So even though there's another thread on the topic,

I thought I should share my own thoughts on Tangled, Disney's newest princess movie.

Alrighty, to start off with I loved it!

I got to see it for free because of a Christmas movie party my mom's work was having.

(It was either Tangled of Harry Potter. And did I mention I got free popcorn!?)

Anyway, I watched it with an entire theater filled up with little kids and their parents(I myself was with my little sister and her best friend).

Which made it really interesting when the sad parts came around:

("Mommy...is this the sad part?" "Yes Dear, you need to be quiet and watch." "But...is her mom the bad guy?" "I don't know, we need to be quiet and watch.")

heart I love little kids! heart

Aren't they adorably cute!?

ANYWAY! Sorry...without giving too much away,

I can safely say it was a really sweet, well thought out and executed movie.

The story line was wonderful(not your average Rapunzel I might add),

and the characters were very real(except for the whole...mile long hair of course.)

WARNING! MY OPINION:

I thought Tangled was better then Princess and the Frog,

the other recent princess movie Disney has done.

I thought Tangled was much more suited to both girls AND boys,

(because of those awesome action scenes)

and it didn't have a lot of the scary factors that Princess and the Frog had.

All in all, I would totally recommend it!

Well at least it sounds good! ^_^ Though I myself probably won't like it as much as Princess and the Frog; but that's because it isn't traditionally animated.

Now I have to wait ages until I can watch the movie...

By the way was the animation good? I mean it was meant to be different from other CGI movies; I just wanted to know if it indeed was different in any way.

Well it certainly wasn't Snow White,

so yes, they did use some different animation.

I liked it, I thought it made everything look really pretty to look at.

Especially this one scene with lanterns that I'm not going to talk about...

I thought that Tangled was amazing, it was different but the entirety of it was very well done and the characters were great!

I just like the fact the princess was bipolar.

I have to agree with all of you. : D

I saw it the first time with my friend, and loved it. So, I took my sister the second time. I can't wait to get the DVD.

I also think it was better then the Princess and the Frog, in my opinion, mainly because I didn't like the Princess and the Frog as much as the other princess and/or other films with princess-like characters.

Disney definitely has made me happy with Tangled. It has shot right up to the top five of my favorites.

Just please don't let them make a sequel and ruin it.

The newer Disney movies such as Tangled that you mentioned aretrying to push the CGi movement at Pixar studios...If you watch the newest Toy Story and the first you will understand MUCh more clearly...They are trying to make their characters look as human as possible without being human.
Animals now have just as much emotional detail not that Bambi didn't but CGI programs allow a user to control real life model muscles....

Now back to Tangled
I LOVED it!
I am a twenty year old woman who is sane and I took my younger and only sister of 16 and we both absolutely loved it. It has been a long time since Disney has made me cry (ie: Either Wall-E or UP) and laugh so hard.
I throughly suggest it though I did not see the film in 3D....

Also I liked Princess and The Frog though I felt for some reason it was too short and left me wanting more. I wanted to really try and connect with the characters which while doing so for Tiana was acceptable it at times felt like a random scrawling and loose storyboard.
So I'm torn....I love the idea of a modern fairy tale though. New Orleans and voodoo...Plus it was disney's first colored movie. So Bravo on that note

It turn out a certain Disney character made a cameo appearance in the film.

They do that from time to time: Belle in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Carpet in Princess and the Frog, and Scar in Hercules. I didn't catch the reference in Tangled. Who was it?

I know. I loved the Tangled Movie. In my opinion, I think it was the best movie I have seen in 2010, well next to Alice in Wonderland lol
