We were not in winter yet but the weather was already pretty cold and snow had fall for few days. But it was not really bothering Ariel. School had just finished and she was heading for the Library like always.
She has new center of interest recently like Senshi and Youma, but she knew she would not be able to find it on any books. So she decided to know much about herself.
She was still wearing her Crystal Academy school uniform while pushing the door of the Library. She smiled right away, it was a warm place with the smell of book she liked so much.

Anthony Darrow was, as always, hard at work. He had only himself to blame for the slight back up in data entry into the computers, as Carol had been sick due to the snow and he had, instead of getting to work early and staying late like he knew he should, spent a lot of his time playing in the snow. So he was sitting at his desk, rather than at the front desk, typing slowly as he entered each new book one by one. He also had to fix the corrections that had amassed, and remove any lost or damage books from the system as well.
On top of that were his normal library duties, though he was delegating sorting and shelving, shelf reading and the rest to the student workers. That helped, though they were mostly slow and not quite as efficient as he would have liked. How could he blame them? They were just kids, after all. At their age, he was not a fan of working, either.
From his desk he could see the front counter, and keep an eye if anyone queued up to check out books, or came up with any questions. He could also see people entering, and he looked up when he heard the door open on instinct. He saw the student and smiled, nodding his head in welcome as he always did, making eye contact to establish that it was okay to bother him, if they needed help.
Sometimes, when he didn't, people just kind of stood around awkwardly.

Ariel bicolor orange-green eyes stopped at the front desk. It was a man, in general it was a woman, it was the first time she saw him. He looked at her too, they had eyes contact, meaning she could ask him information maybe. Well it will be faster than searching myself she thought.
Not that she didn’t know where to find the books she needed in general but this kind of subject was not in her hobbies before. So she went directly to the front desk to ask the librarian.
“Excuse me Sir. I am looking for something but I don’t really know where I need to search. Is it possible to ask your help?”

Tony smiled and saw her coming toward the front counter. He got up to help her, limping without his cane. His son had a developed a new and fun habit of stealing the man's walking cane, which he needed since his leg had been wounded in an attack. He leaned on the front counter slightly, looking jovial.
"Of course! That's what I'm here for."
He smiled, typing at the computer to unlock it. It had fallen to sleep since he hadn't been using it, and that automatically logged the staff members out to prevent patrons using it. Just a precaution to keep personal information safe, and Tony didn't mind the routine of constantly having to log back in.
"What can I help you find?" He noticed her eyes, looking a bit surprised. He hadn't ever seen eyes quite like that before, but he didn't ask her about them just yet. Maybe when she was helped and settled he could pick up some casual conversation and bring it up.

The young girl waited a little moment before replying. She was not exactly sure how to formulate it and she didn’t want to give too much information too.
She posed her two hands on the desk and come closer, as if she didn’t want anyone else to hear about her request. It was not anything shameful or illegal, but it may be dangerous for her life it fall in the wrong ears.
“Actually….” She searched for the good sentence. “I am looking for something name Spica, I think it may be related to astronomy but I am not really sure. Maybe it is related to candles.” Her checks turned a little pink because the subjects had nothing in common and the man may think she was stupid.

Tony saw her lean forward in the classic 'this is a secret' or perhaps 'this is embarrassing' posture some of the patrons donned. He leaned forward on instinct, someone to confide in, at least, as there wasn't much that could surprise him these days.
Some people asked for some very strange books.
"Astronomy?" He looked thoughtful. For all his interest in helping senshi and civilians in danger from youma and the negaverse, Tony had no real idea about them. He hadn't yet put it together that their names were celestial, as most of the time the senshi's he met had obscure names that a man with no prior knowledge of stars would recognize.
So he was oblivious.
"Or candles? Hm," he said, turning the monitor of his computer so she could see. "I'll have to do a bit of digging for candles, but I can show you where our Astronomy section is? I'll come find you when I find some books on candles for you. Does that sound okay?"

Saw, looked like her question was kind of stupid. But she didn't know anything about Spica, which was kind of strange because it was her, well the past her... it was so complicated to be a Senshi.
But astronomy may be the right way. "Yes it it sound ok. I think there is more chance for it to be related to Astronomy"
After all their Queen was not Earthling.

Tony nodded, offering her a bright smile. He noticed she was hesitant, or still unsure of her choice, but he imagined they would be able to figure it out. Or he hoped so: he liked it best when he was useful to patrons, and they didn't leave disappointed.
He did a quick search, writing down some specific call numbers for books on stars and astronomy in general, which would take them to the books in question.
"Alright, it looks like they're up on the third floor, in the Q section. I'll show you where," he moved around the counter, guiding her to the stairs instead of the elevator. Maybe it was a pride thing, but he was determined to prove he was capable with or without his cane, and could get up the stairs when he needed to.

"Thank you very much for your help" the young girl said while following him. She could see he had a problem with a leg maybe, like he needed a cane, but it looked like he was doing pretty well without too or was it his own courage.
Anyway she followed him on the stairs until the third floor. She actually never went here, the economic and accounting books were on the second floor on D section.

Tony was looked a bit winded by the time they got to the top of the stairs. He sighed, drawing a deep breath before he indicated for her to follow him.
The Q section was rather remotely located, in the back of the library since it was not the most popular area, nor was it too high up in the alphabet. Both things working against it, the area was rather sullen and quiet, unpopulated. The shelves were packed, at least, as the books weren't in heavy demand when there weren't a lot of school projects requiring them.
"Here we are," he said, guiding her down one of the aisles. "These around here," he motioned to a shelf, "will mostly be about general... ah... space topics."
Not his forte, this topic. He smiled though, trying to be helpful.

Ariel was amazed by all the books waiting on this section. If she hadn't discovered her Senshi part she may have never come here. But there was a lot of books, she just hoped Spica will be part of this.
"Thank you. there are tones of it.... do you have any idea to limit research? If I guess right it may be related to stars or planet"
Her guesses just come from the Senshi meeting she went, some Senshi had name related to stars or mythology. The last subject was often pretty close to planet, like Zeus was called Jupiter too.

Tony looked thoughtful, his eyes scanning the shelves for her. He was wondering how to narrow down the search, knowing that so many books could be a bit overwhelming. That, and she had asked.
"Well, perhaps... ah..." he frowned, tilting his head, "stars in specific might be..." he traced his fingers over the book bindings, scanning titles. He picked a rather large book from the shelf, pulling it out and offering it to her.
"This seems to be an encyclopedia of sorts. You might have a good chance of finding whatever it is you're looking for in here? If you don't, you can always use one of the computers down at the end of one of the aisles, to narrow it down further."
He smiled, "do you still want me to go and look for those books on candles for you, while you read through these?"

Ariel took the book, it was a pretty big encyclopedia actually. If she was not able to find it inside it meat it will not be about Astronomy. She was already starting to turned the page when the librarian asked her about the candles.
“Oh yes please. I still would like to have a look on candles book, in case it is not about Astronomy. Thank you”.
Ariel had the bad habit that every time she had the noise on a book she tend to forget her surroundings. So she was already walking toward a table, turning the page, hoping she will found about Spica.

Tony nodded his head, smiling as she made to go back to her table. He shook his head, then moved to let her examine the book in peace, making sure to remember where she was sitting so he didn't get lost in his book hunt and end up with a book on candles and no one to read it.
Going to one of the computers, he ran a quick search, scanning the titles for anything that might be useful. Books on types of candles, or just candles in general. The history of candles? He found a couple that might be useful and went to collect them, having to change floors for one before coming back up with the small stack and carefully putting it on the table where she was reading.
"I found what I could. Ah, I hope these are useful? If you have any more questions, please, feel free to come and ask me."

Ariel was concentrated in her book, she searched for Ariel was concentrated in her book, she searched for asteroid names, space things ones. Nothing about Spica. She started to be a little upset, and wondering if it was just about candles finally? But she would not give up yet. She started reading the stars part when the librarian came back with the candles book.
“Thank you, I am sure it will help, one way or another” she smiled at him while she took the books and put it on the table beside her. “I will take a look at these ones as soon as I finish the Astronomical book. I will ask you if my researches are not successful”.
Which will probably be the case or not. She didn’t want to bother him much than this, he had work to do too.
