Terra -> Valley of the Forge
Valley of the ForgeTo the west of the mourning meadow lies a deep valley ridge. The descent into the valley is gradual though expansive. Throughout are abandoned encampments, and faint signs of life. Deeper in at the top stands a reservoir that feeds into a horseshoe waterfall, dipping down into a lake at the end of the valley. The water holds a secret deeper than the land... Valley of the Forge There is currently no alert for this area.

'Look, Master...' Sparrow was surprised by how moved she felt to be seeing the majesty of the new location. She lifted one thin arm, pointing at the waterfall and lake she could just make out through her windswept hair.

Ahhh... Fresh water, we could use a drink.
*Koth grinned and lowered altitude, following the length of the valley and coming closer to the ground as they went on*

'Yes.' Sparrow agreed, watching the approaching land with a small smile creeping over her normally impassive expression.

*Giving plenty of distance between themselves and the incoming lake, Koth came to a sudden stop and landed, looking warily from side to side. Within sight were abandoned tattered tents and the remains of campfires and other things*
Something is... different, here.

'Others have been here.' Sparrow observed, slowly dislodging herself and sliding back onto her feet. Regaining her balance by grasping the dragon's arm, she then took a few steps away, glancing about.

How long ago now... I wonder.
*He wandered off and inspected the torn flaps of a tent, then breathing in the cold campfire ashes*
Hmm...

Sparrow went along with him, curiously investigating a few of the articles left behind. She lifted up an empty, torn bag, peering into it.

Long... but not too long. They left in a hurry...?
*He gazed across the way to other sites that dotted the valley, trying to determine if any one was fresher than the others*

'Should we avoid this place?' Sparrow asked, not certain if her master wanted them to be around what seemed very much like humans. She dropped the bag, nudging it aside with her foot before looking back at Koth.

No... Not yet, anyway. ... This is only the second sign... of civilization I have seen her. ... We should search more.

'Okay,' She said, turning to begin tramping toward the next camp some distance away.

*He tagged behind her though wasn't moving very quickly. Too cautious to the ridges on each side, something felt off to him*
Not sure why... I never noticed this all... before.

'Maybe they were travelers.' Sparrow offered, also remaining on edge. She stopped at the beginning of the next encampment, crouching down to inspect another abandoned belonging--some sort of jacket that had been worn down to uselessness.

Maybe... ... This area seems defensible though. ... Then again, I see nothing permanent.
*Koth sat down a moment next to an old ring of rocks that still had a few good pieces of wood in it, and he set them alight*
It feels late.
