Greykit, Stonekit, and Nightkit stumbled out of the Nursery, still sleepy but knowing that their mother needed time away from them because of how badly they behaved yesterday when ThunderClan's Medicine cat came by to get some herbs."Mama was really mad at us." Little Stonekit mewed quietly.
"Yeah, I've never seen Mama like that." Greykit added.
"She'll forgive us eventually, don't you worry you two." Nightkit nudged his sisters, giving them reassuring smiles.

Ashpaw walked from the apprentice den and saw the kits talking away from the nursey, "what are you doing outside of the nursery with out your mother" he asked trying to be stern but failing at the cutness of the kits...

The kits stop in their tracks at Ashpaw's voice."Mam-," Stonekit's sweet new turns into a cough as she continued, "Mama needs a break from us." She started to cough again.
"Yes because after yesterday she is very upset with us." Nightkit is by his sister's side, making sure her coughing fit didn't last long.
"Yeah, we're just giving her some air. We aren't going to leave the camp if you were wondering." Greykit's somber mew was empty of all emotion as she starred at the grey sky. "It's going to rain tonight."

Ashpaw nodded, "well done Greykit, your scences are working very well at such a young age, and as for the rest of you, just stay in sight of the nursery, ok" he said looking at them individually in turn

Dawnpaw smiled as she saw and heard their conversation. "Ashpaw, maybe we can teach them a few things about being an apprentice." she suggested.

The kits looked at Dawnpaw with wide eyes. "You're kidding." Nightkit stated.
"Will you really teach us about being apprentices?" Greykit was bouncing in excitement.
"It would be fun." Stonekit was just barely able to get her soft mew heard over the chattering of her older brother and sister.

Dawnpaw smiled even more. "Little things, like how to dodge and all that stuff, but then you'll not have to be bored all day." She shrugged

Nightkit eyed her warily, "Okay, but you must be careful with Stonekit." He worried about Stone'kit's health, he didn't want her to get really sick.
"Hey," A fit of coughs over took her for a moment before she could continue again, "Okay, I see your point Nightkit." She looked up lovingly at her brother.
"Okay, since that's settled, lets begin practicing!" Greykit was filled to her ears with energy.

Dawnpaw started to frown. "Hmmm, Stonekit, maybe you should see the medicine cat." she said warily.

"Don't worry Dawnpaw, I'm fine. I just gotta make sure I don't over tax myself." She knew she was strong enough to practice a bit, not as long as her siblings, but long enough.
"And besides," Nightkit began.
"We'll keep a close eye on her." Greykit finished. The three kits were smiling at each other, they would always support one another when they could.

Dawnpaw still looked uncertain. She eventually gave in. "Ok, how about you three race to that tree over there. Come one Ashpaw!" she said playfully as she viewed the kits.

The three siblings were delighted as the made a mad dash to the tree to their far left. Of the three, Nightkit made it first, only stopping to keep Stonekit from tripping over Greykit's tail. Greykit and Stonekit made it to the tree together, both panting lightly and both very happy.

Dawnpaw smiled, and started over to congratulate them. "Good job, that is the usual way to get an apprentice all pumped in the morning. Now, Nightkit, Stonekit, and Greykit, do you think you're ready to learn some moves?" she raised an eyebrow.
(Do cats HAVE eyebrows??)
