemed odd to be talking business in the dark.

“I guess we’ll need to decide on whether or not we wait for him to return or simply deal with the task ourselves…”Hatsuma commented mostly to herself before giving her attention to Oasis who asked another obviously needed question. “Right… it’s a high probability that the person who has information on these swords is near this village… we also have a task to deal with a haunting in town. Completing this will let us speak with the earth caravan… it shouldn’t be very difficult to do at that…” Hatsuma explained as she made her way to a chair within the room to sit down, after all she had been running all about in this cooler than average climate and it made her a bit tired for the most part. Reaching into a pouch she pulled a small round pill from it and quickly popped it in her mouth. As the red sphere touched her tongue a wave of warmth shot forth from the spot and quickly enveloped her entire body by the time the pill dissolved completely. “I’ll leave the decision to whether we start now or not to you, it’s likely the hare has skills to track us to where we are so it won’t be like we are leaving him behind entirely…” Hatsuma explained briefly before waiting for Oasis’ opinion on the matter.

Oasis nodded her head a few times and then looked out the window and paused for thought. "Ya know what that rabbit can find us I bet." she states with another short nod. She turned and picked up the box and scroll. She put the scroll into the pouch at her side and then opened the box and remove the weapon from inside of it, which was the only thing in the box. She turned it over in her hand thinking if she should bring it or not. "...Ghost..." she states with a voice that held a lot less bravery than her usual robust tone. She shook her head thinking of the numerous ghost stories she had been told throughout her early childhood about the camp fire, or before bed even. So while she was scared of ghosts, she was also very curious about them. A few seconds after the initial fear response a grin took her features and she put her weapon back in its box latching it shut she put it with the scroll. "That sounds like it will be fun." she states before turning to the window. "So lets go and beat up a ghost!" she states before running at the window and jumping, she caught her hands on the top of the window frame and used it to sling herself out the window, she hit the wall of the next building over and kicked off it to reach the rooftop of the inn they were staying in. She waited a few moments for Hatsuma to follow her up there. "So... then I think you need to lead to this haunted place huh." she states with a light chuckle. In a few moments Hatsuma had taken the lead and Oasis followed directly behind her, well, not so directly. She made her way skipping and bouncing along rooftops in a considerable waste of energy compared to Hatsuma's far more low profile and direct approach. However they both reached their location in a few moments and Oasis stood behind Hatsuma looking up at the house. "So, like... this is the place then?" she questions once again sounding a bit nervous.

Oasis’ simple comments made the choice clear and they opted to head to the house on their own. Hatsuma lead the way her mask returned to how it was before she had entered the room. She hunkered down and practically crawled along the roof tops at a rather frightening pace and before on they had landed down in front of the haunted home once more. “Correct, we won’t be ‘beating up’ the ghost however… at least not if we can help it… we need to calm it down and find out how it can pass to the afterlife…” Hatsuma explained as she approached the door to the house, this time she was uninterrupted by the earth caravan. She placed a hand on the door as well as one on the door knob before speaking. “I’m entering your home in order to assist you in whatever way I can…” Hatsuma commented quietly to the door as if it were the spirit itself however it likely wasn’t the case. After a moment of almost ritualistic silence she pushed open the door and entered the home. It was clearly unlived for sometime the large room they were in to begin with was covered in a thick layer of dust and the vacant spider webs in the corner hinted that even the spiders had vacated the place to find better pastures. “I do not think the spirit here is naturally malicious however I’d be careful of your footing since this place is old… also don’t do anything that might make a home owner upset with you…” Hatsuma explained as she began to search about the room in hopes of finding some clue or sensation as to where and who this spirit was.

“I’ll check the upstairs you explore the rooms down here, I’d imagine there are quite a few of them judging the layout of this main hall…” Hatsuma commented looking back to Oasis for a moment before proceeding up the stairs. Once atop the steps her sight was greeted with a long hallway which branched off into six rooms three on either side of the large hallway, at the end double doors could be seen behind which Hatsuma was uncertain as to what might be behind them. Slowly she began traversing the hall making sure to reach the end before back tracking and checking the rooms. The tapestries upon the walls showed definite signs of wealth if the size of the house had not. Finally at the end of the hall she touched the handle of one of the double doors to see if there might residual energy upon it… so far no luck as to finding the source of the energy here. Doubling back she opened the first room on her right and stepped within searching around for clues or sensations.

Oasis looked up at the rather sizable home, which honestly stood out from the others amongst it, the person who lived here was either rich and didn't care to follow others in their architecture, or had a serious lack of fashion sense. Oasis smiled lightly and followed Hatsuma to the door, she listened to what Hatsuma said, and was a bit confused by it, however shen she told her to not do anything that would upset a homeowner, she didn't really know what that meant, so she decided to fall back on things the elder had taught her. She paused before stepping in the door and clasped her hands together bowing her head lightly "Pardon the intrusion." she states lightly before stepping in through the door, the stone landing at the front door was cold and she made quick steps to get off of it. "Yea, kay I will look around down here." she states with a grin before looking down at the hardwood floor, it had a fair layer of dust on it and it looked as though it hadn't been washed in ages, the other signs of age really poured it on. She shook her head, it had been years since anyone had lived in this place. The home itself had to be sad because of that. She touched the wall lightly and looked down the hallway. "Sorry sad little home." she states softly to the building itself as she walked down the hallway and turned off into the first room she found. She stepped into what appeared to be a library, easily hundreds of dusty old books lined the walls in neatly organized shelves. Just like everything else in the house it looked as though not a single book had been disturbed for years. She stepped lightly into the room and looked about taking in the number of books and the titles of books she could read, there were books on martial fighting styles history books about the earliest ninja wars, there was even one on the most recent war, she surmised that book in particular was probably one of the newest in the room, which actually made it seem a bit out of place when compared to the other books all around it. She stopped as she came abreast of a large wooden desk that sat at the rear of the room, some scrolls sat on the desk neatly bundled and stacked together, at the other end of the desk was an old oil lamp which surprisingly still had viable oil in it. Oasis thought for a moment and then pulled a little fire starter from her pouch and sparked a flame to life on the wick of the lamp. The slight orange glow from the flame bathed the room in its warm light. This made things a little more clear and visible in the room. There was a hush of chilled wind that rushed through the room taking a scroll to the ground with it. Oasis made her way around the desk and gathered up the scroll and looked at it. There was a clear red wax seal stamp holding it closed, so this scroll hadn't been opened since it was sealed. She wondered what was inside it, however thought better of opening it and instead stowed it away in a scroll holster on her pouch. She turned to look at the desk again trying to decide where that scroll had come from when a second bluster of wind snuffed out the flame and Oasis decided she had overstayed her welcome in that room and made a fairly hasty retreat. She stopped once outside the room and as she was about to close the door she could have sworn she heard the words 'keep going' in the gust of wind as she brought the door to a close. She took a deep breath and let it out with a light chuckle, wondering if perhaps she had just experienced a bit of a haunting first hand. She pulled the scroll out and looked at it again. The scroll didn't seem to carry the same aging as the house, it wasn't covered in dust and it didn't feel like it was going to fall apart like one might expect from an old scroll. She tapped its surface lightly with her finger, the scroll still had give and bounced back when she tapped it. She blinked a few times, it seemed odd for there to be something like this in an old building such as this one. Oasis sighed and put the scroll away again before continuing down the hallway curious as to what room she may find next.

Drake was still on the main path to Iwagakure. Or, at least he hope he was. He had looked at the map that was sitting in his pack several times since he found the main road after crossing the Rain/Earth border. So, he was pretty sure he was on the right road. After awhile, Drake decided to check ahead of him, so he looked over and saw a large slab of rock jetting out of a very large ledge. Since it took alot longer when he climbed that cliff to cross the border, Drake leaped up to the cliff side, this time landing on his feet, adding chakra to the soles of them, and starting running up the cliff-side. Once he approached the slab, Drake leaped away from the cliff, grabbing the side of the slab, then quickly pulling upwards so his feet could touch the side of the slab, then kicking himself up and over to land directly on top of the slab of rock. Once he did, Drake reached the top of the slab, and looked out ahead of him, where the main road was leading. In the distance, he saw what looked like large buildings, though from this distance they could be small mountains, as he was in the Earth Country, which was known for the many mountains it had, plus other rock formations. Drake shrugged. Even if it wasn't Iwagakure, he couldn't be too far from the Village. Drake then turned, and leapt from the slab of rock, landing his feet onto the cliff side again, and ran down it. When he almost reached the bottom, Drake kicked off of the side as he did to reach the slab before, only now he kicked off and went into a small flip so he could land upright onto the main path. After a moment when he landed, Drake felt very thirsty. So, Drake looked around, and saw a small shady spot near by. It wasn't really hidden, as anyone who was also on the main path would see him, for it seemed it was just a small path of the main road that had another slab of rock coming out of the other cliff side, as if it was meant for people walking the main road to stop and have a break. Drake walked over to the small path of shade and sat down. He then pulled out from his pack his cantine, opened it up, and drank the still cool water that was in it. 'I'll rest here for a few minutes, then make my way to Iwagakure' Drake thought while still sipping from his cantine.

Sorain entered the Earth Country with his two captives following close behind. The sun was fading slowly over the high mountains and cliffs that bordered the hidden village located in this area. Before long, they were covered with complete darkness, with no source of light other than that which was radiating off of the Rock Village itself. Sorain stopped walking for a moment to contemplate what he would do next. He knew that more likely than not the person that he was looking for was going to be inside the village, it simply was too harsh of a land to resiside here outside of the conveniences of the city. But he was a wanted Missing Nin. To simply walk into that village was a risk that he was not willing to take, even if they had not yet gotten word of him or his apperance if the day should ever come that they did, someone would more likely than not remember seeing him which tip off the hunters as to what he was doing now that he left the Country. Sorain squeezed his already closed eyes as he forced his senses to expell outwards and try and pick up anything he could about the area. It was an uneasing feeling being in such a place. The rocky material that the entire place was surrounded by caused the sounds in the area to eccho rapidly, something that through off his senses leaving him with only one choice. To activate his Sharingan and use it to help his blinded vision, something that he was more than hesitant to do. He was already a stranger in these parts, and having red crimson eyes of the Uchiha clan would most defiantly spark suspecition.

Turning abruptly Sorain yelled at his two followers, "Activate your Sharingans now!" He demanded. His mentality was, if all three of them activated there eyes, then instead of being spotted as one Shinobi Uchiha walking around, they would instead be reported as a group of Uchihas, which was something that Kirigakure would have no knowledge that would link him to such a claim. As far as they knew, the only other Uchiha that Sorain should be around would be his brother Sai. So to be in a group of three, it would surely throw them off of his trail.

Before entering the village Sorain lifted his mask over his mouth, pulled his hood above his head to cover his silver blond hair, removed his scared head band, and made sure to keep his head down. "You two, keep your faces hidden. Heads down, stay low key. Dont let anyone know that you are Shinobi. Hide your ******** hand bands. I swear to god if you draw attention to yourselves or me. I will trip you down, encase you in ice, and leave you in the middle of the village to be mocked until your blood vessels shatter." his ominous death threat was made even more intimidating by the calmness of his voice. Turning his back to them Sorain proceeded into the village under the ruise of simply being a wandering traveler here to sample some of the pleasures of the Rock Village. But in truth, he was seeking something far more valuable.

As Takera began to follow Sorain into Earth territory it felt a bit refreshing to be free of the constant rain, but the dry humid terrain wasn't really a step up in terms of conditions. It was the exact dire opposite of the previous conditions. Hoping that the village was near Takera trudged on through until they came upon a point where a natural path was visible. Takera's head rose in interest as he saw the path. Not because it was a proper path to walk on rather than hiking and climbing over tougher terrain, but simply because of what was there sitting on the path. He could see someone else on the path who sat relaxing. Perhaps it's a traveler? Or maybe... Takera thought to himself before trailing off. This person wasn't just a traveler. They bore a ninja band with the symbol of the Leaf on it. He considered whether or not he should suggest the path to the village, but after a moment he concluded it was too risky. There was no way this shinobi could already be alerted that Takera and Zeru were missing nin, but it's very possible that before showing up his village was warned of Sai and Sorain going missing nin. If he recognized Sorain's face, there could be trouble. He didn't look very strong to Takera, but he wasn't about to test if he was truely as weak as he seemed to be. He realized after the few minutes he had been evaluating the situation and watching the shinobi on the path, that Sorain proceeded ahead with Zeru and were now a bit distanced from him.

Takera gave no more attention to the shinobi in the path and moved hastily to catch up with Sorain and Zeru. Once he had caught up and matched their pace he just let his thoughts wander.

[( Flashback Start )]

Takera had been working hard to regulate his chakra as he did anything from stand on the side of a wall, upside down from tree branches, and even attempt to run on water while holding himself up. Everything was coming together, but he wasn't entirely sure what this all had to do with what father promised to teach him. He already knew how to manipulate his chakra well enough to move on surfaces that normally couldn't be traversed so easily. He wondered if maybe it was for the sharingan, but they had already undergone the training necessary and awoken their sharingans a while back. He sat down on the bank next to the water and laid back thinking about what his father had told him.

"Your brother has begun to excell at a rate faster than your own, Takera. You're falling behind. Is there a reason why you might not being doing so well?"
"I don't know what to do anymore. Zeru has a natural affinity for coming up with things on his own."
"That may be because of his elemental affinity."
"Elemental Affinity?"
"Your brother found out on his own that he had a natural affinity for the earth element. Everyone has an elemental affinity. You just have to find yours."
"How do I find my own affinity?"
"You can start by pushing yourself to farther lengths in control of your chakra. Once you've pushed yourself hard enough to spend long durations of time running on water and holding still on a surface that gravity would normally pull you off of, come back to me and we'll work on progressing your elemental affinity."

Without another word Takera ran off to find the closest most reliable structures he could to undergo the training his father told him to commence. He spent days doing nothing but attuning himself to staying as still and quiet at possible hanging from under branches. Though there were a few mishaps where the branches weren't thick enough or were too old to hold his weight for long periods of time and they snapped, dropping him on his head. After a while he learned how to tell which branches were strong and he learned how to naturally react to unexpected incidents in the most agile of ways. Once he was confident that his chakra control in keeping still under certain conditions was perfected, he began to apply his knowledge of his prior lessons with walking on water to the river down the way from the house they all lived in. At breakfast and dinner he would eat rather quick and almost choke at times before returning to his training. When he wasn't training physically and in the art of chakra control, he would sit and concentrate reviewing everything he's done and sorting the problems out in his head.

Over the course of the next few days he would stumble much like his time with stillness, but he fell a bit harsher. It was hard to stabilize the chakra while standing on water compared to walking up a tree and clinging to the bottom of a branch. If he messed up while running on the water he was slip into the water partially and come crashing down into the thick moisture, often inhaling bits of water as he went under. Takera wasn't sure how to fix the problem. He tried to take it slow, but when he did, it felt as if his progress was nothing short of 0% towards his goals. If he couldn't push himself to learn his elemental affinity, how could he keep up with Zeru? He despised the thought of being anything less than on par with him. After changing into dry clothes, he went into town. Takera couldn't help but feel incredibly down. The manipulation of chakra to steady himself on water while trying to run as quickly as he could was stifling. He wasn't going to make progress if he didn't try as hard as possible, but when he would crash into the water and go under it was almost terrifying. He felt like he may not come back up if he were to go under again. He couldn't wear himself out like before. It could end up being very costly for him. As he walked through town seeing and greeting the market stall owners he knew and watching as new stalls were being opened by those from out of town. On the day he went out, people from other towns would arrive to sell goods and explore. It wasn't extravagent like some places, but it was a nice boost to the economy of their village. The village was near the border where travelers and merchants enter and leave, so they couldn't help but stop along the way.

As he walked he saw some who looked familiar and a few new stalls, but what caught his eye wasn't the new stalls, rather, the new person. It was an old man who had gotten the stall on the far edge of the market. He could've picked one much closer in where he'd be sure to get plenty of business, but he chose the stall farther out. In curiousity, Takera made his way down the path to the far stall and began to look around at the stuff he was unloading. There were sickles, kunai, and plenty of odd end tools for standard work in rice fields and farming areas. Takera reached down towards the Kunai to pick it up and examine it as it didn't look familiar to the farming items Zeru and himself had used, but the old man immediately, with amazing speed, snatched the stack of kunai off the stand.

"Those are not for sale, young man. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to put them up there." The old man said as he stuffed them into a nearby bag out of sight.
"Do you mind if I ask what they are? I've never seen those kind of tools before." Takera asked, interested in the bladed items the merchant stored away.
"They aren't meant for farming, young man. That's all I can tell you. You seem to know atleast something about farming from the statement you just made. Is there something you're looking for?"
"Nothing in particular. I noticed your stand way out here away from the inner circle of merchants and became curious why it is you chose this stand. I figured I'd see if you had anything different from the normal stuff that comes through our village each week."
"I chose this stall because I'd like some business, but I don't want to be constantly hassled for my stuff. If fewer people come, it's easier to prevent thieves and I can relax more as I'm getting on in years. You seemed pretty down as you were headed this way. Is something bothering you?"
"... I came into town hoping to clear my head," Takera said as his head began to hang a low. "but I still haven't come up with an answer. I've been trying to walk on water. I can walk steadily, but if I run as I've been instructed, I end up losing my control, sinking, and tumbling into the water. It's terrifying. I feel like I'm going to sufficate." Takera didn't make eye contact with the man.
"You have to stretch the chakra more and keep a clear mind. The fear is what's throwing you off. You begin to move faster and the fear of messing up creeps into your head taking over and before you know it, you're concentration is broken and you're submerged in the water again" The old man pulled forth a set of head clips and pure white masks, placing them on the table next to his stall with a set of colouring tools.
"..The fear?" Takera questioned as his head raised back up.

He began to wonder why it was that this person so easily and thoroughly provided an answer to his concern. Noticing the mask he realized that this person was selling more than just tools and waited for him to setup his stall and tables entirely. After getting a chance to fully look over the contents of his stall, he stopped at the masks once more.

"I take it you colour these masks for paying customers?" Takera questioned.
"You are right, young man. The price for this particular craft is 325 ryo."
"Can you design a mask for me?" Takera inquired looking intently at the mask. "I want to make it of your own choosing for me."

Takera laid down the money for the mask on the table and and the old man stopped for a moment to ponder why this kid was so interested in a mask similar to those Tracker Ninja wore. He thought it over and after a moment he picked up the cash, stored it and told Takera to return in a few hours for the mask. He looked over the stand one last time and then made his way back towards the center of the market. A few hours later he returned to the old man's stand. The day was drawing close to it's final few hours as the sun showed signs of setting. The old man had begun to pack his stuff up as Takera came running back up to the stall. The old man was amazed to see Takera moving so fast without giving much effort. Just then as Takera was half-way to the stall, a child had run out from the alley nearby and right into Takera's path. It was almost certain Takera was going to plow right over the child and trip, but at the instant Takera saw the child, his eyes had begun forming that of a sharingan. Takera lept into the air with a short hop flipping and spiralling over the child landing into a slide 10 feet past the child without missing a beat. His margain for error was very low. What the old man saw as Takera took off like a storm and avoided the child sent chills down the old man's spine. He may have been old, but he was a shinobi of great sight and wisdom. He could see clearly in the instant that Takera's eyes had turned. Takera had landed facing the child assuring he was safe. He turned to face the old man, his sharingan now gone, but the old man had just stared. Takera became almost puzzled, but after doing what he had done, he felt rather good. He proceeded to hurry forth to the stall to collect his mask.

"Young man? Was that truely the Sharingan I saw you use?" The old man seemed rather intrigued, but in a frantic manner.
"How do you know about my sharingan?" Takera replied quietly and somewhat worried.
"Then it's true."

The old man went back to the rear of the stall and reached into the same bag he placed the kunai earlier. He pulled out small squares of what seemed like paper and came forth to Takera.

"Take this, child. Grip it firmly inbetween your index finger and thumb and try to concentrate your chakra making it flow into the paper."
"Alright." Takera took the paper from the old merchant and closed his eyes, concentrating and flowing his chakra into the paper. Suddenly the paper split down the center and then through the center once more to the 2 halves that were still in contact with his hand.
"Boy, that is simply amazing. That paper reacts to your natural affinity. I was right. You're a Wind user. Your natural affinity for wind is quite strong for your age. You should be impressed with yourself. For this, I'm going to place the mask you originally ordered me to make as an example in my stalls when I go from village to village and instead I will give you a different mask. One more befitting of yourself. This mask was once my own. A friend of mine gave me this mask on his death bed after passing his crafting skills to me."

The old man dug through his bag to reveal a head clip different than the rest. It formed a half ring around the back of the head and had two clips that came up just over the ear that clipped into each side of the mask for firmly hold it in place. He lifted the mask up to face Takera. Amazed by the mask's appearance, he could do little more than stare. It had a line running down the center of pure silky white. The left side of the mask was a silver tone that seemed to almost sparkle in sunlight, though at night, it was as dark as ever. On the right side the mask was a pitch black. The mask covered all of the face except for the eyes. The place in which the eyes were suppose to be were like a slanted box with a border of the opposite side's color around them. The eye holes were only big enough for Takera's eyes to be seen, but almost no skin. On the inside of the mask, long-ways, the mask had been engraved. "Swift as lightning and as agile as can be. The bearer of this mask possesses an amazing talent this world has yet to see." Takera rose the mask to his face after placing the band around the back of his head pushed the mask forward, clipping it into place. He took the hood of his favorite coat with blue trim and brought it up over his head. The man was almost relieved as what he saw. As if no words could describe what he felt, he took in the sight of the person before him wearing the mask and a hood concealing himself to look much different and more ominous than he had before.

Takera thanked the merchant and helped him load up the last of his goods onto a carriage. Afterwards, he saw the man off as the sun was setting and turned to head home. Certain that today had gone amazingly, he took the mask and it's headset off, hiding it in his cloak before he got home. Once home he relaxed and awaited the new day. He hid the mask and it's clip in his room in a compartment on the underside of a one-drawer bed-side table and went to sleep. The next day he arose eager and ready. After eating breakfast in a slower fashion enjoying it, he proceeded outside to the lake down the way to attempt his training once more. He reached the bed of water and stopped a step before reaching it in hesitation. He stopped to think about how he felt the day prior when he avoided the child and how amazed the merchant was. He felt an immence amount of emotion welling up inside. The man awarded him with such an amazing item for displaying such an amazing move as he did to avoid the child. How could he ever face anyone if he stopped now, when he was so close to finishing his training and moving to the next step? Takera took a deep breath and began to delve deep for the feeling that came when he had done what he had in the village. Everything welled up inside ready to burst as he concentrated his chakra. He took the first step into the water as everything burst forth from him. The flood of emotions, the feeling of not wanting to let those down who believed he was worth more than he believed, and the feeling of joy that came to him in the village the previous day. The first step felt so slow and drawn out, but in a heartbeat he was gone. He was dashing full pace through the water from one end of the lake to the other without mishap. His face full of tears, he wiped his face and turned to see his father standing in the opening on the side of the lake he originally came from. His father had watched in amazement at Takera's progress. To come so far in a day, he owed it to that merchant more than anyone. From there his father would teach him the art of Elemental affinities. Takera mastered expelling the wind at great force in only 4 days. Every night he was alone, he would take the mask out from under his desk to admire it and read the engraved words on the inside of the mask.

[( Flashback End )]

Takera moved forward with Sorain as he prompted them to active their sharingans. Without any hesitation, Takera's sharingan took form and enveloped his eyes. He watched as they made their way towards the village. Sorain began to cover himself up as to hide his appearance from those in the village. Takera stopped the second the vicious remark came from Sorain to remove their headbands. He immediately reached up and undid his headband, pulling it down and stuffing it into his pouch behind him, his hand feeling the mask laying within. "Huh?" Takera reached in and pulled out the mask he had hidden from his family for so long, even when it became just Zeru and Takera on their own. He placed the clip around the back of his head and rested it over his ears. From there he lifted the mask to his face and pushed it in clipping it in place. The vibe that came from viewing him while his sharingan was active and the mask was on his face was almost intense. The mask concealed his face and it was highly durable, so even if a fight broke out, the chances of it breaking were highly unlikely. Once he adjusted the mask he slid the hood over his head and walked closer to Sorain's right side looking around with his eyes, not moving his head.
