Timeframe:
I'm fine with pre-game, inbetween games, or post Mass Effect 2 (which would be making stuff up as we went along in preparation for...well, you know.).
I have played the Shadow Broker DLC as well as Arrival, so I'm familliar with what's going down.
Characters/canonability:
I'm fine with someone playing Shepard, I'm fine with custom looks. The name, class, and background can change, I'm fine with that.
With Shepard and romance, I can't stand the characters of Ashley, Kaiden, Jacob, Miranda, and I'm not too fond of Jack, so I would rather not do anything with them being romanced. On the other hand I love the Garrus, Thane, and Tali romance, so I'm more than happy to do those.
If Shepard isn't involved I would prefer as little contact with the squad members and other important characters as possible. Some is understandable (say, if the RP is on the citadel I would have no problem with encounter Garrus once or twice, or Aria T'Loak if the roleplay was on Omega, etc etc) but nothing major.
I have a human character, a Quarian character, aTurian character, and a Drell character as well, all with their own story lines, personalities, and whatnot.
Plot:
If there's no Shepard involved, just something with the characters. I prefer smaller arcs with a few overreaching plots, but nothing as heavy as what you would find in most games. Heavy overreaching plots tend to get messy, subtle ones are better.
Each of my made up characters have their own goals, as well.
RP Location:
Where we'll be RPing. I'm happy with gaia thread or PMs, or over a messenger. I have MSN and Yahoo.
Note that by getting involved in a roleplay we'll probably end up with some OOC talk, references back to the Mass Effect wiki, for clarification, and general pre-RP chatter.

Sounds incredible. How far reaching are you considering this RP? How many people are you looking for to get involved? Will the Illusive Man/Cerberus be involved? (le' cough)
And why do you hate human romance options? razz

What do you mean by far reaching?
I'm reall looking for a one on one or a small group, no more than four unless it turned into a full on crew thing. Past that it gets messy, and I tend to feel like I fall into the background.
The Illusive Man/Cerberus could be involved.
And it's not that I hate the human romance options, but I just feel like they're fufilling tropes and archetypes and don't really have a depth. Miranda bugs me, Jacob is bland, Jack is....crazy and I think you'd have to have balls of steel to get involved with that.
I've gained an appreciation for Ashley from ME1, but I'm not fond of Kaiden.

Fair enough. Just a personal inquiry into your romance notations.
As for "far reaching" I was just referring to the depth you were seeking. But, I'm down with being involved with the RP.
I have no problem playing a diversity of roles, and I am in need to find a roleplay. It's been far too long.

No worries. The romance options are something I could go on and on about, as I think they're interesting, but I did my best to not write an essay response, a haha.
Aah. I'm fine with any depth, really.
Well excellent! Is there any time frame/characters you'd prefer?
Also as a heads up, my internet is going to be spotchy for the new few weeks, but I should be able to get a good couple reponses a night, one at the least. I'm moving soon and the place I'm at now has no internet so I'm sort of borrowing the internet when I can.

I'm free to perform on all spectrum. I can be the random crew member that 'presses lights on a board' to Commander Shepard himself.
I have no issue with the time frame, however if it is Pre-ME2 and Post-ME1, that would limit the presence of Shepard due to the dead part and all.
If the time frame was post-ME2 and I was the Commander, I would incorporate a many of my decisions made as Commander Shepard during the cannon period.
Your connectivity issues will not be an issue for me. Allows for deeper roleplaying, though I have a tendency to want to communicate a lot at once.

Same here. I don't have tons of experience with crew but I'm game to try anyone, and I have a couple Sheps.
Yeah. I figure in that sort of time frame it would be mostly OCs or squad focusing/reactions.
That's fine, I'd expect anyone to do the same with their Shepards.
Indeed it does, so that's good at least.
I can give a paragraph at least for pretty much any reply, and more if I have something to respond to.

If you're both willing I'd love in too, I've got two turian OC's (A pirate captain and a pilot respectively) who I'd love to play with, alternatively I'm up for playing any of the regular interesting characters (Eg. Not Jacob who has the personality of a very dead fish!).

Maybe we should do something that's post ME2/before ME3?
That way we could use the crew and OC, without really disrupting cannon and without RPing the game, or something.
I'd be able to do a group with the two of you, if you'd both be happy with that.
(And if not, I'd be more than happy to do some OC RP with you, Pilots, I'll toss you a PM.)
