Name: Gardner Presley
Nickname: Never uses her first name, because she’s embarrassed it’s more commonly a surname; she will more likely be referred to as Miss Presley or Presley. Since childhood, people have thought it funny and original to call her Elvis, so that plagues her regularly, though mostly with strangers.
Age: 19
Birthday: October 8th
Sign: Libra
Gemstone: Aquamarine (many different gems are listed, varying depending on the month and the era; I preferred Lapis Lazuli but Aquamarine was more commonly listed as a traditional birthstone).
Blood Type: O
Fav. Food: Gardner has trained herself to love salmon dishes, but in reality she is extremely fond of spicy foods, in particular spicy Japanese curry with carrots and beef, but just about anything will do so long as it’s hot!
Hated Food: Strangely enough, Gardner really hates Indian curry despite her love of spicy foods. She also hates scallops with a passion. When angry, she’ll often accuse someone of being of “scallop” nature (i.e. she thinks that they are squishy, unreliable, cowards).
School: Crystal Academy (Females Only)
Hobbies: Makeup and Modification xxxxx For Gardner, it’s an art. She considers the human face a canvas which can be painted, but the reason she got into makeup in the first place was not to appear prettier. In fact, Gardner loves tattoos and piercings, but because of her background and her aspirations at higher education, she has to work hard to hide it. She’s become so skilled with makeup so that she can conceal tattoos and other marks on her skin, though her piercings are so small when she removes the jewellery that she seldom feels the need to hide them. If Gardner could spend all her time learning tattooing and piercing, she would do so, but it’s difficult to arrange a trip to local studios.
Horror movies xxxxxGardner. Loves. Gore. She cannot even explain to anyone how much she loves horror movies—quite literally, really. It’s an inappropriate passion for a young woman. Somewhat related to her previous hobby, Gardner also loves monster makeup. She has been learning that through books and magazines, as well as some videos. She has to practice in secret, and that duality of her nature is difficult for her to hold together sometimes. During Halloween, she is unusually helpful, as she makes the best haunted house props and makeup anyone could ask for.
Piano xxxxx Much more appropriate for a young woman, Gardner diligently practices piano pieces. She does enjoy it, except if she plays Moonlight Sonata she nearly always falls asleep, so she tries to avoid that particular piece. Her favourite composer is Wagner. However much she enjoys playing the piano, she finds it calming, not exciting like her other interests.
Virtues: There must be balance xxxxx This trait is perhaps considered a flaw in some respects. Gardner likes to hear all sides of a situation before she picks a side at all. It’s a virtue in that she’s pretty fair in her judgements, but some might consider it a flaw, because if her friends approach her expecting her to take their side.. they might find her cold when she refuses. Of course, Gardner isn’t emotionless, and sometimes for her friends’ sake she’ll support them. If they’re in tears, Gardner will comfort them; she just won’t make any assertions that they are undoubtedly right.
Tactful xxxxx When Gardner’s small opinions aren’t slipping out in a negative way, she can display incredible tact. It definitely reflects progress she has made in the Academy. Gardner has learned two things: one, how to say everything as kindly as possible; two, that people will listen much better if she words things in ways they find pleasing. For example, she may find that an acquaintance has terrible body odour. She will likely organize a “girl’s trip” and bring that acquaintance shopping, where she will inevitably convince them that it is the best idea in the world to buy a strong, nice-smelling bath soak and that she herself would love to use that regularly. Thus her problem is solved, and as efficiently as she knows how. Her tact is best revealed when she is feeling gracious (ex. to younger students, after she has just had good luck), when she is dealing with those she owes respect to (old people?), when she is well-rested and when she is doing something calming or in a calming environment related to her hobbies.
Flaws: Was I talking to you? xxxxx Sometimes her self-confidence mutates into bouts of self-absorption. If someone tries to council her that she ought not pursue a particular goal, her face tends to go blank, like she’s somewhere far off. She will be dismissive, and immediately after will go after that goal with every ounce of energy she can spare. She’s likely to gloss right over criticism and entertain the idea that she is achieving her own little version of perfection. Hearing otherwise is difficult, if not impossible, and she is likely to ignore the person talking.
I can smell you from here… xxxxx This has two meanings. Gardner doesn’t literally sniff people, but she does sniff all her food before she eats it. That is not what the flaw is about, though. Basically, Gardner is both slightly socially inept as far as what is rude and what is not. She has been learning to curb it at the Academy, but that hasn’t stopped her from occasionally slipping and saying something altogether not polite. Things like “Do you not bathe?” or “When you chew, you make disgusting smacking noises.” While she has developed tact and can escape this social ineptitude when calm, there are certain situations which trigger her old habits: when she is too comfortable with someone she will probably say what she means, when she is tired or particularly distressed over bad luck or ill health, when she is distracted or overwhelmed. Basically, whenever she can't devote her full attention to being a good girl, Gardner's virtue with tact slips into her old habits. xxxxxIts second meaning involves Gardner’s seeming incapability to give enough personal space. She always seems flinchy, too, like she thinks they’re going to fall and needs to stand extra close to catch them. It’s not affectionate proximity by any means.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
xxxxx *I’d like to leave most of her appearance up to the artist, if her character is appealing. I could specify further, but I do prefer artistic freedom and didn’t plan out exactly how she would look in light of that.
Eyes: Grey and near-constantly sceptical or contemplative.
Hair: Medium-to-long (anything from about breasts down is most excellent), preferably prisms, mirror fragments or other jewelry braided into the hair or incorporated somehow. Pulled up is fine, too.
Face: Preferably heart-shaped. She likes piercings, and when she’s hanging out with her less snobby friends, she likes a little gold curved barbell in her eyebrow (it’s called a micro BB) which has a plus sign on the top and a ball on the bottom.
Clothes: Artist’s Choice.
Senshi Alias: Sailor Hercules
Senshi Element: Shards
Challenge: “Am I getting under your skin?”
Attacks: Sailor Scout Attack: Hera’s affection. xxxxxGardner takes her tiara off and makes a snapping motion, releasing a copy of the jewel in the center into her palm. She then has to throw the jewel imitation, and whatever surface it hits, however soft, will fracture the jewel into a spray of painful shards. She has to channel all her energy and press her palms together, as if praying, in order to regenerate the jewel for a second attack; if she’s interrupted, she has to restart. xxxxxSailor Hercules takes her tiara off and extracts an energy-copy of the jewel. For all intents and purposes it looks, feels, weighs and behaves like the actual jewel. She then has to throw it, and whatever surface it hits, however soft, will fracture the jewel into a few pieces that cause little cuts, like a papercut; more irritating than painful. She can only use this attack twice per battle, and in order to use it the second time she has to come into contact with at least one of the shards to replace it in her tiara. It then takes five minutes to regenerate the energy to create another copy of the jewel, which she can throw again. If she tries to use it more than twice, the jewel won't regenerate in time and the more she tries the longer it will take before it's ready to use the next battle.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Cerberus' love. xxxxxGardner repeats the same snapping motion with her tiara, only instead of releasing a jewel into her palm, she lets it fall to the ground. It shatters into a considerable amount of shards which then swim through the top layer of earth as a river, darting in and out of the ground and making it unsafe to cross its path, until it bursts at the opponent much like a wave. xxxxxSailor Hercules repeats the same gesture with her tiara as in Hera's Affection, only this time the energy it forms is a little larger and when she throws it, it will shatter into shards which slice thin, shallow wounds on her opponent. She can use it as far as she can throw it, and she can generate two before she has to recharge. She can recharge once per battle, gaining a total of four spheres to throw, though the time it takes to recharge has doubled (10m before the 2nd set of jewels is ready). She doesn't have to throw both at once. Eternal Sailor Attack: Blood of Nessus.xxxxxGardner crushes her hand into a fist and when she opens it, it’s filled with red powder. Gardner can sprinkle it, blow it away from her, or dash it against an enemy. The shards refract light, acting as a sort of funhouse mirror and creating handfuls of Gardner illusions. If they inhale, or get it on their skin, the powder is comprised of small toxic shards which enervates and thus immobilizes her enemy; she can call the shards back to her by beckoning with the same hand she had crushed into a fist earlier, tearing the shards through the enemy’s body. She can’t control the shards within their body, however, so the attack’s effectiveness varies depending on how far into her opponent’s bloodstream the shards get. If they have some way of neutralizing the shards (water, for example), Gardner can only re-conjure the shards by cutting her own palm. xxxxxSailor Hercules generates what looks like a mirror-shield, and she hides behind it to deflect projectiles. However, on the first melee contact, the mirror shatters into cutting shards that will stick to whatever broke the mirror. The shard spray can potentially damage Hercules and her allies, as well as anyone else within range. She can't regenerate the mirror after it's broken during that battle, because it would drain her and break her henshin.
Inspiration Images: I don’t have an image, but I do have a couple songs biggrin Gardner’s personality as polished by the Crystal Academy and experienced by most: Serious Gardner’s balance to her severity, the friendly side when she finally manages to relax: Energetic

Gardner's attacks need to be... not so rough around the edges.

OKAY ATTACK CRIT TIME WOOOO ~
My main concerns about these is that they seem a little bit overpowered, and the Super attack doesn't quite fit with the first one. The effect / basic idea of your attack is not supposed to change very much between normal and Super stage -- instead you're allowed to add on a new one of some kind. c: For example, for Hera's Grudge you could have the shards of the jewel split in the air a second time and hit multiple opponents.
But I'm wanting to know, are these Real Actual Crystal Shards slicing into people? gonk That would be a bit bleedy, and a bit too deadly an attack to start off with. You can easily fix this by having them vanish on contact / sting really hard -- or if they cause actual cuts, note that they're VERY SHALLOW and are more painful than they are deadly (think like paper cuts!). At Super they can cause a little bit more damage. :3
Blood of Nessus! is the one that needs a lot of reworking -- while it's a cool idea, it's also pretty OP and could kill a lot of people -- and it's also a bit too complicated. Even though the Eternal attack is your senshi's Final Smash, it should still be easy to understand and not have that many effects: illusions AND immobilization AND severe internal damage is a bit much. D: I'd also steer away from shards that can be inhaled, since that alone is too deadly for other characters. @__@
If you have AIM I can help you toss around ideas for fixing the Eternal attack, that might be easier? Otherwise we can keep going in this thread.
